This was so bittersweet, as we all wished that she could stay longer (as long as possible) in Marco Polo! We didn't want to leave! We were a part of such a tight-knit, warm, supportive, and welcoming community - the teachers, fellow parents, all the students - that I truly believe that the bond forged and positive effects gleaned (both academic and non-academic) will last well into the future. We felt that the Reggio Emilia approach worked so well in helping kids of different character traits and temperaments grow according to their own pace and strengths. We loved all the teachers that have taught our daughter, as well as others we saw every single day in their various supporting roles (admin, front desk, meal times, science, subs, etc). It took a village, and boy was that village awesome. We could feel that the teachers (and everyone else) working there truly were there because they loved kids, and they loved helping kids thrive. The Preschool and Pre-K programs were particularly notable and instrumental in their roles in helping our daughter get more than ready for her kindergarten year (and beyond). Under the relatively new leadership of Ms. Kimberly, I saw notable improvements in terms of the variety of interesting new subjects, activities, and a stronger sense of direction, leadership, and community. We can't possibly thank Marco Polo enough for helping shape our daughter, for encouraging and loving her, and for supporting us throughout. Ms Amy, Ms Venus, Mr Erick, Ms Paris, Ms Fatemeh, Ms Destinee, Ms Kimberly, Ms Jing, Ms Caitlin, Mr Ruben, Ms Lisa, Ms Janet, and everyone else - you truly made Marco Polo such a wonderful journey for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My kids love playing on their playground. They have real objects like walkie talkies, a phone-booth setup which serve as reference points to give a better grasp of history when they get to school. Ms. Megumi does a great job of maintaining the garden. There are bugs, butterflies, seeds, and plants the kids interact with, and the kids even get to eat vegetables from the garden. The school community puts real effort into family events. The Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and the Christmas Fair are fun for both kids and parents. While the cost reflects local market rates, this program is supplemental.

I'm delighted to write this detailed review of my family's time at Child's World Preschool…read more Our oldest son started at CWPS in the Summer of 2021 during the summer program and we only dipped our toes in, doing just 2 days a week on the T/TH schedule. We enrolled that fall in the 3 day a week program M,W, F. He loved the school, and loved his teachers Miss Miki and Miss Marisela. It felt very magical from the beginning, from the fantastic play yard to all the smiling faces and happy kids. We knew early on how much we enjoyed the school so we enrolled our youngest daughter into the Parent/Toddler program as soon as she was eligible at 18 months. Miss Colleen was wonderful and we faithfully did every session until our daughter was 3 and old enough for the main pre-school program. And she started her pre-school at 5 days a week right away because she was so prepared and ready for it thanks to all of her time with Miss Colleen. Our son went up to 5 days a week for his pre-kindergarten year. He had Miss Tami and Miss Miranda and our whole family loved Miss Tami so much. We started feeling that sense of teacher loyalty. So we admit we were secretly hoping Miss Miki would be our daughter's pre-school teacher too because we were so happy with her, only to find out that Miss Jaime was the perfect match! Our little one blossomed so much during her year with Miss Jaime and Miss Cherie. We finally realized ALL of the teachers are fantastic. So as she was cruising through her pre-kindergarten year last Fall with Miss Betty and Miss Lisset, our family was beginning to feel nostalgic and the distant sting of not having Child's World in our life anymore after 4 wonderful years. It has been a pleasure dealing with everyone at the school from Miss Cindy to now Miss Mai as well as Miss Kelly and Miss Donna, the administration team has been steady, professional and helpful. We also want to give a special thanks and mention to the wonderful other teachers on campus like Miss Cece, Miss Carolina, Miss Amber and Miss Megumi who also made a personal stamp on the hearts of our kids. We loved all the events for the whole family especially Family Fun Day in the Spring and the Christmas Fair and Pancake Breakfast. Both of our kids always took part in the chapel days as well and they loved it, but we never felt any pressure to participate in church events. We can truly say that our experience with Child's World has been one of the best things about our life as parents in Orange County after moving here about 6 years ago. We took so much joy knowing what a wonderful head start they were getting on school, socialization and life outside the house in general. And we are so grateful. Thank you Child's World!

He can have a hard time with transitions, particularly drop offs and doing work was hard for him for a while. Ms. Darlene was very patient and caring and helped him through it all, and over time he started to thrive and I know it was because of her support. Ms. Maria in Orange is also very kind and our son loves to spend time with her in PM care. In moving to Gold class, we were definitely nervous, but Ms. Darlene was there to help him through each step and make sure he was doing okay there, and I know that helped him a lot. He misses his Orange teachers, but he is also now really enjoying Gold class with Ms. Indira and Ms. Brittney. Already we can see he is getting great care and support for learning and becoming more independent and confident. Our younger son was first in Purple and now Blue class, and he has loved all of his teachers. He is happy to go to school every day and happy when he leaves. I know he is in the best care every day there, and learning so much too. We would definitely recommend Milestones!

I cannot say enough great things about them. Then RSI pulled out of seaside. They had a different director every year, a different curriculum every 6 months to a year, and around 6+ teachers left every year after our initial wonderful year. This school is struggling to figure out who it wants to be- do they want to be trilingual or do they want to be Montessori. Whatever they want to be, they don't tell all the parents about it. Positives: the teachers who have been with seaside the past few years are very nice Negatives: New directors every year, which meant a new curriculum and new vibe every year The administration who controls the directors did not have anything in place to keep the school afloat such as policies and procedures When I tried to reach out to admins (Ms Perla is particularly terrible at communication) to ask them questions, I go no response for well over a year. It should not take a year to tell parents the answer to simple questions. Last year's director screamed in children's faces and while a number of us complained about the discipline, the admins did nothing. Nada. I understand from a recent parent meeting we recently attended that state licensing is involved and they told parents licensing might reach out to parents and/or ask our children questions. Overall, if you're looking for your average school to keep your kid alive until 5pm this is fine. If you're looking for an advanced education, I would not recommend it.

Ms. Veronica (the new center Director) has only been here a month and the changes are already huge. This is exactly what we signed up for! She's slowly refreshing the classrooms, which hadn't been consistent before, and the parity between classrooms is starting to show. There's new furniture throughout the center, and we can expect new toys and materials soon. She's making sure the kids are using curriculum-based activities and not secondhand toys or dress-up clothes that weren't part of the curriculum. I also love that teachers are keeping the app updated with daily logs, notes, and lots of photos of my son and his friends and each photo has a caption explaining the activity of the day and what it's teaching them, sometimes videos are shared too. Each classroom has boards that the teachers decorate to show the activities the kids have done for the month, and they change them out every month. It really gives me peace of mind. Previously, diaper changes in the 1 year old room were constantly not being done on time and in accordance with state regulation and now you can see how punctual they are and my son no longer has returned with a rash! Ms. Veronica takes the time for one-on-one meetings to make sure my son feels stable and isn't bouncing through seven different teachers like he was before. When she's unavailable, Ms. Alex is super helpful and communicative. Her leadership, along with her team including Ms. Esmeralda, has made a big difference. Another win is that a janitor was hired so teachers can focus on the kids instead of cleaning all day. It's amazing to see how much more engaged they are now. Shoutout to Ms. Selene and Ms. Ericka E., my son's current teachers. They've been awesome, giving me tips for practicing manners at home and keeping me updated on how my son is doing at the end of the day or in the mornings when I pick him up. Ms. Melissa in the other 1-year-old class is fantastic. The kids love her, she's full of energy, and her flannel boards are the cutest. And if anyone has the chance to have Ms. Elizabeth during the infant stage, she is amazing. She was so supportive in the early stages of motherhood and even gave me guidance on introducing solids at home and how to get him to start feeding himself with finger foods, she told me "you have to let them throw food on the ground, that's how they learn". I'm forever grateful for her, especially during such a new stage in both our lives. We also heard we might see infants and toddlers perform in winter galas, fingers crossed, and I hope to see more child and parent events like other KinderCare centers. There's still some work to do, but I'm really excited about the direction the center is heading. Ms. Veronica is responsive, communicative, and I feel great knowing my son is in such good hands.

Everyone does a great job of communicating through email and the KinderCare app. We looked forward to the daily reports and photos that showed us what our child was doing throughout the day. We were pleased with the way teachers took his milestone goals very seriously. If he struggled with something, they took time to speak with us at drop-offs or pick-ups. We took advantage of the parent-teacher conferences to discuss our child's learning habits and social interactions in more detail. Above all, we were impressed by the patience and caring from teachers and staff. When our son first started, he wouldn't eat. They noticed that he gravitated towards a particular teacher's aide so she sat with him every day until he felt comfortable around the other kids. When our son couldn't fall asleep during naptime, the teachers helped him feel safe. They always encouraged him to open up at his own pace. My…read moreson is a very special child, and we tried many so-called "popular schools" in the area before, but I later discovered that this school was the best. Irvine Montessori is his first school, because of our good experience, we transferred to Newport Montessori after we went to lots of other schools. If you want your child to grow up in a safe, kind, and loving environment, this is the best choice. My son used to have problems at other schools. He didn't want to go to school in the morning, and he had trouble getting along with his friends. He even liked to push other children. But for some reason, after coming to this school, all his bad behavior disappeared. He was happy to go to school every day. He made many friends at school. Every day when he went to school, many classmates would come and hug him. This was completely the opposite of how he had been described as a monster at other schools. Later I realized that it all depended on the kind teachers in this school. Because of their kindness, every child was taught to treat everyone with kindness. Ms Angela, Ms Emily even his previous teacher Ms Everly. They all so kind. Of course, there are many other kind teachers as well. I would even say that the school owner is really good at hiring; everyone here is kind. Because of my previous experience, you can't imagine how grateful I am to this school. My son has had a truly enjoyable time here. I feel so relaxed. All the anxiety I used to have is gone. Don't assume that just because they aren't as famous as other schools, their academics are inferior. I personally witnessed their professors providing one-on-one academic instruction, something that other schools don't seem to offer. I'm not good at leaving positive reviews. But I feel I have to give them a good review, just to put my mind at ease. Thank you Newport Montessori! If they have an elementary program , we would definitely stay here !

I want to acknowledge that the teachers at this school were exceptional, and even some of the…read moredirectors stood out for their dedication and care. Unfortunately, I can only give this school one star because, over the four years my children were here, I witnessed multiple disturbing incidents where the owner and directors engaged in heated verbal arguments on campus--resulting in at least two directors quitting. The hostile work environment fostered by the owner seems to have caused significant anxiety among the staff, leading to a high turnover rate that ultimately harms the children who form strong attachments to their teachers. As a parent, stability is my top priority when choosing a preschool, which is why I made the difficult decision to pull my children out. If you're looking for a school that operates like a family--a place where employees are valued and the well-being of the staff and students is prioritized--this is not that place. It's deeply concerning that, even after speaking with parents who had children here nearly a decade ago, it seems the same issues persist. In a time when we have the power to choose where to spend our money, I cannot in good conscience support a business that treats its employees so poorly. I sincerely hope the school ownership changes.
