Ervin was incredibly friendly, honest, responsible and hard working. No surprises or delays during the project, including permits, which he entirely took care of. Very responsive, and he always went the extra mile to explain what he was doing and why. He gave me well informed options, and ideas for future proofing. I even remember him casually explaining how a GFCI works while I was watching him work. A few months after the work was done, I noticed one of the breakers would easily trip. I messaged Ervin to see if he could help me diagnose it, but he insisted on coming to replace it. And then he didn't want to charge me for the visit. Absolutely fantastic, can't recommend enough!

I'm writing to express how pleased I am working with Carlos at Villa Electrical Services Inc…read more Reasons he won the contract: 1. He offered me the second best quote among all offers. 2. He had a quick and professional response. He was among the first few electricians who showed up to inspect the job. He was the only one who actually opened the panel cover completely to inspect the wiring. 3. Communication was professional, smooth and fast. We discussed many details and he accepted my requests that made sense and explained why some things needed to be done in a certain way. Scheduling and performing the work: For some unfortunate reasons, I had to do this job urgently and in a limited time frame. Carlos understood the situation and worked with me to meet the timeline. He showed up on time and finished sooner than planned. Quality of the work: So organized, so clean. Absolutely no damage to the drywall even when doing so made his job a bit harder. All wires labeled, all fuses labeled. A picture is worth a thousand words, see it yourself in the attachments. I highly recommend Carlos for your electrical projects and will certainly contact him for my future needs.

He came to the job site 3 times, once for the estimate, again for the job itself, lastly to meet with the city inspector and all 3 times he arrived on time or even a bit early. He submitted his bid when he said he would and the job was completed when he said it would be. He was also the only contractor to suggest coming in from the outside electrical panel rather than the inside one. This allowed for a larger circuit to be installed, shortening our EV charge times. The quality of the work is outstanding and the final result is crisp, clean, and perfectly functional. Next electrical job we need done we will be calling Villa Electrical Services for sure.

Our circuit breaker wasn't working and the lights won't work on a holiday weekend and it was very frustrating, we were so glad to find this business to help us out. They came in and fixed the issue within minutes. It was a bad breaker and they replaced it for us right then and there for a fair price. I never had to hire an electrician before and I was nervous looking on yelp for electricians because there are so many options and it can be quite overwhelming. I wanted someone who would be reasonable and honest with the work. Family Brothers Electric were spot on. When we talked to Adrian, he was courteous and helpful over the phone which made us feel at ease. They are new to yelp, hence, the small amount of reviews made but they have been in business for several years. Tip: they do free estimates (if you already know what's wrong and just want to know how much to fix it) So glad we found a trustworthy place. We definitely recommend them and will look to them for any future electrical needs!

***UPDATE*** So a few months after I'd left the messages and…read morewrote the 1-star review, Steve called me. He apologized and explained that he'd been dealing with some family issues. He had also let go one of the workers who had done my electrical. After making an appointment to come out the following week, I sent him my list of things that needed to be fixed, detailed in my original review. As promised, Chris came out on Monday. He was on time--even early--friendly and courteous. Chris made some recommendations on how to fix some of the problems, did the work, and also saved the day with some quick thinking. He also changed out a motion detector switch to a regular one even though it was out of scope. Steve himself came out and we smoothed things over. I was happy to have the work completed quickly and even talked to him about coming back to install a new light over my dining table. Although I would have preferred the work had been done properly originally, Steve takes pride in his work and I know he felt bad that there had been issues. I understand when family matters come up, and I told him as much. However, I do think he should have left an outgoing voice message explaining that he was taking time off and would not be returning calls for an extended amount of time. I was actually about to hire another electrician to fix all the problems, so I would been pretty upset if I had done so only to have Steve contact me afterward. ***ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW*** My initial experience with Steve and John, who were recommended by my contractor, was good. However, I've now left two messages this year for Steve asking him to come back and fix small issues that came up within weeks of my moving back into my remodeled home: canned light went out, dimmer makes a buzzing noise, smoke alarm fell off my master bedroom ceiling. And the big one: fans in both baths come on when heat/air does and not necessarily when they should. I.e., when I'm showering and the bathroom steams up. I'm sure all of these problems are easy to fix, so I'm frustrated that I've left two very polite messages (one on Steve's cell phone; one at the shop) and still haven't received a call back in over two weeks. I spent more than $10k with Southwest and thought Steve and John were very professional and helpful during the remodel. I think it's very unprofessional now for Steve to not follow up on these issues that I've documented through date-stamped photos. I think it's interesting that the majority of these 5-star reviews for Southwest are from people who don't write many reviews. This can be a sign of business owners asking for favorable reviews in return for providing a discount. If you're researching electricians or any other businesses on Yelp, I recommend doing your homework. Just because the business has 5-star reviews does not mean they truly are a 5-star business.

I had a great experience with Clever Electric. I was looking to install a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery…read morebackup to complement by existing solar panels. I went to the Tesla site and found out that Clever Electric is a certified Tesla Installer. I connected with Clever (My Ngo) and a few other Tesla certified installers. I received a really good quote immediately from My. He also offered that if I took care of the permits, I could get a further reduction. Since his quote was already a couple of thousand less that the Tesla installation cost even with the permit, I decided to go ahead with him. I also realized that I could get a further $500 Tesla rebate if I could get the installation done in two and half weeks. I immediately connected with My on Sunday when I realized this and he picked up my call and assured me that he would help me as much as he can to get the installation done on time. I then proceeded to order the Tesla Powerwall 2. My came by my house and took a look at the installation. He then realized that he needed to do a lot more work than anticipated. He was very apologetic. I decided to do the permits myself. Within a week, I got the Powerwall 2. I filled in the paperwork for the permits - My helped me quite a bit there. And I was able to get the permit by mid next week. I connected with My for installation. He was very surprised that this got done so quickly. He was able to free up time for me right away. He and his helper spent 3.5 days installing it. The additional work was really substantial because he had to move a large number of circuits from one side of the house to another - going through the sub-floor, attic etc. He did an absolutely amazing job - he was very meticulous. He used absolutely high quality materials. The inspector came and unfortunately because of my misunderstanding, the battery needed to be moved about 12 inches. Note the battery is very heavy and difficult to move. My was very supportive. He came again the following Saturday with two helpers because of the weight of the battery. And they moved it by a foot. This took the better part of the morning. Finally he was there for the final inspection and made sure that the inspection went well. My was extremely supportive throughout this whole experience. His work has been of very high quality and is very conscientious. He did an excellent job with Tesla Powerwall 2 installation. He did not cut any corners even though the job was much much more than anticipated - I realized that based on the amount of time that My and his helpers spent on the job. He never once complained about the unexpected extra work. I would highly recommend My, he is very decent, dedicated person.
