A tech came out to diagnose an electrical issue in an 8 year old house. He removed plates off of…read morewall switches and left a mess of flecks and dust on the floor all over the house without even trying to clean up after himself. He went out to his vehicle and came back with a bid for $20,000 for whole house rewiring. He said that there was black gunk and burn marks in the holes where the faceplates are. He refused to give us anything in writing. We called two other electricians and BOTH said this is a scam and there is no way the whole house needs rewiring in any house this age. The electrician that did come out found a problem in ONE area that took about an hour to repair. There was no black gunk or burn marks ANYWHERE. He stated that a light fixture had a wiring issue and rewired that area for about $300. That was the bid from the other person as well. Please don't fall or this scam! If you have issues, get more than one opinion.

Put it in and assured me everything was fine and left. Washer was still having the same problem. His answer was to unplug it to reset it. Still broke. He came back out and put another pump on it. Still broke. Told me now I had to put a new control panel on it. If I would do this it would be cheaper to just buy a new washer, so why would I? He only gave us half our money back. The old washer is now been taken away (new pump on it and all). I feel like we were so conned. Do not give this man your hard earned money. I might as have well ran out to the street and threw 225 dollars in the gutter.

When my fridge completely conked out, and after I had a looooong talk with Sears about the situation and their opinion/repair options, I was all set to be refrigerator shopping by the end of the weekend, but I decided to call this company just in CASE there was any hope. Appointment made, and when he arrived, in literally in less than an hour and under $200, my lukewarm fridge was cooling back down, the ice maker was churning out ice, and no parts had to come from the warehouse; they were all on the truck! He met me at the house in MY pain-in-the-neck timeframe/schedule needs, he was fast, tidy, professional and competant. Plus-- who offers a warranty on their repairs in the appliance industry, where a fridge is supposed to last now like 10 years??! After spending an inordinate amount of time trying to find…read moresomeone/anyone to install my septic system to no avail, my grandson recommended Dave and he promptly contacted me and worked diligently with me throughout the whole process, including some unforeseen difficulties with the geologic engineer's initial site plan, which became unfeasible due to excessive blasting too close to the cabin. We had to go to "Plan B" (a holding tank versus an septic tank and field) and Dave was unfazed by the change in the plans and proceeded to get the job done and, as a bonus, cut down the large pine trees which had to be removed, cut them into fireplace size logs and stacked them (WOW). He also took the large rocks from the blasting for the holding tank and arranged them beautifully on my property facing the road and landscaped the area where the holding tank was installed. Dave also put in a new culvert for me and my neighbor. Dave is conscientious and meticulous and does a wonderful job at a fair price. If I could give Leading Edge Excavation 10 stars, I would have.

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. I had a new water heater installed…read moreduring the closing process on my new condo. I've been living here for just under a month, and I've only had hot water for about a day. The unit was not installed properly, causing it to short out and repeatedly trip the breaker. I've had this company come back three separate times to try to fix the issue. I've also hired an electrician to redo the connections, install a new breaker, and verify everything on the electrical side. At this point, I've exhausted every option trying to get this resolved. After contacting the warranty company, their response was: "If it's tripping, then there is something wrong with the heating elements. If there is something wrong with the elements, then it wasn't installed properly." On top of that, the water heater is leaking, and they were unable to fix that issue as well. Save yourself the frustration and go with someone else. I would not recommend this company to anyone. At this point, you'd probably have better luck doing the job yourself.

Essentially, it was a disaster and every homeowner's nightmare. We had to replace the entire sewer line and reroute it around the detached garage in our backyard. His team did a great job with the excavation and tremendous work cleaning up. Dwight was knowledgeable, personable, and made himself available on the weekends. I appreciated Dwight's professionalism. He went out of his way to help us from working late to fixing a kitchen pipe (that was also a problem).
