Emma, one of my favorite places when staying at the Gran Hotel Tijuana! The food is exquisite! The rub eye, cooked just as I love it. The ambiance is beautiful, calm, and the staff are an extremely welcoming and friendly. Their bar selection is great! I also recommend that you have their fries! One of the best garlic fries I've had! Definitely a must visit place!

Lechon (tasting menu portion)

Fantastic food and service. I highly recommend the 6 course tasting menu (which is really 7 courses with the amuse-bouches) which includes small portions of many of the regular menu items recommended here. Only downside is the music may be off putting to some, very clubby, didn't quite match the restaurants atmosphere but it didn't bother me.

New York steak and fettuccine. Delicious!

Excellent service and outstanding food. New York steak comes with a house sauce and it's out of this world. Would highly recommend.

So it started out a bit weird. Called to make a reservation for 530. Got there and the couldn't find it. But the guy remembered talking to me on the phone. (It was empty inside). We ordered drinks I got a Carajillo. The Waiter told me that was a after dinner drink. Who is he to tell me what I can order and at what time!! I told him I wanted to wake up. We ordered apps. Oysters, beef tartare, tuna and we started to order another one and he tells us it's a lot of food. HEY WE KNOW HOW TO ORDER!! And bone marrow.. Then got the duck. Food was amazing. STAFF SUCKED!!!!!! Not sure if I would go back

This little gem is inside The Grand Hotel in Tijuana and it's quickly become one of my favorite restaurants! The service is so impeccable it's basically indicative of days gone by because service this good doesn't exist anymore as far as I know. The ambiance of the dining room is classy, clean, comfortable, interesting and elegant. The noise levels are quiet and the temperature and music are perfect. Finally, the food is incredible! The French/Baja fusion can be a bit rich but the flavors are amazing, delicious, creative and always served piping hot or at the temperature it should be. It's obvious they use quality meats and ingredients and have created a simple yet complex and cohesive menu that I would order and try literally anything from. I would trust Emma to deliver a top notch experience for any special occasion and I recommend them 100%!

Wish I could give this restaurant six stars. Incredible dinner. Had the four course Emma set and it was one of the best meals I've had all year (maybe the best). The tuna was perfectly flavored, the risotto was packed with flavor and the chocolate lava had perfect flavor balance. Great service and beautiful design. Will be back!

Emma Baja French Restaurant is located deep in the bowels of the Grand Hotel de Tijuana, that monolithic 1970's twin tower building than can be seen from wherever you are in the city. The restaurant opened three weeks ago. One parks in the very dark underground garage, and walks to an elevator to take you one level up to the lobby and the restaurant. Parking is validated, but there is a twenty peso charge regardless. The wine list consists of a series of twelve or so stapled pages, and is extensive. However, they were out of the Chasselas del Mogor Badan I ordered. After some wait, the manager brought over six other whites and lined them up on my table, stating that was all they had [in whites]. I ordered the Monte Xanic Chardonnay. The service by Ulises ["Ulysses" in English], was certainly pleasant, but he needed more training, along with reminders to pour the wine. Alejandro had to come to the rescue to open the bottle. Midway through the meal, Ulises took an unannounced dinner break, so suddenly waiters I had not met were swarming around me. For dinner, I selected the Pescado "Globina", con uvas verdes, limon, almendras and a puree of calabazas. The portion was small, but the dish was generally flavorful. After dinner, as usual, there was the ritual of a Carajillo a la Mesa. The dining room décor is made up of luxurious forest green velvet semi-circular booths and banquettes, so the glamour quotient is high. Nonetheless, Emma Baja French is more of a hotel restaurant, meant to service the needs of hotel residents, and I am not sure I would make any great effort to visit in the future.

Nice upscale dining in the Grand Hotel off of the lobby. Service was great and the food good. The music didn't fit the ambiance and was a little loud and too much of a dance beat for the relaxing fine dining atmosphere they are trying to create. Large menu to choose from. We will return next time we stay at the hotel

I didn't like French Onion soup until I ate it here. The octopus was delicious too. The place is small so the service is good. It's located inside the hotel.

We came in very late because every restaurant we chose was "closing ". We were welcomed here and was quite surprised by the quality and flavors of the food. We had bone marrow, oysters, beet salad, and shrimp cevice to start. We shared lechon and molten lava cake. Excellent value. Excellent food and service

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is so special and even though it's fancy, which can be a lot for me, the taste was out of this world and it wasn't "too much". I highly recommend. The chef is young and clearly a rising star. Go see him while you can!

Is located in the Centro Culturel de Tijuana ["CECUT"] on Paseo de las Heroes and is part of the Grupo Plascencia family of restaurants, so you can be assured of a certain level of quality. It should be noted that the valet parking station is located directly on the Glorietta [Traffic Circle], so look for the orange cones to designate where to drive up. When I inquired as to the restaurant's entrance, the courteous valet me walked me from my car across the plaza to the restaurant's front door. I was acquainted with the manager at Cubo, who used to work at Caesar's on "Revo". I did not recognize any of the waiters from other restaurants, but nonetheless, Gerson took care of me nicely. It was a hot day, so I ordered a bottle of cool and crisp Monte Xanic "Vina Kristal" Sauvignon Blanc. Inexplicably, there was "Blue Nun" on the wine list---I have never seen that in Tijuana, or in San Diego for that matter. What's up with that? The dining room is of a modern design, with vast windows looking out onto the busy Glorietta, a terrace and a pretty interior lined on one side by a banquette of tufted caramel-colored vinyl. From the menu, I selected the Sardinera ["Grouper"], served atop a mushroom risotto, which I enjoyed. Although the restaurant was not crowded, the food took awhile to come out from the open kitchen, which did not bother me one whit, since I had the wine being continually poured by Gerson, and the WIFI worked perfectly, as it always does in Tijuana.

They were doing the Tuesday night date special, which includes one appetizer & entree each and a dessert & bottle of wine to share for $55/pp as of March 2026. I'm not familiar with the names of French dishes, so I'll write descriptions of the food instead. Appetizers: * mushroom ravioli * phyllo filled with cheese & salad Entrees: * braised short rib * stuffed chicken Dessert: * Cookie My favorite thing was actually the phyllo filled with cheese! It was really unique, and a good combination of savory/sweet, and the salad was a refreshing addition. I would honestly consider ordering a full portion of this to have as a meal. My husband loved his braised short ribs. It was so tender. The ambiance is lovely-- I dressed up a bit more than I normally would, and I didn't feel particularly overdressed or anything, but other people showed up in casual clothing too. Every detail of dinner was well thought out and service was amazing. We didn't feel rushed at all, so we were able to enjoy a slow-paced anniversary dinner. We would definitely come back to try their normal menu too!

For appetizers, we shared the charcuterie plate and the salmon gravlax. Neither disappointed, though we did need to ask for extra toasts. I ordered the pork chop with mustard sauce. The pork was very tender, though I was a bit disappointed with the sauce. Others gave their main courses high marks. We ordered the assortment of desserts, and all were fantastic. We did wines by the glass, and they were served in proper glassware and at the proper temperature. Service was friendly and professional. All told, a solid experience. Parking is difficult in this area so give some extra time to park.

Happy to report that I think I found my favorite burger of all time...at a French restaurant. Not only was this ginormous burger and portion of fries only $22, but it came with a delicious garlic ranch sauce that just set this meal over. The fries reminded me of McDonalds fries (meaning they were perfect). They were crispy, warm, and perfectly salty. The burger...HUGE. The bread was crispy on the inside but soft on the outside. The meat was juicy and flavorful, cheese melted, and the onion rings were crunchy. The combination of flavors just amazing. The place is pretty small in size. They have a cute small patio area up front that I could envision being a nice spot to be at night. The interior is cute. I enjoyed my view of the Eiffel Tower while I was eating. Took me back to my Paris trip from last summer hahaha. The owner was so nice and was a joyful guy. He gave me a Free Appetizer card for the next time I go. Despite not trying any authentic French food from Frenchy's, I will continue raving about this place for this specific burger.
