I LOVE Chinese food' I love real Chinese food and I love Americanized Chinese food! I have been a delivery person for 2 Chinese restaurants in Toms River and I have delivered for DoorDash. Based on only the two dishes I had delivered to me at work in Tinton Falls, this place is subpar. Dim Sum pretty much means appetizer or small plate but when its a menu item its a steamed meat pocket thing that can be super tasty depending on the ingredients and the sauce, these were 7 out of 10. I like getting the Pu Pu platter because I get to try a bunch of apps at once. I'd rate the ribs and the chicken skewers 7 out of 10, I expected fantail shrimp and got fried shrimp which I dont really like nor do I like spring rolls. I'd rate the cheese wontons a 2 and the shrimp toast a 4. I could have sworn I read a list of what was in the Pu Pu Platter somewhere but now I cant find it - thats what led me to believe I was getting famtail shrimp and egg rolls. I cannot confidently tell you to not bother eating here without trying a few more dishes but I will definitely be trying other places nearby before i bother giving this one another chance. read more

I had read the reviews and most of them were bad for this place. But i figured how can they mess up a quart pork fired rice, its a Chinese food staple. Well let me tell you for $12.75 I was served what seemed to be a yellow Spanish rice (broken rice not ever a full rice gain) with maybe 1 oz of pork bits, less 1 oz of chopped onion and less then 1 oz of bean sprouts. So in reality I was sold/served YELLOW SPANISH rice. Very poor tasteing too. Oh well. I had to choose a star rating but -3stars yes that is minus 3, is what Emperor Wok should have gotten! read more

I was waiting for my husband who was at his retinologist's office two doors down from this hole-in-the-wall take-out only restaurant so I decided to give it a try. The shrimp toast had apparently been in their freezer for many, many months because it tasted old and oil-soaked. It was also sadly overfried and hard as a rock. The pork lo mein was very bland and reeked and tasted of dirty and burnt oil and the pork itself also appeared to be days old (dry and tasteless). With so many really good Chinese restaurants in the surrounding areas, I can't understand how this place remains in business. I know they will NEVER see me again! read more

Placed an order on Grubhub and after 45 minutes my order was cancelled without explanation. This was my first attempt trying this place and it will surely be my last. I'm absolutely starving now and will have to likely wait at least another 45 minutes for another establishment. Avoid at all costs. read more

I've been ordering thru DoorDash from this restaurant and I've never had an issue. the food is always good, hot and exactly what I ordered.

Overpriced for small portions - other Chinese food places in the area offer bigger portions for less money.

The General Tso tofu was among the best I've had. Very big pieces, very big, and not the soft pieces that break apart by looking at them. The Lo Mein noodles were alright but nothing to write home about. read more

Pretty decent. Fair price for NJ. Kung pao wasn't as spicy as I like, I had even asked for extra spicy. Peanuts were also stale. All in all pretty standard fast food Chinese, I would go back in a pinch. read more

I'm very upset. My family and I place very large orders here very frequently but EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. we order from them they mess up our order they forget to send items they send the wrong items. They even send us the wrong order completely. Ordered tonight during a snow storm (went to pick it up ourselves) got there they had no idea which order was ours. We got home and we were missing items so we called and they refused to deliver it they said they would deliver tomorrow (what help is that??) and then they completely undercooked my sons sweet and sour chicken nuggets. I would give zero stars if I could have. The food was mediocre at best. Too saturated of an egg roll, okay beef and broccoli and a stingy supply of duck sauce as an accompaniment. This was my go to cheap Chinese takeout place - I ordered from them almost every week. Some of their dishes are pretty decent - like their chicken chow fun and their steamed tofu. They're super fast as well. Just dont expect good customer service - on my most recent order the tofu was sour (was bad). I don't normally complain but my kids were hungry (they're pretty picky and tofu is one of the few things they eat) so I called them to see if they could make me another order and replace it. I could hear the old man (maybe the owner) yelling in the background and all I got out of the girl who picked up the phone was "sorry we bought the tofu yesterday we can't replace it". I don't know what I expected from a place like this - I might take a break from here and try the other Chinese place panda house that's close by as well read more

I had ordered my food from Grubhub. It said it was arriving at 7:30 I ordered around 6:50 so 40 minute wait which is normal. I later see it is 7:30 no call I check and keep calling the number the guy has a attitude saying the food is coming in 5 minutes. 5 minutes pass and no food. Now I keep waiting till 8:30 I have no food I call the guy starts calling me a liar and tells me it is there I check around no food I check front and back no food. At 8:50 we call again the guy is being rude. I later find out the food just arrived at 8:50 when I ordered at 6:50. The delivery person gives no call and just drop leaves the food. If you want the food delivered make sure you order 2 hours before you want it. Worst service I have ever had. read more

We were loyal customers to this Chinese restaurant for the past four years cause my fiancé just order from them until tonight I call and place and order of pepper steak combo and because other times I have order this and they put just like two pieces of steak and the rest is peppers so I ask them to please put more steak than peppers in my orders regarlees if I have to pay an extra dollars amount the guy just say to me if you want more steak you have to pay extra money , and I am not delivering tonight to you we are to busy hello what kind of customer services is this and we are loyal customer to his business until tonight , I was going to pay was not for free .
