I talked on the phone with them for about 15 minutes, yet they were not able to resolve the problem, and they said I could call my insurance company. How am I supposed to do this an hour before my appointment? Obviously, a little heated, I said this was ridiculous. They admitted it was their fault, but they said there was nothing they could do about it. Had they called a week ago, I would have gladly located the information for them, and there would have been no issue. But now there's certainly nothing I can do about it either - except to not return to the office and write this review. My recent experience on April 11th was excellent. I have a chronic health condition which can affect eye health in a serious manner, and I was very concerned when I arrived. I have had very professional and specialized eye exams from Dr. Leon for many years who has now retired. I was subsequently served by Dr. Williams who was a very kind, detailed and brilliant physician. My new provider is Dr. Dimmick, who is very kind, experienced and professional. He "heard" all of my concerns , was an excellent listener, and offered very professional guidance and follow up. In the past , we have been served by Mike the optician who has a wealth of experience, and can fix any eyeglass issue. On this recent visit, I especially want to thank Rebecca the initial technician, and Derrick , optician, for their kind, detailed and very helpful expertise. Rebecca is thorough, and the visit was made so much easier by her care. Derrick is patient, and spent a great deal of time with my optical needs, and in assisting with possible new glasses. The vision was fine after with the lens prescribed but within 3, 4 months noted a bit more straining to see signs clearly . I went back hoping to get the follow up appt . Not sure but thought 1 follow up was included with the exam .I went back on the 30th of June but Doc not available. Scheduled today the 2nd of July and was told that they would charge a whole new exam . Needless to say I was appalled by the option given to me . HMO requires every 2 years and current prescription was good for 6 more months . This practitioner is only in it for the money , I will be taking my business to JCP optical on New Haven .
