Dropped by for some early evening cocktails after exploring the quarter. This place is elegant and beautiful. The cocktail list is concise, but offers plenty of variety. The bartender was on top of his game. Worth stopping by to sip on a cocktail and enjoy the beautiful space.

I do love the fancy decor of this bar...attached to Broussards Restaurant. You feel very swanky have a drink and visiting with friends. Before the opera the other night, I stopped in for a beverage and snack. Their HH bites are $5 each and are very tasty. I had the fries and the shrimp remoulade, 2 shrimps with a bit of salad, which were perfect. I probably could have eaten a 1/2 dozen more of these. But the fries were plentiful and filled me up. I had a lovely sparkling rose for $7 HH price. BEST of all was the friendly staff. I had recently been to another fancy FQ bar, attached to a restaurant and could barely get the attention of the staff. So that I ended up chatting with the workers about the weather, the opera, what their other jobs were... you know the usual, was great.

Delicious bee's knees' and sazeracs here! Rachel and Stephan have really delivered a great cocktail experience. The ambience of the space, the high level of service and beverage knowledge were outstanding. We are looking forward to returning here and to Broussard's

Hidden gem of the French Quarter!!! Arnauds French 75, Latitude 29, Carousel Bar... all your premier locations n the quarter if you're not looking for "red, blue or purple drink!" Ordered a French 76, which is the classic French 75 but with Ketel One instead of gin. Definitely a must during happy hour when it's only $5!

This is seriously a hidden gem! One of the longest HH is the city from 4-7 M-F and 2:30-7 SS! How can you go wrong when you are in the French quarter and need a snack?! The Cajun sliders are amazing, we also tried the crab and corn fritters-yum and the pommes daulphine (cheese smothered fries). Sadly the fancy cocktails are not on special, but wine, beer and basic drinks are $5. Honestly, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is classy and vintage and the bar is next to the courtyard so it's airy and light. I will definitely be back.

Hump day happy heure at Empire Bar. I had a very tasty Pina Colada ....but I don't suggest watching them make it. Coconut oozing out of a can isn't the prettiest picture in the world. Abs had some white wine that made her feel tipsy after the first taste (welcome to the SEC!). We had the Imperial Nuts for an appetizer. They're much better than the Royal Nuts! The serving size is enough for three in my opinion. Some were sweet and some were salty, it went well with my Pina Colada I recommend the combination. But only if you love pina coladas. This place is pretty quiet, definitely bring your inside voices when you arrive. Dress code is very casual though- the bathrooms are a bit dark, kinda creepy but... The courtyard is really big- I like it a lot. You can reserve the space for parties, etc etc

Been to the Empire Bar many times since Broussard's reopened after renovations and have always enjoyed. Now they have a happy hour with a selection of mussels, frog legs, rabbit, and other great things. Happy hour starts at 4pm, friendly staff Paul and Sean are the bartenders and always do a great job. Great setting looking out on a fantastic patio the best in the Quarter.

The ambiance is lovely, and sitting out on their patio made for the perfect, relaxed New Orleans evening. The highlight of our round of drinks was definitely the Righteous Harlot cocktail. It comes in a beautiful flute and is a stunning bright pink color, mixed with vodka, dragon fruit cordial, St. Germain, and sparkling wine. It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. We ordered a few different small plates to share around the table. The Scotch Egg was spectacular--perfectly crispy and savory on the outside with a gorgeous, rich jammy yolk inside, served right alongside house-made piccalilli relish. We also tried the Zucchini and Horseradish plate, which was incredibly unique and flavorful. It features a perfectly charred zucchini base loaded with a zesty horseradish cream and topped with beautifully shingles of crisp, fresh zucchini slices. While I didn't get a chance to snap photos of everything else we ate, every single bite was inventive, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and the bartenders really know their craft. We highly recommend dropping in for a sophisticated drink and a few excellent bites!

Sitting for 2 hours watching the regular turnover of the precious seats at the Carousel is still big fun. And having a friendly chat with the constant turnover of strangers sitting next to us is part of the unique charm of the Carousel Bar. As we were leaving Corey the bartender let us know management is shutting down next month for a few weeks for much needed repairs & renovations so the Carousel can add another 50-60 years to its legacy.

The cocktail list looked interesting, but the two we had tasted pretty standard, inline with what you'd expect from a hotel bar (it is inside Hotel Monteleone). There is a small bar bites menu - the Cubano was tasty but a bit overpriced at $18. The service was okay. We ended up getting water from our server that brought us food as the bartenders were too busy making cocktails. There was a jazz band playing on Thursday night when we visited.
