This came up as a recommendation from Yelp so we headed over for a late breakfast to check it out. When you walk in, you can't help but be amazed by the sheer magnitude of the space - for a cafe, this is massive. It's also decorated SO beautifully. You see why many set up camp and stay for a while - chatting with friends, working, just enjoying a good coffee.... It reminds me of the cafes in Dubai (IYKYK). This is a restaurant where you order at the counter, are provided a light up pager, and go find a place to sit (if dining in). They have a variety of seating types as well. The person at the counter who took our order helped with answering all of our questions about the goodies in the display. He was very patient. We each ordered a Nutella Latte and Croissants - mine was a Dubai Chocolate one and hubby doubled down on the Nutella. We did not wait long (it wasn't incredibly busy but the place was about 70% full at 12:30 on a Sunday) when the pager went off. They serve your food and drinks on nice wooden trays. Each pastry was on a wooden plate and we chose to have our coffees served in a to go cup as we only planned to sit while eating and take the coffees to go. The croissants were warmed which helped to bring out the taste. They were delicious! And the lattes were very good as well. My wife and I went here to see the new place. She had seen an advertisement for it and was very interested. We were celebrating an anniversary and wanted to enjoy some coffee and sweets. We had a wide variety of options. We both had some different types of coffee and desserts which we shared. The place is very ornate and posh. No complaints there. Service was quick enough. The coffee wasn't exactly to our liking and the desserts were good but not overwhelmingly so. Perhaps it's just not our thing. Still deserves an ample score of 4.2 rounding to 4. This coffee shop has a really upscale atmosphere that honestly reminded me of cafés in Dubai -- very modern, elegant, and aesthetically designed. The interior feels luxurious and is definitely one of the nicer coffee spots in the area if you're looking for that higher-end vibe. The prices are a bit higher compared to other coffee places nearby, so you're definitely paying partly for the experience and ambiance. The food was okay, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out to me. The coffee, though, was genuinely good and worth trying. Smooth, well made, and clearly higher quality than your average café drink. Overall, I'd come back more for the coffee and atmosphere than the food. read more

This is a beautifully designed and extremely clean cafe that feels so comfortable. The service is amazing and the amout of drink options are vast. My colleagues and I stopped in after a business meeting next door. Not only were they offering traditional coffee and tea drinks but also specialty drinks like mango matcha drinks. read more

First time here. Initial impression is that it is large and shiny and packed. After some decision, I decided to go with the Spanish Latte, which included foam, condensed milk, their special spice. I asked for less sweetness, but still it was a bit too sweet. It was bright and clean inside, and the service was quick considering how many customers there were. They had a number of different pastries on display. I thought the latte was delicious and tasted just right, with the exception that it was a bit too sweet. Espresso had a nice kick. This place has just had their opening about ten days ago. The cafe is HUGE, with high ceilings and lovely gold decor. It's got a very warm feeling to it, with light music playing that's not too loud or distracting. I overall found this to be a great addition to the plethora of Arab core shops that have become so prolific in recent years. When I went, it was quite busy, but by the time I made my order, it took less than 10 minutes to get my stuff. We got an iced cookie butter latte (which appears to be Lotus!) and one of the macarons. I normally don't like macarons, but this one packed a lot of flavors. I believe I got one of the chocolate ones- it came with some gold flakes, and was half white and half chocolate dipped. The iced cookie butter latte met my expectations, you really can't go wrong with Lotus. There is a massive menu, and I really want to try their sandwiches as they are all halal and looked super tasty! You get your choice of bread on them and an up charge of $0.95 if you want a croissant for your bread. It's a bit busy and there's a lot of chatter but it's a nice place to chat or even study as I observed some customers doing that. read more

This cafe is stunning. The gold and white aesthetic is beautiful. It is also quite spacious with plenty of seating inside. Their menu is expansive with variety of coffee drinks, teas, refreshers, pastries, desserts and sandwiches. It tried the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso and Spanish latte. Both tasted decent, but extremely sweet. I suggest asking for less sweet if you don't like super sweet drinks. They carry the same generic drink flavors and use the same pastry vendor as every other Yemeni coffee shop around. I'd recommend if you are looking for average coffee and pretty vibes. read more

I visited Emari with friends on a Saturday evening, and it was super busy. The place itself is beautiful, with a really nice, spacious vibe. However, it was so crowded that many people stayed for hours with just one coffee, so finding a seat was really tough--even though there's a lot of space. The menu had a great variety, and we tried some desserts; the lattes and coffees were delicious. That said, the service could have been better--they didn't clean tables quickly, so some chairs were left dirty. I think they just don't put much emphasis on turnover, since it was packed. If you're looking for a relaxing evening, this is probably not the place--it's very noisy, and a lot of people bring small kids, even in the evening, so it's far from relaxing. Visited during their soft opening and I was pleasantly surprised!! The cafe itself is beautiful, it's super spacious and there's ample space for groups too. There's also a study/meeting room. Given that we went during the soft opening, they were sold out of quite a few of the sandwich options, but we ended up getting the egg & cheese croissant and tunacado and both were great!! The croissants that the sandwiches were served on were delicious, super buttery and flaky! For my drink I got the mango smoothie and loved it, I saw someone drinking one and couldn't resist. First and foremost, it is safe to say that the cafe space is dominated by women. Why, then, do you have an all-male staff? Out of 10 to 15+ workers, there is only one girl taking orders. In an ideal world, this would not be a problem; unfortunately, however, these dudes are absolute creeps.. specifically the servers. I overheard multiple conversations among female customers, including my wife, about how uncomfortable they feel. There is nonstop staring and creepy smiling. They rub against women as they pass by as if there isn't enough room to get through, and they thrust their pelvises toward the table when serving food. They get far too close for comfort. And look, maybe some women out there would fancy this sort of experience but I'm talking cringy guys that squint like a barely born naked mole rat, 4'11, baseball cap to hide the hairline and a beard that doesn't connect type dudes so go on and throw that fantasy out the window. Now the place is aesthetically pleasing, but that's where it ends. Coffee is mid. Portions are small for what you pay. Sandwhiches are nothing but processed deli meat. Theres empty tables but no chairs because bigger parties take them. There's no real established placement for a line to form when ordering, so you're in people's way and blocking the condiment/cutlery booth, and when you finally get to order, you can barley read the menu on the wall. If you're a local and need a place to hang with friends then maybe this would be a suitable place, but I'd suggest it's not worth going out of your way. read more
