Replying to "customer service" -- my feedback onsite was that it was indeed Mother's Day and you were short-staffed even though we all knew the holiday was coming. Some people were waiting an hour. That is why you prepare to not be short-staffed, I explained. Instead of saying "yes, thanks, apologies," I was sarcastically insulted by the manager likely responsible for cutting corners. To be clear, I gave respectful and constructive feedback to someone who seemed above it (but not above taking everyone's money). The insult to injury is your insinuation that I wasn't patient despite my clear explanation of what transpired, and no acknowledgment of your manager's shortfall. Just a backhanded assessment that proves, just like in the store, you're not listening to your customers. People, go elsewhere. Crave Creamery is in New Milford, locally-owned, well run, and just about 7 mins away from this disaster. Coldstone Creamery in Westwood is 5 mins the other direction and tasty, plus knows how to respect their customers time and money. read more

Paid $7.03 for a large soft serve ice cream cone with chocolate dip. Very disappointed. Was inside enjoying AC and they forced me to go outside to the window to order and wait in the 90 degree heat for the cone. Young staff chatting and took their time to serve me. Ordered a large cone and they gave me a medium, with such a thin coat of chocolate dip. Not worth the money..felt cheated. Go to King Cone in Pearl River. Cones twice the size with thick coat of chocolate dip. They know service and value matter today! read more

Under new management, this place has definitely improved. Despite the extra charge if you pay by credit card, we've had good service and treats. Recently, our town's Girl Scouts troop had an ice cream cake decorating class at Dairy Queen where they each had their own 8-inch to decorate and take home. The staff members who helped out did a great job. The room where the class was held was sizable and clean, as well as their bathrooms. Definitely a nice place to hold a private event like that or even a birthday party. read more

Ordered a medium $8 hot fudge sundae.. very disappointing!! Airy vanilla ice cream, little hot fudge, NO whipped cream, NO cherry!! Asked for wet walnuts and was told this DQ does not have any kind of walnuts!!! Next time, Ben and Jerry's!!! read more

I haven't been to a DQ in probably 20 years or more! Stopped in to get some tasty treats for the crew. Two young folks behind the counter taking orders and whipping up frozen concoctions and providing personable, pleasant, and efficient service. PROS: This place is a family ran Dairy Queen and has been since 1963. They have always been nice to my friends and I when we go. They take your order either inside or out and serve food, while other Dairy Queens don't sell food. Their parking lot is of normal size for an ice cream place as well. CONS: I don't recall them having a bathroom and you aren't able to sit inside because the room isn't big enough to support more than one tiny table. Outside there aren't that many places to sit down at so you either have to be lucky and grab a table or lean against the wall. OVERALL: This is our go-to Dairy Queen and will always be for as long as it lasts. I wouldn't chill there, however, for a quick pick up this place is always good. read more

Well gave you another chance and same crappy DQ, ice cream cone this weekend and the ice cream was not DQ quality ice cream it was airy and gross. Not creamy and thick like DQ should be. I just went to Emerson,NJ DQ and ordered a Soft ice cream, cone with vanilla & chocolate sprinkles little flavor, and very airy tasting The reason for of my 1 review it did not taste like DQ ice cream. A nice place to visit with your kids or grandkids. They have ice cream and my favorite ice cream cakes!! They had a surprise visit from Santa tonight and our grand daughter enjoyed herself with Santa and making necklaces...there were crafts for the kids. Nice touch to Santa's visit. Come to this place. We ordered an ice cream cake for our Christmas celebration. Unfortunately we were quickly reminded why we don't frequent this Dairy Queen, even though it is the closest to our home. The cake proved to be of poor quality, not nearly the same product that we get at other local Dairy Queens. I guess you learn from your mistakes. We will continue to avoid this Dairy Queen and enjoy the quality of other ones in our area. read more

It's Dairy Queen...I've been to dozens in different parts of the country and the ice cream is always the same...delicious and refreshing-especially on a hot day. It simply brings back memories. I love Blizzards..maybe it's cheesy to love Dairy Queen Blizzards, but I don't care...they're delicious. My daughter and I stopped here after buying a new softball bat at Closeoutbats in Westwood-she suckered me in...at least I let her THINK she suckered me in. The two young ladies working the counter were very helpful and full of smiles. Something I think is really cool about this location is they have a couple of displays that show Dairy Queen memorabilia through the years. Pretty neat to see some of the old cups and prizes. Anyway, the ice cream (I got a Chocolate X-treme and my daughter got the Oreo Cookie Blizzard) was a nice touch on a nice day with my daughter. The great service and the little memorabilia displays get this Dairy Queen an extra star. Great work ladies! read more

This Is the oldest and best Dairy Queen in New Jersey! Super nastaligic and great date place. The most beautiful decorative cakes ever. I avoid coming here at all costs. Which is sad because growing up, this was the place to come after every game or event. Came recently because we wanted Dairy Queen and didn't want to hike to another location. This location in particular is not like it used to be. Employees never crack a smile, there is a credit card minimum, signs are posted justifying or supporting why they do things. Getting ice cream is more than just eating ice cream. It's an experience and something to do. If the experience or vibe isn't enjoyable, the taste of the ice cream is not important.. read more

Cotton candy blizzard and mint chocolate blizzard were both amazing. Even after delivery, they could be flipped upside down!

We had a couple blizzards neither one was mixed both had everything on the bottom no quality control and very poor execution

Good DQ. The lines get crazy long, especially when it's a summer night. It's just annoying when you can clearly see that the three people who are working behind the counter are clearly not hustling to get the line out of here. They take there dandy time taking orders, making orders, & ringing people up. I understand that it may not be fun taking ice cream orders to a huge rush at 9pm at night but seriously do you have to move at snail speed? Other then that this DQ is decent...it's local enough that I go to it. I didn't hear good things about the owner but I can't comment on that because I have never met the owner. read more

Once again my husband went to this DQ even though we said we wouldn't. Should have driven by. Then charge a extra 70¢ order fee. He ordered 2 things 1 blizzard and 1 chocolate milkshake. The milkshake was like choc. milk. When my husband told the server he just added ice cream didn't blend it at all. So sad, never again we will go farther to Park Ridge or Northvale, worth the ride. They do not honor Dairy Queen standard on Blizzards, not free if you can't turn it upside down. Blizzards come soft, every other location the blizzard is thick. $10 minimum for a credit card and they show you a newspaper clipping showing its legal, thanks for the reminder that the owner is cheap. I've been to a lot of Dairy Queen's as soft serve is my weakness, (most of my weight gain is due to my insatiable soft serve appetite! But YOLO amirite?) The only thing consistent over the 8 years I've come here (out of convenience) is the miserable owner. Dq is always fun for the kids to meet, but you know you're going to be disappointed when you go. The kids working there are usually nice and are not the problem. Blizzards are never blended correctly, toppings on the bottom, and pure ice cream on top. They often choose not to carry items like big brownies for the royal treats, and choose to instead cheap out by topping treats with bagged brownie bites. If dq corporate ever inspected with a Secret shopper, this place would be in trouble. I will drive the extra distance to park ridge next time. read more

I was not aware but the icecream was made already so i asked if there was an exception? The older lady said no, $6 is to low... I have been coming here for years, it's a little farther than the one in New Milford or Rochelme Park for me, but kids always like(d) it. kids are 9 and 7 now, so old enough to start understanding that while we do OK in life, we aren't millionaires, and getting sales at ShopRite, being aware of not wasting $$, is smart, not cheap. we go/went here, once a week as a treat. I bout 3 items today for about $14.50 and was informed if I use my debit card, there would be a 70 or 75 cent charge...... really?! almost a dollar charge, on a purchase over $10? this is a new one, even for me. girl was seeet, (teenager), not her fault.... but I am NOT paying for the owners new cc machine so they can take Apple Pay etc..... don't pass it on to me. at least they told me first, but i hope that 75 cents was worth it, you just lost two future, lifelong customers of age 7 & 9..... bc even they smelled BS. it's more principal than anything.... I'm not getting nickel and dined for a nice nightly treat with kids..... it feels wrong. Oh well, it's ice cream. just another thing to cut out ...... hope that ROI plan works out though ;) read more
