A salesperson came out, assessed the situation, and confidently told me a sump pump and drainage system would solve my problem. I signed the contract and made my first payment on 6/25/2026. The installation was done on 7/14/2026. The very next day, my basement flooded -- the exact same way it did before the install. Nothing changed. I paid over $6,000 for a system that did absolutely nothing to fix the issue it was sold to fix. On top of that, the sump pump is defective. It beeps every time it rains. A technician who eventually came out confirmed two things: (1) the sump pump did not fix my flooding problem, and (2) the beeping is not normal behavior -- it indicates a faulty pump. That was three weeks ago. No one has come to replace or repair the defective pump. My basement still floods as if nothing was ever installed. Getting anyone on the phone is a nightmare. It took 5-6 voicemails and multiple escalations just to get a technician scheduled, and even then it was 2-3 weeks out. No one from the company has taken ownership of the mistake, offered any restitution, or proposed a path forward. Every interaction has been dismissive and painful. I spent over $6,000 on a solution that doesn't work, installed by a company that won't return my calls. Stay away!

Con south saved me $20,000 and helped fix an issue from a different grader/company…read more Short story - I hired a different company to do grading and unfortunately they had a different vision and tried to sell me the idea that grading to be done would include a retaining wall. This is where Jason @ Con South came in to save the day and my butt. Not only was Jason professional and didn't try to give me any BS and was a straight shooter, honest, reliable. He is the type of contractor that will look you in the eye and tell you I can help. Its rare that you come across someone with such integrity. If you with with hard-working and and honest guy, then ConSouth is the right place. I am so blown away by the quality of the work... that I am writing a thesis that explains what happened. (see my pictures) Long Story - I cleared out about 1/8 acre in my yard that included some over 30+ trees and steep terrain so that I could get a backyard where I could extend my deck and include modern/shed. Unfortunately, I did not talk to ConSouth and hired another company. After 3+ days of grading, this other company was selling my the idea that I would need retaining wall to support my backyard..... Wait, I never wanted a wall only grading so that I could build things. Oh, by the way the quotes I was getting for a retaining wall was between $21,000 to $16,000, plus thousands I already paid this other company to do the grading. So this when I called Jason at ConSouth. I realized that I hired the wrong company and Jason provided me some frank advice and said he could work with me. Not only was he able to get rid of poorly managed grading from the other company, he moved tree stumps the size smalls cars out of the backyard that was previously left from the other company with his bobcat that the other company would not do.
