This is a nice family friendly restaurant. The staff are attentive. The dining area is clean and comfortable. There is private parking behind the restaurant so no need to drive around looking all over just to eat there which is a huge plus. The food has good flavors but my meatballs were a bit dry in some parts. The Reuben could use more sauerkraut. We dipped the fries in the beef gravy and that was a treat. As for the drinks we had the almond joy martini is a nice dessert like drink. We also had some tasty beers including a crisp cider. My sister's and I met for dinner at Emerald Rose this week and service was horrible. We ordered appetizers to include Mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were over cooked and quite dry. The Mac and cheese had a piece of hair and when we told our server she could have cared less. We asked her to take it away and she never returned. I called for the manager and told him what had happened and he said we would not be charged for the Mac and cheese. Our server never appeared to ask if we wanted anything else and after waiting 20 minutes we told the manager we were leaving. He gave us the bill for the dry chicken tenders. No one ever apologized. We've been going to b the Emerald Rose for years for special occasions. We've always been beyond impressed by the menu and service. We went yesterday and we were very disappointed. First, they have a new chef who's re-invisioning their menu. A couple dishes we've always ordered were missing. Not a huge deal. Second, while our waitress was wonderful, we did experience long waits for each round of service. It felt like they didn't have enough staff to cover the service. Third, after waiting a long while for our meals, both orders of Shepherds Pie we received were burned. Not badly enough that they were inedible but enough that it wasn't very good. We ate them because we just didn't have enough time to wait for another order to be made and we didn't want to upset the Mom's in our group. It wasn't the worst dining experience I've ever had but it was definitely not what we expect from the Emerald Rose. Yesterday, we paid a premium price for an ok product. We'll be back but probably not when we want it to be a special meal. read more

Tonight we ordered the corn beef dinner and it was awful. The meat was fair but improperly sliced. They cabbage and vegetables were very under cooked. Four of us at my table all had the same under cooked dinner! I advised our waitress and she brought us 4 new orders of cabbage. It was still all undercooked!! Our waitress said she will send the manager over to see us. The manager didn't have the courtesy to stop by. She was setting up tables next to us, but chose to ignore us. You would think that any food manager would notice four plates hardly touched. But, she looked the other way. Obviously, she is in the wrong business. The dinner was some of the worst food I have had in a long time and obviously they don't care. Well, we won't be back!! read more

This place is a popular local destination on the weekends. We went with friends on Friday night and it was packed. We thought we'd have to wait forever for a table but it only took a few minutes. Due to Covid they have either individual table tops you could reserve, rather than sitting at the bar, or they had booth seating. Our waitress was quick-witted, engaging, and friendly. Service was impeccable. I love their drink menu and had their almond joy rum which included Chocolate liqueur. The meal was fresh and delicious. I was impressed how quickly they served us even though they had a full house. We ordered chili which was a perfect mix of spicy and savory comfort. They're in huge bowls and it was warming on a cold night. We also had their tasty nachos, shepherds pie and burger. All were prepared perfectly. Their bathroom and the rest of the place is impeccably clean and the Irish decorations are worth admiring. I highly recommend this place. read more

The food used to be great here, been going for 14 years. After new owners took over food has gone downhill and doesn't taste fresh. We went on Valentines day and they had bad looking fake flowers and 70's music blasting, and the service was bad. The restaurant side now has a poor atmosphere. On Easter Sunday, my husband and 2 adult children went to this restaurant for dinner. Our reservation was for 1:45 and we were promptly seated at 1:30. Our waitress never introduced herself and was less than pleasant. We got our drinks and our appetizer in a timely fashion, however we cannot say the same about our meals. After waiting for over an hour, we decided to pay our drink/appetizer bill and leave. What was most upsetting, however was the service (or should I say lack thereof). While I do understand it was Easter, when we attempted to inquire as to the status of our meal, the hostess at the front desk rudely said 'you will need to ask your server'. We would have loved to have asked our server if we could have found her! She came by once to take another drink order and was never seen again. She never came back to our table to inform us of the status of our meals or to apologize for the length of the time that we had been waiting. Before we left, I spoke to the manager Robert, who after I explained to him what had happened, presented me with a 20 percent off card for our next visit. There will never be a next visit, therefore, this card is useless. Good customer service on behalf of a manager would have been offering to pay our $66.00 drink/appetizer bill. The rudeness of the front desk hostess and the total lack of concern on behalf of the waitress is inexcusable no matter how busy the restaurant was. We had no Easter dinner due to the Emerald Rose.
