Visited Emmy Squared Pizza and enjoyed the whole experience! The pizzas have that deep-dish pan crispy crust on all the edges with flavor stacked on flavor. There are so many great options that you will want to go with friends and have a pizza tasting gathering. The Midtown location is great to stop in, grab a drink, order a pizza, and unwind. They have an awesome bar space and table seating that can accommodate any party size. The service staff was spectacular and offered recommendations for drinks and their favorite pizza choices.

I was visiting GA for the weekend and this spot was one of the recommended places to eat at. I'm definitely glad I made that decision! We came on a Friday afternoon and the restaurant was completely empty, so we were greeted right away. Our server was personable and friendly. However I was disappointed by the fact that there were crumbs on our table and when one of our plates was dirty. Our server mentioned the night staff did not do a great job of cleaning, and that doesn't usually happen. The food was great! I wished there was more pesto on the cheesy sticks. The red sauce that it's paired with (which is essentially the same sauce as the pizza sauce) is delicious! I could eat a bowl of that on its own. You could def taste the freshness. The pizza was very tasty, the edges had the perfect crunch. I also paired it with their miso ranch and that sauce is a MUST! I washed it down with one of my favorites, ginger beer, we added a lime to it & that took it to the next level. I look forward to trying their other pizzas when I do visit ATL again.

If it weren't for Tommy, I probably wouldn't have discovered Emmy Squared in West Midtown and I'm glad I did. Tommy has built a strong reputation for taking care of his guests, and wherever he goes, people follow. He's attentive, welcoming, and makes sure everyone feels looked after. I make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in Atlanta and see him working. Emmy Squared offers a great variety of food and drinks. My personal favorites are the wedge bacon salad and their pizza, and the drink selection never disappoints. The atmosphere is relaxed the kind of place where you can walk in, unwind, meet people, and genuinely enjoy yourself. For context, I don't even live in Atlanta anymore, but Emmy Squared has become a regular stop whenever I'm back in town. That says a lot. Highly recommend checking it out especially if Tommy's behind the bar.

Easily in the top three delicious pizzas I've ever had in my life. The crust is soft and just melts in your mouth. The service was really friendly as well, and great location in the heart of midtown.

This is my favorite pizza place! The crust is always to crispy but pillowy soft! Service is always pleasant and fast. Each location I've been to has been clean and inviting. I love the variety of toppings they have to choose from. It's like having pizza on a delicious focaccia! I recommend this spot to all of my friends and out of town guests. An elevated pizza experience!

I've had Emmy Squared bookmarked for a while now. I finally got a chance to check them out for lunch. I was very surprised to see the restaurant practically empty on Saturday for lunch. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing. We started with a shareable cesaer salad ($12) add chicken for an additional $5. The salad was just okay, and was a little bit on the drier side so we requested more dressing. For pizza we ordered a regular size pineapple delight and regular pepperoni pizza. The pineapple pizza was pretty good. I enjoyed the crunchiness of the crust. The restaurant itself is nice, I like the open air of it, however the bathrooms could use some attention. I went into multiple bathrooms that had no soap in it. That makes me question the cleanliness.

Best Detroit style pizza I've had here in Atlanta. A lot of great pizzas on the menu to choose from. The Brussels salad was great too!

Emmy Squared is always a win! We tried the MVP and Margherita pizzas, and both were incredible -- the MVP was loaded with flavor and the Margherita had that perfect balance of fresh sauce, melty cheese, and a crisp crust. The Zia Fries were next-level with their seasoning and toppings (definitely not your average fries), and the cheesy garlic sticks were the ultimate comfort bite -- gooey, garlicky, and so satisfying. The vibe here is always fun, and the food is made for sharing (though it's hard not to keep it all to yourself ). Can't wait to come back and work through more of the menu!

We made our way through a stormy Atlanta night to Emmy Squared Pizza - West Midtown Atlanta (1009 Marietta Street NW). We had a good experience at our local Durham, NC Emmy Squared - so when we saw another one was around the corner from our hotel, we jumped on it. We started sharing a Caesar salad (chopped romaine, creamy anchovy dressing, crunchy sprizolina on top). For mains, I ordered the "Top Dawg," their meat lover's pie (layered with Italian sausage, ezzo pepperoni, a rich cheese blend, and pecorino) . It arrived with a side of house-made green ranch, something I'd never paired with pizza before, and it surprised me. The heat of the meats balanced and cooled with the ranch. Super tasty! Our server, Adam, made sure we had everything we needed without ever hovering. His attention, friendliness, and professionalism was top notch. The evening was really nice, and definitely worth us stepping out and bracing the weather for.

I can only give this Emmy Squared Pizza location in West Midtown three stars. The food and service weren't as good as what we experienced at two other Emmy Squared locations. I hate it because this is our neighborhood Emmy Squared and it was noticeably worse. To give you an idea, I rated both of the other locations five stars. Maybe we went to this one on a bad night. Emmy Squared is a national chain that specializes in Detroit-style pizza. To me, it doesn't feel like a chain, though, because the locations we've been to are in vintage, repurposed spaces - not in cookie-cutter strip malls - and each location's vibe feels hip and independent. Currently, there are two locations in Georgia. This location opened in January 2022 in the old Octane / Revelator Coffee space in West Midtown (Marietta Street Artery / Bellwood). Octane lasted almost 17 years in this spot (original location) and closed in September 2020. Emmy Squared's first Atlanta location opened on April 22, 2021 in the old Shed at Glenwood space in Glenwood Park. I love what the designers did to the old Octane space. The dining room is quite spacious. It's divided into halves with a bar on each side. Business was slow last night, so half the space was closed off. Outside, they have a string-lit patio out front and a small rooftop patio with a perch. There are retractable doors on the storefront side. One of them was pulled up last night, allowing for bar-height seating that faced both into the restaurant and out towards the neighborhood. Cool. Free parking is available in the surface lot out front, but there are only 10 spots. We lucked out and found open spots around 6:30pm. However, when we left around 9:10pm, the lot was full. As we left, I saw three cars waiting on spots to open. This was on an ordinary Tuesday night. If the lot is full, there are two paid parking options nearby: (1) the surface lot at 1040 Marietta St NW, which is part of the Brickworks development across the street and (2) the Brady apartment garage at 701 8th St NW. You can book reservations for Emmy Squared on OpenTable. When I booked, both this location and the Glenwood Park location did not offer points. Boo. Along with Detroit-style pizza, Emmy Squared serves a small variety of apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, cocktails, beer, and wine. When ordering pizza, I recommend ordering large for $5 more each. You won't regret it. The regular pizzas are 8x10 inches and cut into six slices. The large pizzas are 10x14 inches and cut into 10 slices. They are rectangular in shape and deep dish. The menu says the large-size pizzas are "75% larger" than the regular-size pizzas. Here's what our party of four ordered: Cocktails * The Prime Cut Martini ($15) - New Amsterdam Vodka, dry vermouth, olive brine, and blue cheese-stuffed olives Seasonal Cocktails * Emotional Damage ($15) - Lunazul Tequila Blanco, fresh lime juice, in-house tropical passionfruit syrup Sweet Auburn ($15) - Old Forester 100 bourbon, New Amsterdam Vodka, real peach puree, and fresh lemonade; shaken Mocktails * Lavender 75 ($11) - take on the French 75; lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, and club soda Shareable Plates and Salads * Jumbo Wings ($18) - 10 house-brined jumbo chicken wings with Sriracha "crystal" glaze with peanuts and cilantro * Brussels Sprout Salad x2 ($14 each) - shaved Brussels sprouts, house-pickled red onions, cashews, blue cheese, sweet dried cherries, and miso dressing Detroit-style Pizza * Colony (large, $25) - signature cheese blend, housemade red sauce, hand-sliced and house-pickled jalapenos, Ezzo pepperoni, honey; added Italian sausage $3 extra * VIP (regular, $24) - signature cheese blend, three housemade sauces (vodka, red, and parsley pesto), Ezzo pepperoni, Calabrian chilies, sesame seed crust * Good Paulie (large, $24) - signature cheese blend, caramelized onions, Italian sausage, freshly-shredded smoked Gouda When our pizzas came out, our server noticed our Colony looked wrong. He immediately took it back to the kitchen and had a new one made for us. My wife and I had all three of these same pizzas - Colony, VIP, Good Paulie - at a different Emmy Squared less than a year ago and, it pains me to say it, all three tasted worse here. Our server admitted the proof (rise) was off and our crusts were too thin. This was most apparent with our VIP which, in hindsight, I think we should've had remade or not be charged for. Not only was the dough undercooked, but the VIP was especially greasy and not cut properly. Also unfortunate -- the wings were unremarkable. Not bad, just not memorable. On the bright side, my wife really liked the Brussels Sprout Salad. We ordered two of them. The drinks were tasty as well and our server was nice, though perhaps stretched thin. The restaurant seemed kind of dead, which is the opposite of our past Emmy Squared experiences (nice and busy). Admittedly, those visits were on weekends. In summary, not all Emmy Squareds are created equal.

Some of the best pizza I've had in a while! They have their own parking lot as well which is a huge plus! Our server was very sweet & friendly. They have a lot of great sounding items so I'll definitely be back to try other things! Super yummy & flavorful! I never eat the crust of my pizza but this one was too good to pass up!

The pizza arrived with a noticeably burnt crust -- not the charred, Neapolitan-style char that some places intentionally aim for, but genuinely overcooked to the point where it affected the overall flavor and texture of the dish. What made the experience worse was the interaction with the owner. Rather than being met with hospitality, the exchange felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a dining establishment, the attitude of those running it matters just as much as the food itself.
