We found this facility and were hopeful since it was closer to home and was also a pediatric dentistry. However, after our visit today, we will not be returning to this facility again. The service at the front desk was laughable at best (if not otherwise noted as terrible.) After going back and forth for over an hour because they "could not find dental coverage for my son" due to a blatant error on their part that I corrected over and over, my children and I left. I thought it was an honest mistake.. but now it's happened again and I've been trying to get a hold of someone to find out why and make sure they are more careful so this doesn't happen again and I've gotten the run around and haven't received calls back for MONTHS. Meanwhile the charges keep racking up because every time they send a bill it's an additional $10 charge. !!!MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT SCHEDULED MORE THAN YOUR INSURANCE WILL COVER!!! Most of the time, we do wait 10-15 minutes after our scheduling appointment time to be called back. At times we do feel rushed, but the kids do get their X-rays done and my kids have very healthy teeth. We also got my son off sucking his thumb from this practice in 2-3 months after sucking his thumb for almost 3 years. Pre-covid the waiting room and waiting area inside was fun with games and light walls, but now they are limited. They have a prize wall too, after the kids' appointment. The seating arrangement for cleaning and consult is mainly chairs in a circle in 1 large room, so hygienists and dentists can move around. There are a couple of closed-off rooms for multiple kids and run-over.

The waiting room has a giant artificial tree in the lobby, as well as a separate room for patients to watch a movie. Once further inside, the decor is professional and kid friendly. They have TVs for the patients to watch during their cleaning or procedures. The X-ray aprons have smiley faces on them - how cute is that? To this day my son still gets a reward coin after his cleaning to use in their prize machine. :) Dr. Bongiovi is the Best! He is very patient, honest, extremely skilled, and compassionate. They offer private rooms at an additional $100 (optional) but only in the mornings and if you agree to a private room once- the office categorizes you as a patient who can graduate from that room but only based on the discretion of the people who are getting paid by such private room⁉They will refuse to schedule an appt with a regular room moving forward. You are stuck paying for the private room and front desk can't do anything about it. This feels unethical and not in the best interest of your patients. Every other dental office will offer you a private room due to hipaa and osha ( this is a clear violation) and not charge additional. The only difference is there is a door here and not a partition. At this office they make it so the chairs sit SO close together like in a dental college ( a dental bay is a clear osha violation) - that naturally the parent will request that private room bc all it takes is one crying child to scare the others. Either way, you do have to agree to it so it's not a secret either but again feels off and completely on purpose! This area is like the, "nicest," in the neighborhood I guess and the other offices around are pretty old, making it so that these type of businesses provide care in a different way, more like you're a number and not a person. The slide and toys are nice but not what most important here. It's too bad bc Dr.Diaz was very kind and the hygienists were lovely as well. Today my child was to have a broken tooth crowned to protect it. Once my child was done they said we would schedule a follow up, which is fine, they tried to have me come in next day, Which my other child had an appointment for two weeks from today so I asked if we could schedule it then, which they said was fine. We get home and I check my child's mouth, and they ended up crowning an extra tooth that didn't need crowned, so I immediately called and started asking questions that they apparently couldn't answer. Then come to find out the follow up appointment wasn't going to be about checking the work done today, it was to do more work that I had no idea about prior and did not consent to. So essentially the next visit while one of my children was having a check up, the other would have been getting work done that I didn't have knowledge of. These people are giving children, especially those with state insurance unnecessary dental work because they are money grabbing from the state.
