I would not recommend renting from Seattle Vacation Home under any circumstances…read more We booked a home called The Autobahn through Expedia for our family, based on its layout, features, and photos. Just before our trip, the property management company told us the home was suddenly unavailable due to "maintenance issues" and moved us to a different house without our consent. That's where the trouble started. The replacement property was dirty, unsafe, and misrepresented. There were stained carpets, a smelly basement, peeling deck boards, filthy bathtubs, and no AC during a heat wave in Seattle. Many rooms had no way to ventilate safely -- windows were sealed shut or lacked screens. Worse: after visiting the original property we booked, we discovered it hadn't been maintained or prepared for guests in months. It was never going to be available. The "maintenance issue" excuse was a complete fabrication. This was a bait-and-switch, plain and simple. When I tried to address the concerns, the owner was dismissive and condescending, suggesting that we should have "ignored the lower two floors" of the home (which were filthy). He took no responsibility for the condition of the property or the misleading communication. We've documented everything with photos, a timeline, and communication logs, which have been shared with Expedia and will be escalated further if needed. This company may appear professional online, but our experience was the opposite. If you're traveling with your family or expecting a quality rental that matches the listing, look elsewhere.

Apartment was very roomy and clean and quiet. The beds were super comfortable. Everything worked as to be expected. Communication and description were also great which I really count on and especially being a first timer using Seattle vacation home and being in the area. We have our go to when visiting, so looking forward to the next one!

Located on a bluff above Eagle Harbor, there is ample outdoor seating to enjoy the massive expanse of water and sky. A curving set of wood and stone steps lead down to the water where one can barbeque, go kayaking, sit and relax, or walk on the beach. I saw an eagle swoop on some cormorants that were sitting out on a floating dais (they dove and easily escaped him). The view of Mt. Rainier from the beach is unique and if one walks down a ways one can see the Seattle skyline. The place is everything it is advertised to be: the windows overlook Eagle Harbor with the ferries coming and going, the kitchen is well equipped and the stove has gas burners, the bed is very comfortable, the television has more channels than I would ever watch, Wi Fi is free, the bathroom is clean and the showerhead is powerful. The owners were friendly and honored my privacy. Photographers, artists, birdwatchers, couples, small families, kayakers, an individual looking to relax - I could go on - will all find something here. I found true peace and quiet.

The view was stunning and I loved watching the ferry go back and forth each day. The weather was beautiful and I was able to sit outside at the cute table and chairs Claes and Jenny have out on the patio. The inside was very clean and cozy and the wood burning stove was awesome! The owners live upstairs but I never heard/saw them, however, they make it very clear in the information they email you that should you need ANYTHING during your stay don't hesitate to just let them know. It was private, quiet and beautiful. For someone who only gets one vacation a year, it was exactly what I needed and as mentioned, I will definitely be back next year!

Stayed here for 4 nights shortly before Labor Day…read more Pros -Cute cabin in easy-to-find location -Close to the water -Nice decor and layout Cons -Human and dog hair on the bedsheets, which had clearly not been washed before we arrived. Whomever was doing housekeeping just made up a dirty bed and called it a day. Gross under any circumstances, but inexcusable during a pandemic. -The bathmat was dirty as well. I threw it in the washer/dryer along with several towels because I no longer trusted the cleanliness of the linens and it came out looking brand-new and almost unrecognizable from what it was before. Yikes. -Missing some very basic-level necessities in terms of dining, cooking, and baking. No wine glasses, one lonely mixing bowl, one tiny cookie sheet, everything else is jumbled together in one big drawer with lots of sharp pointy things that no doubt hundreds of hands have touched. -Everything is technically clean but it's very surface-level, lots of dust and crumbs in spots, including the coffee table. Again, it's a pandemic. You couldn't wipe it down before the next guest? -If you're looking for the coffeemaker, you will find it in the hallway closet near the front door. No idea why it was put there but guessing it's because housekeeping can't be bothered to clean it. My husband and I didn't find it until our second night. If you love your morning coffee then you know how annoying this is. NOTE: I am not a clean freak and I hate leaving negative reviews without contacting first. I tried to contact Mysty Mountain Properties before leaving this review of Vista View Chalet but the phone number on the website was disconnected and the backup phone number led me to a voicemail which told me to text them with my problem. I did so, but they never responded back.

That is the LEAST someone who is in the hospitality business could do to ensure that the guests who have paid a large sum to stay at this dirty old cabin don't freeze to death in the cold. But, we got to the cabin thinking everything was fine, drove family in tow to Leavenworth then to our cabin to find out power is out and has been out. Fine, maybe they didn't know? Fine, then next step should be for a full refund. Because I sure did not pay to camp out with no power near Stevens Pass in the middle of December. But nope, that's too much to ask too. So we drove back home, 3 hours at 9 pm where we had a warm place to stay. Then came back to Stevens pass since we had already booked our lift tickets. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. We opened the door to find not only no power but the stench of stale old body odor. The management is a joke and apparently customer service is not in the vocabulary. As a business owner and also someone who is in the rental industry these people should just quit before they ruin any other holiday plans for another family.

There was no one there to greet us and looked like that they were still getting the dining room ready. The hostess did not come out until five minutes before seating time. I was kind of disappointed since this was supposed to be a special Easter brunch, but there was nothing to indicate that this was for Easter other than a few of the desserts. No Easter bunny, there are a couple Easter egg decorations on every table, but that was about it. Still, the ambience was good, a fancy brunch at a fancy hotel. The wait staff provided excellent service. The food was provided in a pretty good spread. The prime rib and the fresh oysters were probably the standout of the food. I don't know why they only have one person with two tiny hot plates to man the made to order station there for everyone. The family did like the desserts, they were very cute. My wife thought that they were too sweet, but that just means I like them a lot. All in all, it was a good brunch to experience once for a special occasion. No huge complaints here.
