Bailey is one of the bartenders who work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights

First off...go see Bailey on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night. She usually gets there around 8pm Her energy is unmatched. She's such a funny gal who really loves people and making drinks. So if you're bored go get you a shot of Bailey at RHB because it's definitely an experience that will have you laughing and smiling!

There are so many hotels just off Canal and everyone is focused on the French Quarter and walks past some decent places on the way. This is one of those places. It's in an older building has pools tables and a nice atmosphere without the crazy crowds. My friends and I enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. We left more tipsy than we arrived ...

Love Bailey and all the patrons. What a wonderful place to meet locals, tourists and be yourself while ballin on a budget in a real place. Cozy, not pretentious and just the right selection. Glad we found this gem while looking for a place to finish watching Sunday night football!

Four stars simply because I've only had the opportunity to stop in twice during my recent visit to the city, honestly a strong lean to a 5-star. My first visit was on our first night in NOLA; having wandered for a bit we stumbled upon this interesting open-front spot with a nice jazz trio playing out front. Second time was, interestingly, on our last night. A nice bookend to our experience. The bar is intimate and pretty cozy. While we listened to the music I enjoyed what turned out to be 2 powerful Margaritas that, even accounting for a long day of travel and little food, put a good sized smile on my face. Made with a base of 1800 tequila this is a delicious concoction served up in a large-ish clear solo type cup. Take 'em slowly. It was, quite frankly, probably the best-tasting margarita I had while in town. Getting back to the spot: it's dark and homey - the kind of place you could see becoming a regular at. The two young ladies bartending on each separate night we visited were friendly and easy-going. Out front of the open facade sits a nice old 40's style car (Packard, maybe?). Imagine a gangster-ish rig. Adds a bit of charm to the ambience of the Bar. Overall, I'll say that I wish I'd spent more time here. The Roosevelt Hotel Bar is the kind of place you can just kick back, enjoy some refreshment and the atmosphere of a gritty, charming city full of character. Make a point of stopping by when visiting New Orleans.

Go here. Drink and laugh, write and rap, cajole the camarilla into camisade, and whisper into the night.

Any place that offers $1 drink specials in the CBD is going to get a good review from me! Friendly crowd and nice atmosphere. Heather makes great drinks and makes great conversation, just don't ask her to make you a Sazerac ;) There's a couple of flat screen TVs, table seating, and clean bathrooms. No music other than what's coming from the TV, though I've been told they're going to install a jukebox. Be advised, though the name is the "Roosevelt Hotel Bar" the bar is actually located outside of the hotel. The one inside the hotel is called The Sazerac. The RHB is a good option for your "pregaming" spot if you're meeing people at the Sazerac.

My daughter is a huge fan of chicken wings--like, she wants to eat them every day --so she was beyond excited when we walked in. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks--me, a much-needed beer, and my daughter, a soda. For food, we went with the lemon pepper wings, nachos, and onion rings. Let me tell you... these wings were . Some of the best I've ever had! Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside . I honestly wish we had a place like this back home in Cali. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and super helpful, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to next time! Highly recommend for wing lovers.

When we walked in the hostess hardly acknowledged us. I asked if we could sit at the bar and she said yes so we walked over. The bar was full so we went back and asked if we could do a table instead. She laughed in our face and looked at us like we were crazy or inconveniencing her. And she was lounging on the bench on her phone, not even behind the counter to greet guests. There were tons of empty tables that hadn't even been cleaned off yet so we just sat at the cleanest one that at least didn't have dishes on it. It took FOREVER for a waitress to even come to us and take our order. After we placed our orders I think our waitress sensed that we were not having a good time so she apologized for the wait and was very kind and pleasant compared to the hostess. I wanted to try the pepper jack boudin egg-rolls. My boyfriend got the fried local shrimp. I did not like the boudin egg-roll. It was fried very hard and I wasn't the biggest fan of the boudin sausage but I wanted to try it because I never had it. You win some you some. I just ended up eating my boyfriend's shrimp because it had taken so long to get our food that the kitchen was basically getting ready to close so I didn't order anything else. Soooo yea. Not my go to choice for a bar. They did have these cool movie theatre style lounge chair in front of the big screen though so that was cool.

This will sound weird to say: Walk-On's isn't good, which made it great. Here's what I mean. But if you wanna grub and watch a game? I would come to Walk-On's every week if it was near my house. Lots of TVs. Food comes out of the kitchen fast. The mozzarella "logs" are magnificent, and absolutely terrible for you...but not any worse than the doughnut bread pudding, built on actual Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which almost left me with a heart attack. The waffle fries were great every night. (The burger? Not as great.) The prices for a bourbon "double" pour are very fair, much more so than the prices in other cities I hit on a regular basis. The wings, I am told, are solid. There is a general sense that everyone on staff is hustling, based on my three visits there this week, even when the space wasn't that crowded. I will be back for future Jazzfests!

The sauce was subtle while allowing all of the Creole spices to shine through. I was unsure of why there was a piece of ham on it, but it brought a really tasty smokiness. I could have actually had several other pieces of it on there!
