After finding a stray kitty sitting outside my apartment door for an entire week, I had to bring her in and give her a bath. Because I have an older cat that I've had for three years, however, I knew I had to get the kitten checked out and fixed before even thinking about allowing her to stay home with me. Upon some research and advice from some of my co-workers, I found out about Emancipet. And HOLY HELL. I requested an appointment, and by the next day I had a response. It would be only two days before their mobile service would be running through San Marcos, and they set up an appointment for me. I had my boyfriend drop her off at 8, because I was busy with school, and he called me to tell me everything they wanted to do. Little Willow got a full checkup, rabies shots, flea and tick medication, and she was spayed all by 5 PM. When I picked her up, the veterinarians gave me wonderful advice on assuring she was comfortable at home afterwards. The entire bill rounded out to $109, which to my experience with my other cat, would have been 5X as much at any of my normal facilities. $20 of that was actually a donation, too. When I brought kitty home, she was very loopy and adorably drugged, obviously. However, the next day, she was more lively and more cuddly than she had been since the day I took her in. Her scar is healing wonderfully and I can tell that the spay incision was done very carefully and professionally. All in all- Emancipet was my life saver. I now can take in this 6 month old kitten I found outside my door with no fear that she will infect my older cat with anything annoying or fatal, and it didn't cost me nearly as much as it should have. I am very impressed with the service and professionalism of this company. If you need to get a pet checked up or fixed, this is the place to go. Just remember to give a donation- because they truly do deserve it. read more

I took my 6 month old kitten here to be spayed. I dropped her off around 8am and she was ready to be picked up by around 2pm. She has since healed perfectly. Great experience! read more

Well stray cats find me wherever I live.. I think it's a calling to be some crazy cat lady.. . but after getting couch bound for a week. .. a 4 month old kitten followed me everywhere.. and just cried .. . so I took on the task of taming him(he was a feral one).. once he was tame.. I needed to fix him, get the rabies, de-wormer, revolution for fleas, and even a blood test to make sure he wasn't positive for all the goodies that feral cats can get. So I took em to Emancipet. all those things included cost me 80 dollars plus the 5 I donated to them just because they freaking rock. They even cleaned my cat and his crap that was all over the carrier (Rudy hates cars).. Honestly this place is amazing. You might want to ask off work because you have to take the cat in at 8. and pick it up at 5, the sooner you get there the less you have to wait. read more

Emancipet is a great option for dog needs. Friendly, helpful (sometimes really busy though).

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! We needed to spay our puppy before she had her first heat, and Emancipet was quick. We made an appointment, and they emailed us the paperwork that same day. LOCATION: Eek, this place was hard to find for us. For some reason, all of the area around Airport is poorly mapped on Google Maps! If you're coming from west of 35, go down Airport Blvd and turn left on Levander (even though directions say Airport Service Blvd), and it will be the last entrance before the Do Not Enter sign. Emancipet is hidden way down the trail! SERVICE: I'm really glad I found this place for my pup! We needed to get her spayed, and our vet was too expensive. Emancipet did a great job with checking us in and making us feel very comfortable leaving our pet there for the day. We dropped her off around 8:30AM, and she was ready to be picked up by 5PM. PRICING: It's all on their website, and I think it's well worth the price. You can buy the optional cone for $10, a nail trimming for $4 (or it might have been $5), dissolvable stitches for $3, and extra medicine for $5. They actually threw in the nail trimming for free since we purchased the medicine. We also got her microchipped for $15. So cheap! They also tattoo your pet after spaying/neutering, so if that's a problem, you can always talk to them about it. read more

A month ago we found an emaciated dog wandering our 'hood. We took her to our vet and found no microchip and efforts to find her owner were unsuccessful. We decided that instead of sending her off to certain death at Town Lake, we would get her spayed and attempt to find her a home. We have several pets already, and I had heard of low cost spay and neuter at Emancipet so I booked our little fosterpup an appointment and off she went. Because of the circumstances, Emancipet picked up some of the tab and for less than $100 we had the sweet little pup (who we call Ruby) spayed, heartworm tested with several months of heartworm meds, flea prevention, given all of her shots, microchipped and licensed. I don't know if we could have afforded to do all of that had we taken her to our regular vet, so thank you Emancipet! Bottom line: Emancipet rocks and is doing the work of saints by having a significant impact on reducing pet overpopulation in Austin. Go Emancipet go! read more

I have never felt so compelled to write a Yelp review before. This organization is incredible and I am so very grateful for all that they have done and continue to do for my sweet puppy. After bringing home my dachshund in February, it was a neighbor who told me about Emancipet and the services they offer at low costs. I took Taylor, my puppy, the next weekend to get his first shots and have never gone anywhere since and don't plan to. My favorite part of Emancipet is how kind, friendly, and genuinely nice all the employees are. Lines and wait times can be long if you don't arrive early, which means everyone is really busy and has a lot do. This does not change their positive attitudes and the way they're so sweet to my dog and ALL dogs every single time no matter who we meet. A few days ago I took Taylor to get neutered and brought him to one of the Mobile Clinics on a free day. When I dropped him off for his surgery, I was told by a super nice and smiley guy that they'd take good care of him and they sure did. I came back later and everything was so organized and every person there had such a good attitude. I even commented to the same guy, Dan, from the morning (who also brought my dog back out to me) that he seemed perfect for his job and I really meant it. I felt like hugging him for taking such good care of Taylor but forced myself not to because that would have been weird. I'm just feeling really lucky right now to have found Emancipet for not only providing such wonderful care but for doing so at such a low cost that allows me to make sure my baby boy stays healthy. Thank you thank you thank you! read more

When I was grad student who needed to provide care and vaccines to my aging dachshund, Emancipet was so there for me! I'm so grateful that Emancipet provides affordable vaccines and spay/neuter services to our fur bebes. I'm so impressed with the level of care and attention Emancipet provides to vaccines and spaying/neutering. They deserve your business and support! read more

So after much debate and back and forth, I decided to adopt a four legged baby. Emancipe+ was highly recommended by many many people. Getting there was the hardest part. I missed the turn twice and ended up loopy looping around. Once there, though, the staff was friendly and fast. The money I saved by going there allowed me to slide them a small donation for the great service they provide the community. Prices are affordable and they offer a wide variety of services. I understand why people may think that the tattooing process is cruel, but it plays an important role. Some animals may not show the spay/neuter scars, so the tattoo ensures that the animal, if lost and brought to a shelter, doesn't have to undergo they procedure again. I would recommend Emancipe+ to any animal owner and will happily return here for future needs. Woof! read more

Emancipet has truly emancipated my giant pitbull, Bruce Willis. I recently acquired Bruce Willis from a friend (2 days ago) and he needed to be neutered ASAP. I contacted both Emancipet and Animal Trustees of Austin yesterday to get an appointment to get him neutered. Emancipet scheduled him for a day later (today)! Animal Trustees of Austin scheduled ol Bruce Willis for two weeks away. Bruce Willis cannot wait that long to get his balls chopped off. Emancipet was clean and lovely. Their staff were great, and they, unlike anyone else, could say Bruce Willis' name without cracking up every time. Truly Impressive. Bruce Willis was in and out of surgery in 3 hours, along with all of his vaccinations and a free microchip. I couldn't believe how affordable it was for EVERYTHING ($120 including heartworm test, neuter, vaccinations and a giant head cone). We gave them an additional donation. Their staff work hard and tirelessly to prevent other animals from being killed. I can't say enough! Bruce Willis and I are thrilled with Emancipet! read more

I bring my dog and two cats here, and have recommended EmanciPet to all of my friends. They offer low-cost, quality service and make it possible for me to own pets and keep them healthy. Austin is so lucky to have an organization like this. My experience with EmanciPet is as both a client and a volunteer. As a client, I have enjoyed their services for almost three years. I've had two cats neutered here and accompanied a friend to get her foster dog spayed at their free clinic. The customer service on my first visit left a little to be desired, but the quality of health care and the low prices kept me coming back. I'm happy to report that after the first visit, all my encounters with the staff have been very pleasant. I now work as a volunteer in the clinic and can attest to exactly how amazing every single staff member is. The vets and techs are extremely competent. And everyone there loves your pets, I promise. I've seen the care that each animal receives and it's exactly what I would want for my own animals. The waiting room can get a little crazy and the wait can be long. Please try to remember that there are sometimes upwards of 50 animals receiving surgery and that there are tons of animals who are receiving vaccinations or testing...believe me, the staff is getting to you as quickly as they can! Lastly, you CANNOT beat the pricing. All shots are under $15. Flea and heartworm prevention are rock-bottom cheap. If you go to your regular vet for these services, consider switching to EmanciPet. The volunteer coordinator told me that EmanciPet actually loses money on each surgery they perform because they charge such low prices, and they make that money back on the vaccinations and medications they provide. Support EmanciPet and get your vaccinations here! N.B.: It can be really hard to find EmanciPet. Their stationary clinic is located in the Department of Health & Human Services complex, but there's no signage outside indicating that they are within. Once you enter the complex though, there are signs pointing the way. Just look for the Health & Human Services sign at the address listed and you'll find them. read more

Never go to Banefield again. I love Emancipet and the wonderful people that run it! Thus far, I have had two experiences with Emancipet. The first time, I went to their mobile clinic with a friend to get free spaying and neutering for three dogs and two kittens. It was quite a long process getting there early to reserve a spot, waiting, and then finally checking in, but it was well worth it. I was also able to have vaccinations done for my pets at the same time. Everything went smoothly and I can only say that I was 100% satisfied. My second experience was at their permanent location, which has been noted to be slightly difficult to find. The problem is that (when I went there) the sign for Levander Loop is MIA and there is construction in the area. The last left turn on Airport is Levander and then you continue down the circular street until you find the building. Hopefully, I am not giving incorrect information. ): I did not have an appointment but I was in and out very quickly and I left happy! I can't be more thankful to Emancipet for their cheap(er), but exceptional services. The staff are always excellent. read more

Affordable shots and vet attention for your fur babies? I know it sounds unbelievable but, it's true. Yes you do have to wait in line and get there early because they don't take appointments but, you take the good with the bad. Come during the week and you won't wait as long. I have taken Luna here to get a couple of shots and get her nails done. I have also brought my dog Bacon here to get her nails done and recently my roommate brought his dog here because she is having puppies and needed to be looked at. Bacon is very shy and skiddish when it comes to nail clippings and there was one time where they weren't able to do it because they were afraid to cut her but, most times they are able to calm her. They even let you know what free shot and spay clinics are happening around town. You can't beat the affordability of this place and it's worth waiting in line in my opinion. The staff and clients who come in here are very friendly and my dogs have enjoyed greeting both equally. read more

Dog #1: Pssst...Hey, where's the free clinic in this town? I need some...ya know... Dog #2: Dude, Emancipet. If ya can't pay, they'll help ya out man. Dog #1: High Five! Dog #2: Huh? Dog #1: Shake! Dog #2: Ohhhhhh So, yes, as the conversation we just overheard explains...Emancipet offers No Cost and Low Cost spay and neutering services. Not only that, they offer low cost vaccines and heartworm tests and prevention. $4 a month for heartworm pills is super cheap. Not only that, the facilities are nice and clean and the staff are amazingly friendly and seem to truly like their jobs. They are animal people for sure. I'm super impressed. read more

I love this place. Dr. Ellen Jefferson went above and beyond her call of duty when I took my pet in after she seemed a little ill post-spaying. She was incredibly empathetic, attentive as she thoroughly answered all my questions, sent me online articles to review for information, called and e-mailed to check in. I was blown away. This is a great service that benefits the world of pets and humans alike! read more

Great organization. I drove all the way out to Webberville, TX for the free neuter for my pup who was 4 months old at the time. I got there EARLY-around 5:30am and I was the 5th or 7th car. This lady who showed up late started a list and put herself at the top (her and her 9 cats-no joke). The volunteer who showed up later said they cap at around 25-35 pets depending on vet/schedule. I was NOT about to have the 9 cat lady go ahead of the others who got there really early so we spoke up and pushed her back to where she's supposed to be on the list. :) They give you a waiver for free spay/neuter to the clinic if you're past the cap. I left around 8AM and received a phone call around noonish that my pup was ready to go! He was so good! Didn't even have an accident and held his bladder even though I picked him up around 4PM. I love him. Props to Dr. Cary Givens who performed the neuter and to Emancipet for an amazing cause. Anyway, my pup has healed VERY well. His scar is negligible and he's as happy as can be. He still growls when he exercises which is hilarious but at least he won't/can't get his sister preggers. read more

The only place I will take my future pets to get fixed! I actually brought my dogs in a week early thinking I had scheduled their appointments that day. I drove about 40 minutes in the pouring rain to get there so I was pretty bummed out with myself that I had done that, but the ladies at the front desk arranged for Emancipet to take BOTH my dogs in that day so I did not have to return the next week. WOW. I can't tell you how helpful it was that they did that, and that gesture went so far above and beyond my expectations. The woman I talked to directly prior to the procedure was also very nice and even though I was stressed about bringing him in she made me feel very comfortable leaving my dogs in their care. The procedure was done well, efficiently and at an incredibly low price too!! One of my dogs had a condition that left one of his testicles up in his kidneys, and all the other vets I had talked to about getting him neutered had quoted me $500 or more. Emancipet only charged me $121 for the procedure, his rabies vaccine, his pain killers, his micro chip and clipping his nails! Talk about an incredible deal. The cherry on top was that on the back of his new rabies tag the engraved his name and my cell phone number. I could not be happier with this place. Please don't waste your time spending a ridiculous amount of money at a local vet to spay/neuter your dog, the folks here at Emancipet are THE BEST. Also they are a Non-Profit so please donate to help keep this great establishment up and running!! read more

Loved it! Minimal wait, maybe 10 minutes. The tech was more than willing to answer my questions and explain everything to me, which was fantastic! Services rendered and I was out of there in 25 minutes... record time! My only complaint was that they only had Tri-Heart, no HeartGaurd for heartworm preventative. My girl loves HG and won't take TH easily, so I usually spring for HG. All in all, the best experience I've had at a animal, or human walk-in clinic. Kudos! read more

There's a kitten that's been living in my backyard for a month, and I finally decided if he was ever going to live inside he needed to be neutered and have all his shots, to protect my inside cats. I went here because it's super affordable, but I was very impressed by the friendly and attentive staff, service, and the aftercare instructions that were provided. I think it was around $30 for him to be neutered, and then with about 4 shots and extra pain medication for the little guy, it only came to around $65. Note, however, that cat surgery here is a bit cheaper than the canine equivalent. My cat healed up quickly and with no complications, and I would definitely use these guys again. The only downside is that it's stupidly hard to get the turn-in to the compound. I missed it dropping him off AND picking him up! read more

Dr. Jefferson is the founder of Emancipet and I cannot speak highly enough of her or of the mission of Emancipet. From what I understand, there has been a notable impact on the number of stray animals turned into TLAC from the zip codes they serve. It's sort of a pain to get out there, but I have been very impressed by the care to cost ratio and just overall what they do. read more

I love Emancipe+ and I'm so glad they are around. It's a huge relief to know I can spend around $20 here rather than $100 at the vet for a couple of shots. Go to Emancipe+ and if you can, toss a few extra bucks their way while you're there! read more

I *heart* Emanci Pet. They have been my go to place for spay and neuter for several years, I have mainly had cats done here but I did get my mom's dog neutered here. I have never had an issue, they are always upbeat, and really seem to enjoy what they do. When I first started using them it was because I needed the low cost of the service, I continue to use them for the low cost, but now I do it because I can make a donation of the difference from what my regular vet would charge for the same services. Which helps them keep doing what they have been doing so well. Stopping useless animal deaths before they ever have a chance to happen. read more

So you're telling me I can spend $20 on my kitten's vaccines here at the Wellness Clinic rather than taking her to the regular vet and spending $100? If you think I won't drive 15 miles out of my way to save $80, you're wrong. The one critique I have is that the experience was pretty unorganized. Inside the clinic, the cats, dogs, and people all go into the same small waiting room... with just three large breed dogs it starts to feel claustrophobic. My kitty didn't appreciate it too much, but she survived. The thing that really gets me though is they don't seem to really review exactly what vaccines your animal needs. They trust that you will know and ask for whatever you need. I had her paperwork in my hand showing what she'd had before, but no one seemed to interested in looking at it and telling me what she needed from there. So I just had to pick what I thought she needed and hope I was right. Luckily, I was, but just be careful with that! The technician takes your pet to the back room while you stay in the waiting room - I think it might be easier and faster that way. Then you pay and you're done! I personally think that Emancipet is doing a wonderful service to the public here. At the wellness clinic you can get all your vaccines at a discount, plus your wellness meds for WAY cheaper than the regular vet or anywhere I found online. read more

The Vet I spoke too was completely dismissive of my pet's medical diagnosis from a recent surgery and insinuated that the underlying medical condition was caused by "stress" and not the blood work data I had gotten for my cat. She also insinuated that me, fulfilling my rental agreement stipulation of getting my cat a rabies vaccine once a year (or else my lease agreement is broken), was the cause of the stress. She then went on to lecture me about how I was mistreating my pet. I tried calmly to explain that with all do respect, that was in complete contradiction to what a previous veterinarian had told me and that her lack of a specific reason for my cat's alleged "stress" was worrisome to say the least. I sincerely don't understand how she got employed here and I'm sure that judging by the tone and attitude she had with me that I was not the first person she has been this arrogant towards. The fact that this clinic would allow a clearly unstable person take care of other people's pets is unacceptable and the fact that they were so quick to defend her repugnant behavior is infuriating. Don't take your animal here unless you want some woo-woo quack of a vet to tell you that you stress out your pet and then not even have a good reason why they'd say that. 0/10 Stay away from this place. Hopefully they'll go out of business for good. read more

How awesome is this place!? My fiance and I work at car dealerships and we found a filthy adorable pup running around so we immediately took her here where we were in and out under 45 mins. ALL the staff were super friendly and helpful and all the shots and medicine we had to get came out to $71. We got A LOT of stuff so I thought it was a great price. Plus if you catch them on the right day they do spays/ neuters for free! I definitely recommend Emancipet! read more

We got our cat spayed here on Thursday and they did a great job! There was just a short wait to get her checked in, and we were able to pick her up about four hours after we dropped her off. The staff was friendly and the building was clean and not too noisy. Her scar's only about an inch long and seems to be healing nicely. And the whole thing only cost $50, including the time-released 3 day pain medication shot they gave her! I would highly recommend getting your pets spayed and neutered here! read more

Meatball tested, Mom approved! Here's why: On Monday, I got online and scheduled an 8:00 a.m. appointment to get my little monster neutered for Thursday of the same week. Love when things are efficient and easy! Speaking of, the road leading back to the facility is windy and goes alongside several other buildings (like the city animal shelter) where you might think "Hmm, is this it?" But! Emancipet has taken the guess work out by posting big signs with arrows pointing the way at every curve. Again, I love when things are easy. Good work, y'all. When I walked in at 8:02 to find the lobby mostly already full with other critters, I expected the worst in terms of wait time. But! Much to my delight and surprise, I had my (very informative) consultation about 10 minutes after checking in and was out the door by 8:20. Pick-up was at 2:30 which didn't take more than 15 minutes. I didn't know this when I went in, but in addition to spays/neuters/vaccines, they also do free microchips for residents of Travis County, nail trims for $8 (I think $10 for dogs,) and, the best part, Soft Paw Application for $15!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (If you don't know what this is and have a precocious cat with claws, see below to have your life changed.*) The people who work there are extremely friendly and have a very efficient-yet-caring system. I'd expected a dump since it's a low cost facility, but it's actually quite charming. Tip: there's wi-fi in case you do wind up with a wait and need to get some work done. Thank you, Emancipet, for making it easy for this poor grad school kid to take care of her beloved fur baby. ($40 for rabies shot and neuter!) If I ever graduate and get a job, this is a place to which I will definitely pay it forward! *So Soft Paws. If you don't have the heart to declaw but still don't want your kitty shredding up rolls of toilet paper and/or climbing up curtains, upholstered headboards, pant legs, etc., (cough cough Meatball,) check these out. They're little caps (~$5 a set) that are glued over pets nails. They stay on for 4-6 weeks and virtually eliminate the scratching, but I've only done it twice because they're suuuuuch a pain in the arse to put on. Like, even worse than trimming nails. Just last weekend I told my boyfriend, "Gee I wish I could pay somebody to put Meatball's nail caps on." Ta-da! It is so worth my $10 to let somebody else more skilled than I deal with it. Meatball will back for many kitty manicures in the future. read more

Ok so the first time I came here to get my cats vaccinated I had a wonderful experience. The staff was so nice and I got right in, and I know its supposed to be the most affordable place to go. But recently I went with my cats over the summer, and they said it was going to be a 2 hour wait. They don't take appointments. I understand they can't control the demand, but I don't have time to sit and wait 2 hours for an appointment. And I don't want to put my cats through 2 hours of dogs barking at them and sniffing them. So due to this, they have lost me as a client, but they obviously seem to be doing fine without me! read more

I was really impressed with this place. It was easy to find, the people were friendly and knowledgeable, it was fairly quick and painless (for me at least, for my cats - I'm not so sure). So grateful you guys are here. We had three emergency vet visits in the last three months (different cats). We brought our oldest cat into AVES which is our go to emergency clinic, for what we thought was an abscessed tooth. We were given antibiotics and pain meds until we could get into see a dentist. The diagnostics alone were quoted between $1200-$2000, not counting any work that needed to be done. I love the care I get from AVES, but this was out of the question for us. The last emergencies had bled out what savings we had. Made some frantic phone calls, and got into the surgical clinic for an evaluation about a week and change later. Finally found out what was going on. I am really humbled by how much the staff cares. Everyone is there because they love animals and it really shows through. The clinic is a little humble, and understaffed, but the care is top notch. Once we've financially recovered from these pet medical bills, our family is going to make Emancipet our primary charity donation. They were there for us when we couldn't afford care, and we want other folks to have the same access we did. read more

Great service and caring staff. Austin is lucky to have this low cost pet care.

My husband and I just adopted a kitten and already have two dogs who cost us a ton at the vet office. When someone recommended Emancipet for our new family members needs I was a little wary since we were about to take our kitten to have shots and a surgical procedure done out of a mobile business. (We did not go to the actual office.) They are INCREDIBLE! Thank goodness people cared enough to create Emancipet. Everything was so affordable, easy and friendly! They told us they were surprised to see us the second time because they explained most people don't come back to finish the rest of the shot rounds and spaying procedure needs after an initial visit, Yikes! Made me feel like a great pet owner though. Really, don't neglect your animals health needs when vaccinations are readily available at a more than affordable cost with friendly and professional people at Emancipet! read more

I can't say enough good things about Emancipet. I had my dog spayed there a couple years back and was pleased with how doting and gentle the staff was - all while still managing to be efficient and timely. While they did a great job with Chuy's surgery, I'm even more grateful for the work they do in the Austin community. They offer free spay and neuter services to underserved zip codes and do a tremendous amount of work aimed at helping Austin to become a city that doesn't have to euthanize unwanted pets. I love that they're tackling the problem at its root (avoiding pet overpopulation) rather than simply addressing the symptoms (the inevitable societal need to house and ultimately euthanize un-adopted animals). Thanks, Emancipet! Keep up the good work. read more

I have been going to Emancipet for 9 yrs. I have 4 dogs and they have always been well cared for. Yesterday 11-4th- 14 I brought 2 of my dogs in for Rabies and Pravo. Typical office visit. The female doctor that attended my dogs was to afraid to even touch them. Look at their ears teeth etc.. she injected my poor dogs so quick that they let out a yelp. My poor Mali poo vomitted blood and our way home. Today she is limping and can't walk . I gave her the heartworm med and she threw it up. She can't seem to eat orwalk. I don't think I should have been charged for 2 office visits for both my Mali poo and wiener dog if a doctor is too afraid to exam them. I will not return to that location. Too bad it's been 9 years of great service until she came. Sad read more

I highly recommend Emancipet for general vaccines and spay or neuter operations. We got our dog neutered here and the process was very easy and convenient for busy schedules. They offer the best service and truly love the work they do from what we have seen. The only negative is that you have to arrive super early because of the low cost services but worth it if you're on a budget and have the time. Just get there at least one hour before opening. Worse case scenario, they offer text alerts if you want to leave after checking in until your turn. read more

I am so impressed with the amazing work emancipet does for the city of Austin! I've been going here for 8 years. It's best for flea and heart worm medications. Also easy to drop in to get refills!

Came back to Emancipet for my sister's dog who hadn't been to the vet in a year. He's now mine forever, and any dog of mine needs to be healthy! He needed his rabies and a couple of other things. Guess who got microchipped?! Haha, poor thing. He took all the shots like a champ, but the microchip is about the size of a grain of rice so the needle is also a lot bigger than the other needles. He shrieked, but that was the worst of it. Staff let me step outside for the whole ordeal (I'm more chicken than the dog was.) Thank you, Emancipet staff for holding my shivering dog and comforting him in a time where his own mother couldn't. Y'all are amaze balls. The wait was a little long -- but I came right after a holiday, so they were crowded. The staff was sweet and we met a lot of other crazy pet parents (including two other yorkie moms! score!) Waiting room was clean. Smelled like a typical animal place, but not in a stinky way. My advice? Come early! Leave some cash tips for the crew. They deserve it. Anyway, highly recommend!! read more
