I love really good neighbourhood restaurants and Ember did not disappoint. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We fetched up on a Friday night for our 8.30 booking and were immediately seated in a very busy and buzzy room. The noise level from all around was astonishing and the joint was definitely leppin. For starters I had fantastic scallops and three of us then shared the 23oz Cote de Boeuf with plenty of sides to make sure there was enough to go round. There was plenty. A particular shout out for the roast carrots and parsnips which were drizzled in honey and roasted to perfection. The steak, medium rare, was superb and, had we owned a dog, the leftover rib would have kept Fido engaged for a good while. A very nice Merlot complimented the beef very well and we waddled out into a rainy D6 replete and ready for bed! We will be back. read more
