The owner of the business took my granddaughter's wedding gown on August 23rd to alter. She…read morepromised it would take 2 months, my granddaughter is a size 4, so there was little besides hemming and bustle to do. We had an appointment for Saturday November 15 and when we got there the door was locked but hanging in the window, in the sun, was my granddaughter's dress. We waited approximately 25 minutes for her to show up only to have her say "why are you here?" When my granddaughter reminded her of the appointment which was scheduled on the same day as a party for the couple that evening Jerusia said "Oh, now I remember". But she hadn't touched the gown !!!! What followed were a series of excuses culminating in total rudeness. When my granddaughter said "I have no confidence that you will get this altered before my wedding in January, I am taking it back" she replied "You'll never find anyone to do the work in such a short time!" The final horror was when my granddaughter asked for her $200.00 deposit back and Jerusia refused !!!! How can anyone stay in business like this? And how can anyone have confidence that leaving a garment with her is safe? All of the reviews here are at least three year's old, clearly she no longer cares about her reputation. DON'T GO THERE, SHE'S A LIAR AND A CHEAT. SHE ONLY ACCEPTS CASH AND WHO EVER HEARD OF A $200.00 DEPOSIT BEFORE ALTERATIONS ARE DONE......SHE HAD MY GRANDDAUGHTER'S VERY EXPENSIVE WEDDING GOWN.

I brought in three pairs of pants and a dress for alterations. Unfortunately, the experience was…read moreincredibly frustrating due to a significant language barrier. The tailor did not speak or understand basic English, which made it extremely difficult to explain what I wanted done. I resorted to pointing, demonstrating, and pinching the fabric to show her exactly where I wanted the garments taken in. She nodded along as if she understood, but the final results proved otherwise. I was charged $111, and I cannot wear a single item I brought in. Two pairs of jeans now have odd pleating around the waist that wasn't there before, and the dress, originally a loose, flowy Boho style, now has awkward bunches of fabric where it should have been taken in. I returned to try and show her what went wrong, but she pretended not to understand me at all and became visibly frustrated. Not only am I out over a hundred dollars, but I also lost clothing I loved. If a business owner cannot understand basic customer instructions due to a language barrier, it creates serious issues, especially for something as detail-specific as tailoring. I would not recommend this place unless clear communication is somehow guaranteed.

I was quoted $20 ( which I thought was a lot ) as I was told the hem was curved at the back. Fair enough. I gave them my card. It was swiped. I signed- STUPIDLY not checking the bill. ( I thought it was a genuine error.) I told them they had quoted me $20. They denied it- I was basically called a liar. Wow!!! Great relationship building for a first time customer! When I said I had learned a valuable lesson - definitely worth $20- and that I would NEVER return- they were quite complacent. Later the owner called and offered me $10 off the next time I came in. WOW! I'm sure their work is fine- but they clearly have no idea about customer service!!!
