The tattoo itself was beautiful, if a bit expensive, but that's fine because I'm expecting a quality tattoo. The issue came about two/three weeks after, when I brought up how some lines were clearly not as saturated as the others. I'm disappointed to have to update my review but my recent experience make it necessary. I went back to Embassy Tattoo for another piercing (a conch) and had no issues. I asked a question about my original cartilage piercing and I was told that the piercer used a barbell that was too short and there was no way for the piercing to swell and heal properly. My earring was changed but I was charged for a new earring, even though they used the wrong one in the first place. A few weeks later I was cleaning the conch piercing and the earring fell out, and because it was a small earring that screwed into the back, it was not easy to put back in myself or with my husband's help. I called Embassy Tattoo to ask if they could put my earring back in for me, and they said they weren't taking jewelry changes that day because they were running a special for only new piercings. When I said it wasn't a new piercing, it was a 3 week old piercing that fell out, they told me it didn't matter and to stop by the next day. I definitely wasn't waiting a day to put a new piercing back into my ear when it was throbbing, swelling, and would definitely close by then. I went to another tattoo shop nearby who, after saying a new piercing should not have been a screw-in earring, changed the earring for one that snapped in. They also took a look at the new piercing and the original cartilage I got at Embassy Tattoo and said both were pierced on an angle which makes it harder to heal (as I've been experiencing over these last few months). While the staff at Embassy Tattoo are great, I don't see myself going back to after this. read more

Despite the chaos that came with such a good deal, they were super organized, my tattoos and piercings both got done quickly, and I think they look great! I've been a fan of Kevin's for nearly 10 years and was so glad that I finally pulled the trigger on a new piece. I had a great experience at Embassy Tattoo and highly recommend it for custom tattoos. I heard about the shop via word of mouth after seeing an amazing tat on a coach at an Orange Theory class. I reached out to the shop with my idea in July and was contacted promptly to ask if I would be willing to be added to the wait list for Fernando. He is popular and good things come to those who wait, obviously. I was thrilled to be invited in for a consult a few months later to discuss my vision for the tattoo. I really appreciated his research and prep work to design it just the way I wanted. Part of the process is waiting so I'm not sure why people are getting upset about that. You can't rush precision and custom art. The entire tattoo took about 8 hours because we took breaks and had lunch, etc., but I knew this ahead of time and was prepared. Beware of certain artists/owner! I had been working with Pablo from embassy tattoo on a tattoo on my chest. After sending in pictures, and going in for a consult, we set a date for the appointment. From the beginning of the time I was told to arrive, Pablo did not handle things professionally. He had not drawn up anything for my appointment, and then neglected to include anything we talked about in my consult. This delayed the session by several hours as he handled another consult during my time slot, and had to fix his stencils. If he tells you that he is drawing them by hand (free hand), do not trust that as he literally just traced the image I had previously given him. Once we began to tattoo (4 hrs after I arrived at the shop), he proceeded to take multiple 30+ min breaks due to the fact he forgot his anniversary and was trying to figure out what to get her. He would walk out of the shop randomly and not return for 30-60 min while I just sat shirtless in the shop. In the end, the only thing he tattooed was the outline and maybe 10% of the shading by the time I left 8 1/2 hrs after I arrived at the shop. When I was closing out, he attempted to get me to pay for a full 6 hr session, when in total he only tattooed 3 hrs (he didn't even fulfill the time requirement for a half day session). When I confronted him about his constant breaks, he attempted to blame the owner (His friend/Fernando) and said he couldn't budge on the price. I refused to pay for 6 hrs of tattooing when only 3 was performed. I told him I would come back and finish the tattoo and pay for 2 half day sessions, which was still more money than he promised me it would cost. He threw a temper tantrum and said he didn't feel like working on the tattoo anymore. Now I am stuck with an outline of a tattoo across my chest, attempting to find a new artist to finish what Pablo wasn't able to handle. I paid $1200, due to the manager and front desk staff being helpful and understanding, but the owner refused to even speak with me and just told me to go somewhere else. STAY AWAY from Embassy tattoo. Follow the artists you like, but wait until they go to better studio with an owner who understands professionalism. If you use Pablo, make sure there isn't an anniversary or birthday or anything he forgot which will give him an excuse to try and con you out of your money. read more

Ive never posted a bad review EVER. But unfortunately I can't not say something. I came in for a flash piercing, I got my conch done. All seemed fine until 2 weeks later when I got a piercing bump. Seemed easy enough, I took extra good care of it, and then weeks go by and it doesn't seem to get worse but not better either, my ear gets very red to the touch and I think it's me, I must have done something wrong. One morning I wake up to my piercing being partially embedded in my ear. I clean it, seems better, I still thought I did something. The next morning I wake up again and it's embedded. Again. I went to a different piercing place for them to take it out because I figured I just wasn't meant for piercings. TURNS OUT. My conch was pierced at an angle that would never heal properly. It was farther embedded than I thought and the jewelry that I upgraded for an upcharge ended up being fake. She told me that it was not the quality that should ever be in someone's body. She fixed my piercing and turns out the pain I went through getting it pierced originally is not normal at all. She looked like she was going to cry for me with how wrong that experience went. If this was just a me thing I'd consider not saying something. Everyone makes mistakes even if they are professionals I guess but I am not the only one this has happened to. This is not just a me thing, maybe other piercings aren't like this but I would NOT get a conch piercing done here read more

Checking in was easy but if you are coming for a day session, I would recommend finding parking in advance at the garages or spothero. We started with some references and drafted a design that he thought would work with my existing tattoo to make it cohesive. The design blew my mind away and it was just the stencil. The customer service is abysmal. On Oct. 23, 2020, I emailed Embassy to get info about get a tattoo modified/covered up-- I explicitly started that I wanted an existing tattoo altered. The person who wrote back (Tess) told me that the artist's whose work I was interested books were full. I wrote back requesting to be added to Kevin's books and was told that I was added. I followed up periodically, about every 6-8 weeks, for status updates on the waitlist and each time was told that his books weren't open yet. I eventually stopped following up bc I figured they would contact me. Wrong. More than a year passed. In Nov. 2021, I commented on one of Kevin's IG posted and let him know that I had been on his waitlist for over a year and asked if that was normal. He asked me to DM him with my email address, which I did, so that someone could follow up. In the follow up email, I again stated that I was interested in touch up work. It was only at that time-- which, again, was over a year from my initial communication with Embassy-- that I was told that Kevin doesn't even do touch up on other artists' work. Wtf! That would've been nice to know a year ago when I was placed on his waitlist. Since they wasted my time for a year, I wrote back asking if I could be placed on Kevin's books for a small original tattoo. I communicated with the receptionists, sent a picture of what I wanted and the desired size and location of the tattoo and then... radio silence. The entire front of the house needs to be trained on proper communication. Kevin and Memo's tattoos look great, but the piss poor communication has made it impossible to get an appt. read more

I got my first tattoo done here and it was a great experience. The process of getting the tattoo done from my own inception to the final process took about a month (I had some good luck on my side). First, I emailed and notified them of what I wanted (realistic tiger). Then we set up a consultation after I decided which tattoo artist would fit my need (in this case it was Kevin). After the consultation with Kevin, we agreed upon a price, made a down payment, and set the date for my tattoo appointment (which is where I got lucky since one of Kevin's clients changed their appointment date which meant I could get mine the following week). Keep in my mind if you use a credit card, there's a card fee percentage charge so if you can bring cash, you'll save 3%. Anyways, on the day of the tattoo, Kevin showed me a stencil of the design he had made and I agreed with it. For me, it took about 7-8 hours but Kevin did a great job and it looked awesome. He was a pro's pro and focused throughout the entire process and answered any questions I had. Once the tattoo was completed, I made my final payment with tip and got instructions for aftercare of the tattoo which has helped so far. These guys are awesome and I would def recommend them to anyone getting a tattoo. read more
