PLEASE NOTE: A+ Appliance, (303) 880-4737 is NOT the A PLUS APPLIANCE listed in Aurora or Lakewood nor has any afflilation with the company. How I know, i verified and found this A+ Appliance to be an excellent service oriented company unlike some companies who charge you an on-site visit charge or has bad business practices, A+ appliance does not present itself in this manner. On Wednesday, my dryer sent off sparks. Thursday morning came and was on the phone with several GE Appliance repair companies, all in which told me that it would cost me $60 to 75 for the visit just to diagnose the problem when I came across A Plus's number through doing a web search. A man named Dan picked up the phone, and when proceeded to tell him what had happened, he didn't hesitate to explain that my terminal block and possibly the cord and wires will need to be replaced. He told me what it would cost to repair it. I didn't hesitate to book an appointment with him as he worked with my schedule. He called a few minutes before arriving to tell me he was about 10 minutes away from my location. He was well prepared and brought the parts from his vehicle. He was less than 30 minutes, and the dryer is working just like before with no problems. I will definitely contact Dan in the future for any other appliance repairs. Rude and unreliable. At 9:50 this morning, the A Plus fellow said that he could come over after he finished his next job, which was near my house, probably between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. I waited at home until noon, and then called to see when he would arrive. Much to my surprise, he said that he couldn't fit me in today. When I asked why he hadn't called to let me know, he tried to blame it on the fact that earlier I had had to reschedule our appointment. Yes, I had called to reschedule, but after that, he said he would come over after his job at Yale and Monaco. There is no logic that connects my rescheduling with him not showing up or even calling to say he couldn't make it when he was the one who said that he could be here between 10:30 and 11:00. I wouldn't have minded if he had been late, but when he just blew me off without a call, and then blamed me, I had had enough. He actually asked if I wanted to reschedule. Hardly. Business must be booming when one can treat one's customers so shabbily and then expect them to still hire you. read more

In an age of deplorable customer service and product knowledge, Dan and A+ stand apart as an amazing exception. My wife and I used Dan's service to repair our dryer several months ago and Dan was prompt, professional and honest. So when my father's washer stopped working I called Dan. I actually called him on Sunday evening expecting to leave a message. I left a message and much to my surprise Dan called back in about 5 minutes. He got me on the schedule for Tuesday morning and gave me a window of 9 to 11. Well he showed up at 8:57 and promptly assessed the problem. I have called A+ for over five years. The first time Dan came out was because my Neptune washer door had locked and wouldn't open. Dan came out and showed me what to do in the future to release the door so that I wouldn't have to pay a service charge. Dan fixed my GE Profile Refrigerator about two years ago when it was on the fritz. I recently called him again about the refrigerator and he told me what to do over the phone. I did what Dan told me to do but needed to call him back because I noticed this brown stuff leaking - unfortunately it was the freon leaking and there was no hope for the refrigerator. Dan is amazing! I have used him for years now. Usually I call him and he tells me how to fix it myself on the phone. Last night, my three year old Whirlpool freezer began acting up. I called Dan this morning at 7am and he picked up on the first ring. I gave him the symptoms and Dan told me what he thought it was. He was at my house an hour later, had the freezer taken apart in 15 minutes, confirmed it was the fan motor. In anticipation of this problem, he had one on his truck! Excellent Service! My washer was sick...I had hoped it was just a belt. No such luck. Dan arrived on time and immediately determined the washer transmisson was slipping. He said not to waste money fixing it because of the cost of parts and labor. He took the time to show me the workings of the machine and why it wasn't worth fixing.I greatly appreciate his honesty. Dan made suggestions on what to look for when buying a new washing machine and suggested brands and stores that were reputable. I would definitely use again!!!! I called Dan and surprise I actually got to speak to someone. I had more than one issue on a newer fridge and old stove. Not only was Dan able to come out the next morning, but he diagnosed and fixed both in one trip. This has not been the case with other appliance places I called. In fact, I was lucky to get a call back at all after leaving a message with the other places. This company is an excellent service provider. I called last evening when I noticed that my refrigerator was not working. Dan talked with me for a few minutes and said he could schedule a repair appointment the next morning. He was here as he promised, was professional, timely, friendly, and my refrigerator is fixed. My fridge was out when I came back from vacation - of course it was late Friday night... I left a message at 7:30 on Saturday morning, the call was returned in 15 minutes and he said he would be here by noon. He was here by a little after 9:00 and it was fixed by 9:30. He already had the part in his tool bag based on our phone conversation. He gave me some good advice on ongoing care and what to look for in case of problems. GREAT SERVICE!!! Completely misdiagnosed the problem with my fridge. Did a half-assed job fixing it, told me he was giving me a "great deal", then charged me just under $300 for a fridge that still didn't work. He had a personal issue with my tenant. DO NOT use him. Call Big Mike's... at least they were honest. Dan owes me $285 and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Here's how good business is done. You call Dan, tell him what's wrong, he quotes you a flat fee, shows up to replace your garbage disposal within a few hours, and does the work in 15 minutes. Call up a different company, plan on spending 3 times the amount Dan charges and plan on waiting a couple of days to get the problem fixed. Why would you call anyone other than Dan? read more

A plus did an amazing job. We called on a weekend and Dan showed up Monday morning promptly when he said he would be there. He had the problem fixed over the phone and had the part in his truck.
