The views of downtown and all the bridges is something else. You can feel like you're all alone out there, but so close to the action too. As a woman, we always have to be viligant about our surroundings, and I would not come here at night. I've been early in the mornings, when it's still a little dark out, so I usually walk up on the levees. You can see people coming from far away. I ran into an after-hours party one early Saturday, but since a flock camera was installed, I have not seen the kids out there - just people getting their fitness on, or the occasional hobo. I believe the entire trail goes about 4+ miles. When the weather cools off a little, I'll tackle the entire thing. Right now, I am enjoying the solitude and pumping up my music and dancing a little down the trail. If you hear cats screaming - it's just me singing along to Chappel Roan, so don't fear.

The hiking and biking trail takes you past some of the most scenic parts of downtown Dallas. The end of each trail has a bridge for connection. The trail is well-kept and clean, giving some of the most breath-taking views of the city. It's perfect for walking/biking and for renting a scooter. I saw plenty of people snapping photos/videos/selfies for their feed and rightfully so. No doubt you'll get some of the best views of Dallas when you're here!

I've been going to this park for over 54 years. It is still as beautiful now as it was back then…read more It is an easy 7.5 mile walk from the house or 9 miles if I stick to the formal trails. My last three trips were for this year's Memorial Day activities in support of Carry the Load. This park comes to a new life when there is a large event such as the very noble Carry the Load. Reverchon's beautiful greenery, powerful oaks and gentle rolling meadows are accented with the dark reddish sandstone walls and structures that soothes the soul. It is almost like a slice of Eden.To see this impressive park comfort those grieving as they remember the fallen military, police, fire and other first responders validates its role as a magnanimous friend. It fosters the catharsis and healing needed by many. The trip up and down from the Katy trail (which is high above) can be as challenging as you want to achieve and as beautiful as you want to view. I like the winding stone steps. There are observation terraces, conversation pits, and nature everywhere. It is shielded by quiet Dallas high rises just far enough away. The quiet serenity at night is in contrast to its vibrant life during the day. It retains the natural attraction whether it is a hand full of park goers to over ten thousand. It's great for the dogs, kids and oldtimers like me. There are some sport facilities for the team sport athletes. And of course there are the trails. There is a lack of immediate parking which I think helps retain its natural beauty . There are lots and streets to park if you decide not to go on foot. The adjoining recreation center has all you could want or need. The food and drink options are not too far away and some are world renown. If you need mental cleansing or some quiet reflection, Reverchon Park is the place to stroll.

I haven't noticed excessive issues with litter but I've been multiple times and they take really really good care of the landscaping. I appreciate that! Parking was a little different since we parked across the street, but it was free, which was a nice surprise. The restrooms were clean, there were snacks and drinks available, and since we weren't sure what to expect, we ate beforehand. The real magic was watching all four of my kids, ages 4 to 12, find something they genuinely loved. That doesn't happen everywhere! From arts and crafts to climbing, sliding, exploring, and creating, there was something for every personality and energy level. No one was bored. Not even for a minute. As a mom, I appreciated the clean environment, family friendly atmosphere, and free Wi-Fi. As a M.O.M.=maker of memories maker, I loved seeing my kids laugh, play, and discover new things together. If you're looking for a place where kids can burn energy, spark creativity, and make memories, Spark is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back!

We went during the evening, and there were lots of people out enjoying the trail. Most people were friendly, although there were a few sketchy characters and a couple of less-than-friendly encounters. Nothing major, though, and it didn't take away from the experience. Next time, I'd like to try going in the morning to see how it compares. One thing I did notice was that some people on motorized bikes and hoverboards would come up pretty quickly from behind. It would be nice if more riders used their bells or gave a heads-up when passing so walkers and dogs have time to move over safely. One unexpected highlight was seeing several parrots along the trail, which was really fun. Between the nice trail, the dogs having a great time, and the overall atmosphere, it was definitely worth the visit, and I'll be back.

You've got runners getting miles in, people out for casual walks, cyclists cruising through, and plenty of folks walking their dogs--it feels active but not overwhelming. Right now the foliage is turning and it adds a really nice touch--just enough color to make the run or walk feel refreshing instead of routine. It's one of those places where you can zone out, get your steps or miles in, and still feel connected to the city around you. Whether you're training, unwinding, or just getting outside with your pup, this trail delivers. Simple, scenic, and well thought out. Definitely a go-to spot.
