From the beginning, Eric and Cole were very responsive & helpful in assisting us with material and color selections and suggested products with superior quality & durability while staying within our budget. After months of shopping around, we decided to have David's team install LVP, carpet and handle all our millwork and casings which included complicated compound angles on our staircase. Their workmanship and attention to detail was very professional and more than met our picky expectations. The old-school honesty and integrity of everyone on David's team was truly refreshing. Eric managed our project and kept it on-time and on-budget. His attention to communication was impressive & timely even at 10pm at night and on weekends. We requested a few change orders along the way and they were charged at straight time and materials without the extra mark-ups most contractors tack on. Adrian was our onsite supervisor and was there every minute of every day. The flooring lead, Sergey and the carpet lead, Hector kept me informed and made suggestions that improved our end result. Over the last 42 years our family has built a number of custom homes and the experience with David's flooring was by far the best and was actually enjoyable. When a supplier mistake from Shaw Floors delayed materials and forced my family into a longer Airbnb stay, Vitaliy stepped up and helped cover the ~$1,500 extra cost. That meant a lot to us. As a customer, I believe it is completely normal to ask detailed questions before hiring a contractor, especially for a home project involving cost, materials, and installation details. The lack of clear answers and the tone of the response made me lose confidence in moving forward with this company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you expect clear communication and respectful customer service.

Cuong is the best, seriously: very reasonable pricing, extremely hard-working, honest, dependable, fair - I didn't realize contractors like this exist. I almost made a huge mistake and passed on Cuong originally because it didn't seem like he could deliver on what he quoted (he was so much more reasonable than other contractors), and he is very unassuming: quiet, no pressure, fast and easy - - so I thought there must be something off. Man, am I glad that about a year later when we circled back on our ADU remodel, Cuong was still willing to work with us (even when other contractors we originally consulted with bailed, or didn't even have the courtesy to respond). Again, he was so nonchalant about his ability to do the work that I had my doubts, but he immediately proved us wrong - to say the least. Cuong got to work right away. In the space of just a couple months he transformed our ADU from a dated and ugly, unusable space, into an amazing little home, which we furnished and rent now. I was (and am) incredibly impressed by Cuong. He is not someone you need to press to do the right thing. He is independently motivated to do the job the right way, and to work efficiently. He would ask to work weekends just to stay on schedule; he would pick up materials for us; and he was flexible and available when we needed him. *Note that the only thing he doesn't really do is design. He will consult on small things, like where to put outlets, or how a door should open, but I would not expect him to design and build. Provided you have your design and vision though, the man can execute. It is a pleasure to write this review and to share our experience, and I think our results speak for themselves (which I've posted before and after photos of). I wish Cuong and NCC all the best; although I'm sure we'll be seeing them soon on some of our many projects :)

TASK: Remove existing backsplash and countertop and install a new backsplash and countertop…read more PROBLEM 1: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE COUNTERTOPS. Nothing was covered. All contents of the drawers were contaminated by demolition materials. In addition, during the demolition, the underlayment of the countertops was damaged. As stated in the contract, this was not to be addressed by Granite and Marble Specialists (GMS). Once the island countertop was removed, you could see that a heavy layer of glue remained on the underlay. The installers said that that was not their responsibility. They installed the countertop over the uneven underlayment of the residual glue. This meant that there were up to 1/2 inch gaps between the counter and the underlayment, stretching a span of 108.5 inches. Over time, this will lead to instability and breakage of the stone. The installers forged ahead and installed the new countertop independent of the gaps. The installers were adamant that they had installed the island countertop to level. RESULT: We had to remove the new countertop and have the surface sanded to level before having them reinstall the countertop. PROBLEM 2: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE BLACKSPLASH AFTER DEMOLITION. This meant that it was the homeowner's responsibility to install drywall and to make sure that the backsplash was level. The backsplash was 1.5 inches unlevel from one end of the backsplash to the other. Thus, in addition to the provision of drywall because the existing drywall was damaged during demolition, we had to shim the drywall to ensure the backsplash was level for the backsplash installation. RESULT: We had to go buy wood, cut it to the specific dimensions and install the new underlayment for the backsplash. IN SUM: GMS provided what the contract stated, an installed countertop and backsplash. It was not stated in the contract that it be level or that it be level to the degree that it was level prior to the new installation. The installers showed it to be level because the countertop was 108.5 inches long X 46 inches wide X 3cm deep. So, BEWARE. If this is the type of installation you are looking for, this is the organization for you.

He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The overall work was good but if I had to nitpick they could've done a more thorough job on the harder to see areas such as the kitchen baseboards and the window tracks (closed position) and the dusting of the blinds. Upon giving feedback, the impressively hands-on owner, offered to send a cleaning professional over to rectify the overlooked areas and offered his sincere apologies. Sadly, in the rush of moving out didn't get photos of what they did well. Would still hire them again but would just pay closer attention to the completed job. First off, My dog totally trashed my apartment with her stinky pee. I have had another company clean it, but was dissatisfied, So I had Empire clean the next two times, they did a good job. Then we had it done two weeks ago. A tech named Dale contacted us 2hrs prior to arrival to see if he could show up early, but my wife was not ready so he waited. Then when he got here he communicated the plan with my wife and was very willing to do what she requested. He then did the work while my wife ran some errands. She was a few minutes late getting back, but Dale waited because he wanted to make sure she was satisfied with his work. The carpet was freshly cleaned and look very nice. But as we knew we would not know the true results until it was completely dry and we had a few days to walk on it. Here we are two weeks later, and our carpets not only look great, they almost look new and we cannot smell any dog pee. At all. Dale did such a good job and put in so much effort that our home feels new to us. It actually inspired us to re decorate because it looks so nice. I would totally recommend this company. The two other experiences were real good and this last one with Dale was perfect. And for all three the price never breached $150.00. You will not go wrong if you trust these guys to do this work for you. AND if you want a total professional who takes pride in a job done better then its best, ask for Dale. I have never been so disappointed in such a large company. They came & cleaned the carpets, did sanitizing treatment to get rid of dog odor on 1.5 yr old carpet & nothing changed. Their customer guarantee "doesn't imply anything other than covering returning stains". I was told that they could come back and charge me $50 to $150 to come back and add more sanitizer to try and get rid of the smell but if that didn't work then I would have to replace the carpet pad, sanitize my floor, and then put the carpet back...... I'm not lying $100 per sqft for them to clean my carpet. Not satisfied in their half ass guarantee. Not worth the paper they wrote it on. read more

I have used Empire Chem-Dry for years, and highly recommend their services. I ask for Mike or Cole, who have both done excellent work for me over the years. I've never been disappointed by the outcome! Being able to essentially replace all the furniture in far less time than traditional 'water' methods make sit that much better!! The fact that the carpet and carpet pad aren't saturated means I won't have any stains 'pop back up' in the next week or so, as is the case with steam cleaning. Professional, Courteous, Prompt, Effective, Reasonably Priced - what more can a homeowner ask for? read more

This is my first time using empire Chem dry Bellevue. I spoke with Brent on the phone and he was able to arrange people to come over the next day. The crews (Cole and another guy) arrived on time and they are very professional. My family were out of town so we were not present. However, I was informed of every step. They took the time to clean and we are very happy with the result. Our carpet looks very clean. They even left a carpet cleaner for us on the table as a small gesture. These guys are prompt, efficient and very pleasant with whom to work! The first time I called them they came out same day because I had a dog feces accident that needed to be cleaned up right away. They were able to get the stains out much to my surprise and happiness as the carpet was only 3 months old! He got out several "tar" type spots that I had tried to get out without success. Since he was here he cleaned two bedrooms and did it quickly. They do NOT bait and switch. This is my first time using Chem-Dry and I will definitely recommend the service. Mike was our technician and was friendly and professional. I used the Val-Pak coupon and did pay extra, but that was because I requested extra service to include stairs. There was no hard sell to push the extra service. The cleaning part itself would be 4 stars. Maria charged me an amount flagrantly higher than the estimate. She came over, looked at the unit, and quote me a range based on an hourly rate ($240-$300). When I called her to confirm the total after the cleaners were done (they didn't know how much I was supposed to pay), she said the total was $500, because she had sent 2 people and the hourly rate was per person. Because of the "confusion," she reduced it to $400. She didn't tell me beforehand that the hourly cost was per cleaner nor did she tell me that the she was sending two cleaners, thus rendering the estimate useless. It was also a huge pain scheduling with her. Her staff were not very responsive nor did they follow up as promised for scheduling after the estimate, compromising the availability of my appointment. The cleaners themselves, Kay and Nadiya, did an awesome job. They were on time and did the job in the time expected. The unit was cleaner than when I moved in. The only annoying thing was the cleaners using my knife to clean the oven and sticking it in the dish rack without care. If it weren't for the issue with the cost and scheduling, I would be glad to use this company again. The results were excellent! As it stands, their business practices are inconsistent for the consumer and I don't think I'll be calling again.

What a disappointing waste of money. - They completely forgot the downstairs bathroom - The kitchen floors were mopped with dirty water and there was a thin, powdery film on the floors - I specifically asked to have the cob webs removed from the ceiling lights, this was not done - Master Bath shower floor was completely avoided and left untouched and cleaner was left on the glass shower door. - Household items were "dusted around" and not moved. - Many items were not cleaned and left dusty - I asked to have the blinds cleaned and many rooms were left dirty I have since hired Rain City Maids that will come regularly and not only did they provide a checklist for every room they cleaned, but they did a superb job. I will be using RCM on a regular basis, and I will never use this company again. =:0(

Donn took moisture readings and found that there was so little moisture that we didn't need a claim to our insurance company. That was good news as this was a brand new bathroom (4 years ago). I was very concerned that I couldn't dry the cabinet quickly enough to avoid moisture causing a future mold problem. He said that the fan that we already had setup blowing air into the sink cabinet would be adequate. While our flood didn't result in any demo and/or construction work, I was so impressed with how professional their response to my problem. I know a fast response to flood issues is a very important thing to minimize damage. So, for this part, this company has that together and so professional. Thank you 911 Restoration!

Donn from 911 Restoration in Bellevue managed the entire project for us, including dealing with the insurance company. Because our floors had to be refinished, we had to move everything out of our main floor and be out of the house for several weeks. Donn coordinated all of the work (movers, floor refinishers, wall and ceiling repairs, painting, cleanup, etc.), made sure it all got done on time, and came in on budget. Our only issue was the time it took to get some of the final painting finished, which was delayed due to the shortage of good painters. We appreciate the great job that Donn and 911 did to manage our project, and would recommend them without reservation.

I hired another business to do address the plumbing repair itself, and was referred to Collett Construction for the damage remediation, which included water damage around the kitchen sink, cabinets, and flooring. Cameron, Tony, and Robbie did an amazing job with the project and they were wonderful to have in my home while they were there. They were kind, courteous, and professional, and I was kept informed throughout the project about what to expect. Cameron was very transparent and honest up front by letting me know up what parts of the job might include unknown costs, which was helpful for budgeting and expectations (they also offered financing through GreenSky which was helpful, and something I've used on other emergency projects on my property). The work involved removing my kitchen cabinets, sink, and granite countertops to remediate the water damage behind (drywall, parts of the cabinet structure, etc). They did great work and helped improve a few things while they were in there that had been an unknown problem for years apparently (faulty wiring with a hacky and dangerous fix apparently from previous owners, updates to eroded copper piping, and upgrades to aging water shut off valves). They also addressed an issue with my kitchen ceiling from a leaky bathroom upstairs while they were there, which I was super grateful for. Definitely would hire again and recommend to anyone looking to hire them!

He explained things to me like a normal person, because hey, I'm not a plumber. Setting up scheduling to get the re-pipe done was smooth from talking to the Colletts. Moving on to the day the job started... cue Nick the Plumber. Nick became the person of my dog's adoration, who cares that I feed him. He was thorough in explaining the plans for each day, communicating changes as they arose, cleaned up each day, and ensure my dog wasn't ignored and got all the pets he needed. The permits were handled and the inspection was flawless. The only hiccup was when it came to the Sheetrock/drywall to close up my walls with another company. I expressed my concerns and issues I was having with the Collett team and they addressed the issues right away. Nick came out to check things, redo some work, and Cameron stopped in after the job was done. Having such a large job done on your home is costly and stressful from any company. However Collett Construction made sure they were there, communicated, and helped alleviate any stress when possible. I will definitely use them in the future for additional projects.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong!…read more Ricky first of all has great people skills. I thought he was a nice guy and I wanted to give him a shot. Except when it came to having patience with me choosing my windows. Isn't that what they specialize in? I could easily set that a side, because sometimes it does take me a while to choose what I want. I really tired to give him the benefit of the doubt. So, I finally decided what windows I wanted, and he ordered them. After installing them, he ordered the wrong window. This was never fixed. We went round and round about the size and he ordered the shorter one. I have it in an email, his attention to detail isn't that great. Ok, small mistake right? But it didn't end there. He brings in young guys to install the windows and cuts everything short as they build the window frames. He rigs it. His job looked incredibly sloppy. The walls aren't load bearing, it will be hidden, so it should be fine. I'll let it go. He continues to make mistake after mistake. He cuts one of my gutters, he uses longer nails than he should have, he forgets to insulate a window, he caulks around the window leaving huge lumps and a mess. But, now a 2 day job turns into a week, and I'm not sure when the job will be done. He shows up late and then leaves early. He ends up cutting boards short, and borrowing our boards, tools, paper towels, etc. At the end he was suppose to clean up, and he left his trash in my concrete dumpster. I txt him, and he starts to argue with me. Apparently his co-worker left it in the dumpster. He tells me that he'll send a gift card to make up for the mistakes, and never does. Every little thing that could go wrong went wrong. Basically, his attention to detail is poor, his excuse after his excuse was hard to communicate with him, he wasn't reliable, he could talk the talk, but when it came to doing that work, he just couldn't do it. I would spend the money and use another company that is more reliable. Please see photos for caulking, and gaps on the boards.
