I completed CPR training in February 2026 in Colorado and initially, the process itself was smooth…read more I can certainly acknowledge that. However, there were significant issues with the training setup that ultimately led to an injury. Due to the room configuration, I was unable to properly reach the mannequins and had to perform CPR on my tiptoes. The table was not adjustable, and no stool or accommodation was available. As a result of these poor ergonomics and lack of proper setup, I sustained a neck and trapezius injury mid-cycle. Ended up having to literally crawl on to the table . At the time, I reached out simply to provide feedback in hopes of preventing a similar experience for others especially individuals under 5 feet tall. The initial response I received was apologetic, and I appreciated that. However, after enduring five weeks of significant pain, I followed up to ask about the appropriate process before seeking medical care, as providers often ask for details about how an injury occurred. Unfortunately, the response I received at that point was defensive and dismissive, referencing a signed waiver rather than addressing the concern. The response was unfortunate. I fully understand that CPR training can be physically demanding. However, participants should be provided with a safe and properly adjusted environment to perform these skills. In this case, the setup did not allow for that and contributed directly to my injury. As a side note, I happened to have the session recorded (originally intended for social media), and it clearly shows the moment the injury occurred. Overall, I'm very disappointed in both the lack of appropriate setup and the company's response. I am still dealing with daily neck pain without resolution.

But the course presenter Anita, who was assisted by Jameston (apologies for probably getting the name wrong), were very welcoming and 10 minutes in I was already feeling comfortable enough to ask my "novice" questions. From the start Anita and her assistant were engaging and very professional. The class was thorough and interactive. The very hands on with the training mannequins and AED made me feel more at ease with learning the steps for BSL. The facility is super clean with 2 restrooms, located in a nice business park in Irvine near the Spectrum. Front desk and other staff in the halls were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be taking my renewal class with CPR Lady training facility. Great experience. Sorry, I don't have any pictures. I was too busy trying to focus on the class to do any selfies with the mannequins. Maybe next time! :)

Kristine is awesome, genuine, and great at what she does. (5 stars)…read more She instructed the class very well and took into consideration everyone's needs and comfort zones. I was there with one other person for the class. I had a great experience and I feel confident with the instruction I received. The training was concise (more than 2 hours I didn't really keep track of time), a lot shorter than what I heard about CPR classes (5 hours). We also connected on a deeper level because we shared stories about our medical past. We are all survivors of something. The class was started on time because she wanted to respect our effort of showing up on time on a Sunday. Much appreciated. Side note to you know who you are: Don't go complaining to the receptionist who pics up the phone that you arrived at 9:50 am for the 10 o' clock class and the place was locked and no one let you in. Yes it was locked but I was sitting outside on the bench and walked towards the building at 9:48, I was talking to another attendee for at least 5 min before we were let in. We didn't even start until 10:05 because Kristine was waiting for any "stragglers." You were not there at 9:50, unless you have the invisibility cloak and decided not to step in when the door was opened. Don't lie, own up to your .... No one respects people like you. Location was a little confusing (took class same day as review), however it does have a GIANT 1524 on it so you can't miss that. It is the Spectrum building with the Dental Laboratories on the front. And NO the reception desk is not associated with Safety First CPR. Unless you're the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, who doesn't have a brain, you can figure out that the building does not belong to them and they lease a room. I was texted the address by the receptionist and didn't receive any other correspondence. I was supposed to receive an invoice and notification but that never happened. So I decided what the heck and showed up anyways. Worked out in the end. (-1 star for the receptionist)

Obviously, instructor was knowledgeable and is up to date on changes with procedures. She covered a variety of situations and reminded me the need to put safety first, especially when taking trips and being more prepared to manage crisis at home. Kristine had a great way of engaging and sharing the necessary info that 3 hours went by quickly! She made uncomfy situations inclusive and respected comfort of each participant. Definitely expect to get a bit out of your comfort zone to really learn. There's plenty of hands on learning. Facility was clean & relaxing. Lots of attendees this day but it didn't feel crowded at all. Check out the line up to get a sense how large the class was and yet we still got individualized attention. Ample parking spaces. Bathroom was clean. Highly recommend everyone to take it, even if you don't need to be certified.

During the course, there were multiple last-minute changes, including in-person skills days being rescheduled the night before, which made it difficult to plan and take the program seriously. After completing the program, I submitted my LVN license on April 27 and requested that my certification be sent and posted to the Department of Consumer Affairs (Breeze) as required for employment. I received no response. I followed up again the next day and still received no reply. Because of this delay, I have already been denied multiple job opportunities since employers require the certification to be visible on Breeze. Only after multiple follow-ups did I finally receive my certificate, but it still has not been posted on the DCA website, which continues to impact my ability to secure a job. The lack of communication and delayed processing is unacceptable, especially when students are relying on timely certification for employment. This experience has cost me real job opportunities. I would strongly advise future students to consider other programs that are more organized and responsive. Also, I have an email stating that this was a three day course, I asked for the days off, and I already referred many people and paid, during the first day of class I was told this was a 4 day course and had to call out of work. I was also charged two times for this course and asked for a refund and received no reply, I had to open up a dispute with my bank. This school is very unorganized and they overbooked our class.
