I scheduled a tattoo with guest artist @gee_nk at Trilogy, and the experience was great. Upon arrival, I was greeted and introduced to my artist. The shop is very clean and can get busy. The bathroom was spotless, and I was offered water and donuts. Gee is an excellent artist and did an amazing job on my tattoo. My session lasted about 10 hours, and we stayed until the shop closed. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and ensure I had a great experience.

Rico was by the best tattoo artist I have ever worked with! We came in as walk in and he took care of every person in my party of 4 and even stayed after closing to help us all out! The line work was absolutely amazing! Rico is doing awesome work in there and made us feel so welcomed!

This studio is the PLACE TO GO if you're in D.C. it's clean, it's nice, and the staff is friendly. Everyone is very professional and welcoming. This was my first two tattoos and I felt very comfortable throughout the entire experience. We walked in last minute and they were able to do everything we asked. Love this spot!

Went to this studio for my first tattoo, and they did an amazing job. The piece is dense with small, detailed lines, and the artist really nailed it. I say this only to highlight that they addressed it very professionally, but the artist left out three teeny tiny lines, and they made it very easy for me to come back in for a free touch up. Very professional, clean, and comfortable spot, as others have said. Very much recommend and wouldn't go anywhere else for future work.

It was my first time getting tattooed at this shop and it was an overall great experience. The environment is professional and fun to be around. I got tattooed by Maria and she did an amazing job, not just with the tattoo itself but with her communication skills and attentiveness. I would definitely come back!

i had the mold of his paw print and this came out great !

It's been 20 years since my last tattoo and this was the best experience from start to finish !! Dedo the guest artist was amazing to work with ! Getting the tattoo of my late dog i was so nervous hoping it would turn out good ! Dedo is a guest artist in town from Mexico till the 21st..He took time to perfect the image and then was so easy going to talk to and made it such a fun experience! he was also able to do the paw print on my ankle ! Dedo's detail was amazin so glad i made the appointment ! the shop was clean , and the staff (David?) well the guy w the beard was super friendly , and patient as well staying open well past closing and not rushing me out ! definitely check them out on 14th street!!

The tattoo that I requested was very simple and small, and they could not have executed this more perfectly. Furthermore, this was my first tattoo, and they put my newbie nerves at ease immediately. Pros: Price: The tattoo that I received cost $160 (pre tip). They ask for a deposit of 50% in advance, and then have you pay the rest onsite. I believe that $160 is the minimum price for any tattoo here. Tripp provided me with a quote in advance, per my request, and was very prompt and direct about the pricing as soon as I provided him with an example of what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I initially felt like this price was a bit high, however I called several highly rated tattoo parlors in the area, and this was the lowest price for my simple tattoo. So comparatively, this place checks out, price-wise! I am glad I paid to have it done at Wasteland, as the experience was incredible. Accuracy: The tattoo was executed exactly as I requested-- I couldn't have asked for it to be any more accurate, honestly. It was simple, but I think with simple designs, any flaws are even more visible, in a way? So I was very pleased with how it came out. Friendliness: I had a very pleasant experience here. Banter throughout the tattooing process, I felt like my artist and I were just friends hanging out. There were upbeat R&B oldies playing, which put me right at ease. Pain: Truly painless, to be honest. I was shocked by how little pain I experienced. Honestly, it was reminiscent of a small scratch. Also super quickly completed. Simplicity of booking: Booking this appointment was so easy. I figure that this is partly due to the simplicity of my design, however I was still surprised how quickly they got me in. I was able to secure an appointment within a week of reaching out. When I showed up, they were ready for me, and the entire experience felt very streamlined and efficient. Clean studio: The studio was clean, modern, spacey, and private. The bright colors and upbeat music put me at ease immediately. Masks were worn throughout the process. Instructions on treatment/self care of tattoo: My artist provided me with detailed instructions as to how to care for my tattoo. I asked a lot of beginner, kinda silly questions, but never felt belittled, and felt like I was being taken seriously and really cared for just in the way that my questions were addressed. The care process was honestly very easy, and within a couple of days, I felt that it was pretty much healed up! A super easy and fun process :) Cons: Truly ZERO from me! I am so pleased with my tattoo and impressed with the overall experience offered at Wasteland tattoos. I am recommending to all of my friends in the DC area! Go here! You will not be disappointed, and your expectations will surely be exceeded, as mine were.

They told us they get tons of walk-ins in that location because of how many people are in town for business and travel. First things first: the shop itself looked super clean, super organized, and really well done. Bright, professional, tons of flash on the walls, and everything felt sanitary and put together. We each got our zodiac symbols to represent our friendship. My artist was Sam Layzelle, and he was great. Easy to talk to, professional, confident. The tattoo was small (inside of my ankle so it definitely was not painless), and it only took about 10 minutes. He worked quickly and cleanly, and it was over super quick. Both artists were chatting with us while working, and my friend and I were getting tattooed at the same time, which made it even more fun. Sam mentioned he travels to Scranton, PA for the tattoo convention there, so we ended up talking about Pennsylvania and where we're from. It felt relaxed and personal instead of rushed. Each tattoo was $140 plus tip. If you're in Adams Morgan and feeling brave (or just a little impulsive), I'd absolutely recommend stopping in.

The waiting room and reception area is dark and moody, while the studio is bright and roomy. There was music playing but tons of great artists at work, and it felt like a quirky brain trust in the best way. Working with Malvi was a dream. We communicated online beforehand and she is super professional and sweet. She gave me a price estimate and really put a lot of thought into what I wanted. Once I got there, she reviewed the details and then went and drew a sketch. In just 30 minutes she had a beautiful design created! She then printed the design out in multiple sizes so I could see what size I wanted best. I loved that she came prepared with options because I always feel bad asking for more. Once it was time to start, she had several outlines ready so again I felt comfortable asking for small changes. She was really thoughtful and careful with the placement. The set up was also very clean and thoroughly prepared. Malvi was very gentle during the tattooing process and gave me lots of space to ask for breaks and stretches. It was incredible watching her tattoo- she is a master! The end result was the most gorgeous tattoo I have out of four. She was very clear with the aftercare and how to contact her about touch ups. I feel like she is here for me through the healing process. If you're considering where to get your next tattoo, Cry Baby and Malvi are excellent options!

I have been looking for the PERFECT opportunity, artist, price, and design for a long time. Probably since I got my last tiny thin line tat when I turned 26. The studio is clean and new! Perfect vibes with calming music with artwork hung up all around. Lovely plants and a clean bathroom! I parked up the street on P street. Do NOT park in the bank parking lot across the street. A short walk from P street will take you to a hidden in plain sight entrance to 3 businesses: of which Tattoo Culture is one of them. A tall skinny staircase and BOOM, you're in! The location is ideal and within minutes from well known restaurants and spots to pop in. Isa is so professional and friendly. Make sure you bring your ID for all your introductory paperwork. This is completed easily on a tablet. From there- she already had my design and size ready to go! She cleaned the area right near my ankle throughly with alcohol and prepped me. She was so kind and prepared, she even has little disposable razors if you are looking to get tatted and need a little clean up in the area. She proceeded to get me comfy- even offered me a pillow! She showed me how the tat would look by a quick stencil and look in the mirror. Once I decided the location (At first I thought I wanted it on the back of my wrist but once she put on the stencil I realized that most of the time attach it would be backwards if my arms down and she helped me come to the conclusion that it would be best placed on my ankle where it was always upright). She did not rush me or have the typical tattoo shop demeanor of "get in and get out". She even offered me snacks like a caprisun and chips :) She showed me the brand new needle and unpackaged it in front of my eyes. She clearly values cleanliness and safety and I absolutely respect and appreciate these efforts! Once I laid down, the tattoo itself took maybe 15/20 minutes. She is gentle and deliberate! Midway we changed the color up and it came out beautiful and dainty. Just like I wanted! The extra level of courtesy, hospitality, and customer service was paramount. She even offered to turn on Netflix to put me at ease. I would recommend this shop to anyone, and I already have! Great for a quick tiny tat or a detailed art piece. I had the best experience here and I have no doubt this business will be very successful. Thank you so much Isa!!! Please follow them and check out their work @isatatts on IG!
