Beware! This company does work without your consent, and will charge you!…read more I am disappointed to leave this pool company after 2 years because they went ahead, and did work outside of my agreed upon contract of a pool opening. At no point in time did they contact me to do "additional work". Therefore, be very careful. They replaced a piece that did not need to be replaced on top of my filter, tossed to the side. Not once letting us know. Not once hearing from us to agree on them touching anything outside of an opening. What's more disturbing is now the piece that was replaced I am not sure can go back. Thus, forcing me to now shut off my pool filter and now not using my pool until this company resolves this blatant issue of unauthorized work and possible damage to what they replaced as irreplaceable now. Make sure you find a pool company that values their customers consent on all work done on your property. Especially because I was not even home for this lack of consumer respect. I would ALSO like to point out that the items replaced were there last year and the year before that. and NO ONE DID OUTSIDE REPAIRS UNTIL NOW. I WAS TOLD LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

From our first interaction I knew she'd help me achieve my dream of having a pool in our backyard! Kristen was responsive to every question or concern we had, she consulted with colleagues when needed and always kept us in the loop communicating every detail of our pool project from beginning to end. If you've been thinking about getting a pool reach out to her! You will not be disappointed :-) Kristen and the amazing team at Concord, from excavation to cleaning to service, have given me and my family something that we've only ever dreamed of and every time I walk outside I smile! Thank you all so much!

This year has been hell and in my opinion Latham pool shells are built cheap...poor quality! Not worth the price nor the headaches! I won't even mention the thousands of dollars I lost this year to water replacement, chemical replacement, leak detection services and plumbers!

My pool was put in the ground in Mid-May 2025 and partially filled with water seat that time there no issues. When all the plumbing was connected and the pool was filled and cleaned, a signifiant "scratch" appeared on the face of a step. But after closer inspection, the "scratch: was the serial number etched into the gel coat (a picture is attached). And when I complained and requested it be removed under the warranty, they said this is standard practice therefore not covered by warranty. What company stamps their serial number in a prominent place on their products? And when they denied the claim, they offered to "fix" it for me for $2500. One additional comment on Latham Pools but this may be indicative of the pool industry in general. Make sure you investigate the company that claims to be "certified" Latham installer. I chose Backyard Pools and Spas in Richmond, VA which was a huge mistake. All I will say on this post is to use all of the public resources available know who is installing your pool. Use all the state and local government websites that issue contractors licenses as well as the state court websites to search for the criminal records for the individual's who have access to your property. It is too late for me hopefully this helps someone avoid what I am going through.

On November 13th I contacted Clardon Swimming Pool Service to inquire about the closing of an…read moreinground pool and explained that the pool closing was delayed due to me selling my home and a pool inspection that needed to be completed. It was just beyond the normal pool closing season and I was having difficulty finding a company that would close the pool. I guess the man I spoke with knew that because he quoted me double the price than any other company quoted and even though the home was up the block from their business, they added an extra gas fee. After asking what the deposit would be, they insisted I pay in full upfront stating that they could not trust that people pay the balance even though I explained that I was a businesswoman myself and if I paid the entire $650 up front what guarantee would I have that they would even show up? (yes, that's right...$650 when normal pool closing fee is $300-$350). The man was not nice and basically said this is the fees if I want the service. I WOULD NOT recommend Clardon Pools but instead give Cypress Pools & Spas a call. Cypress was wonderful, very pleasant, half the price, very accommodating in my schedule plus did not require any money up front, no deposit needed; a very trusting and honest company to work with!
