Service was great and food was awesome, I ordered a side of garlic bread and it was like the dunked the bread in melted garlic butter and toasted it. If you like buttered bread you will love this. I don't know about parking because we walked there from a hotel down the street, the dining area is large and roomy, the bars are spacious and a great place to enjoy a meal. Strong drinks, good food, great service and open late in sleepy downtown Sonora. What's not to like! After a long day driving to/from and through Yosemite, I gave a whoop! to see Emberz was open at 9:40 pm on a rainy Thursday night. We scrambled out of the car and piled into the restaurant that was a warm and welcoming respite from the spitting rain and cold outside. After nearly 9 hours of driving that day and on lots of windy roads, I picked the strongest drink I could think of: A Maker's Mark Manhattan. It was.... perfect! The Angry Vito wood fired pizza topped with sausage and red peppers was a little too spicy for my little boy but it didn't stop either of us from scarfing all but 2 slices (we offered them to a couple at the bar, they were delighted). The food and environment were so right on that we went back for dinner the following night. I choose a less spicy pizza topped with chicken & bacon and lots of garlic. It was delicious. We also opted for the Yelp deal of 50% off the chicken wing appetizer (they had several styles and we chose the teriyaki). My little boy gobbled them up one after the other. The wings were delicious, savory and sticky; I've tried to duplicate them twice to no avail. "My grandfather would want me to have it" (rolled eyes) got a green light for the most decadent dessert I've seen in a long time: a literal *brick of a warmed brownie packed with chocolate chips and topped with ice cream and fresh raspberry sauce. (That he finished it had me chuckling and frankly, startled).
