All of a sudden every time I went to the dentist I had cavities, need crowns etc. My most recent trip they told me I had a cavity back on my molar that needs to be filled. I said to Dr Patel, that I just had that filled by Dr Kim on my prior visit. She insisted that it was different, but I remember it because I endured the pain to get it filled. Upon my return trip for the filling, Dr Patel stated it was 2 cavities needed to be filled?!! I was like all of a sudden it is 2 cavities when my estimate stated only 1. Dr Patel started drilling away and about 30 mins in she stopped drilling and said to me, I am doing my best but the cavity is in between my back molar and the adjacent tooth. She also stated it could possible need a root canal if the filling doesn't work. I said I came to fill 1 cavity that turned into 2 cavities and now you are saying possible a root canal ?? Then I rolled my tongue across the area and was SHOCKED to feel my molar bored out so much that was there any tooth left?? I asked her why she bored out, what felt like my whole tooth, so much of my tooth and she stated because of the cavity touching 2 teeth. Right then I knew this was the exact area where Dr. Kim tried to fill. I told her that Dr Kim must have done it wrong, because she is telling me the cavity was underneath the filling. Common sense tells you the cavity wasn't done right the first time. So she continued drilling and about 1 1/2 hours later I left with swollen lip,do to the assistant stretching my mouth so far, and a prognosis of a possible root canal if this filling doesn't work. A couple of months later I went to a different dentist, for my 2nd cleaning for the year,and he tells me that my tooth needs a root canal. Now facing a $3000.00 root canal when this new dentist looked at the tooth she told me she could not do a root canal because my tooth was FRACTURED and needed to be pulled!!! She stated the previous dentist took out so much of the tooth that it fractured and could not be saved. So they pulled my right molar. Now this is my steak chewing tooth and now I need a $5000.00 implant!!!!! If you value your teeth do NOT go to Hamilton Mill Dental Associates because they will nickel and dime you to death and possible fracture your teeth!!! I had a crown come out from them and they couldn't see me for three days to fix it and then told me you should never go this long to get a replacement....I said that y'all would not work me in. Again Crowns should NOT come off unless they were done incorrectly the first time!! Again another$1500.00!! BEWARE of this office!!!! Stay away!!! Or you will be returning every time you have a cleaning!!!!! Please take my advice!!!! Dr. Patel is too inexperienced to be drilling anything in your mouth and the associates push down so hard with suction that your inside of your mouth will get cut, bruised or torn. Every Dentist I have been to ALWAYS puts Vaseline on your lips to prevent the trauma!!! If you love your teeth and want to keep them DO NOT VISIT HAMILTON MILL DENTAL ASSOCIATES !!!!

We were cutting up like we'd been long time besties! My hygienist and the dentist were also great! It felt like being at the salon, just for my teeth. And since we couldn't pinpoint where the pain was coming from, as of course it didn't hurt when I woke up this morning even though it had been hurting the past couple of days, he suggested to wait and see if it comes back and if so call them and he can do more direct treatment. I'm glad I did. Walk In: When I first walked in I enjoyed what I saw and heard. What I saw was a nice comfortable place that set me at ease a little. What I heard was nothing, as I was the only one in there for my appointment. Mind you, I'm not a fan of dentists!! I've had so many things go bad with me during appointments and procedures. Examination: I already told the woman who was doing my examination, "Look! I'm not very fond of dentists too much!" I explained why and she understood. She said I was in good hands, I said ok. I told her if you even think you may hurt me by probing me somewhere, let me know first before you do! She said I got you. Probing starting going on and she let me know each time before it happened. Yet, I wasn't in any pain like I would be at other places. On a scale of 100%, I probably felt 20% pain during my examination. If I was anywhere else, I would have felt 85% pain! So now I'm winning. After the examination a treatment plan was discussed as well as appointment made for the treatment. Overall: As I do not care for dentists too much, I feel comfortable with these guys. Like I told them, as long as y'all numb me good, and I don't feel a thing, and send me home with meds after the procedure, I'm good!! They did guarantee me that aspect of my treatment.

The orthodontic assistants were either new and inexperienced or experienced and rude. The length of treatment was greatly extended due to lack available appointments. The doctor would say 4 weeks, but no appointments available for 6/7 weeks. When that happened every time, treatment got extended by over a year. We regret not going to a smaller practice.
