You can see what you get $34 whole belly $6 more

I went for the first time at Elmo we ordered the whole belly clams they were good but the portions were VERY SMALL for the cost they could of given more the drinks we ordered were very good than we ordered the seafood platter my wife had the baked and I had the fried again for $34 each the portions were very small personally I will not be going back. There's other places that give you a lot more just as good.

A 1960s seafood themed restaurant, with prices and flavors to match Been to this place once before, and I recalled it not being very good for the price. But I decided to give them another shot, to see if they possibly improved or changed things up. Will state that they haven't changed a thing. If you recall places like bugaboo creek or U.S.S Chowderpot, you will be familar with what to expect in terms of decor. The place is dated, with lots of nautical themed decor smattered around the place. Everything is clean, but old in it's style. The server was very friendly, and we ordered a seafood cioppino, a twiced baked potato, and new england clam chowder with some seafood stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms were mostly mush, not much in the way of flavor. The New England Clam Chowder tasted a little off, so we had to return that. Turns out, they use tarragon in their clam chowder which lead to an off-taste I was unfamiliar with. The twiced baked potato was okay, but they didn't add much in the way of seasoning to the mashed potato on the inside. lead to a pretty bland bite. The Cioppino had lots of shellfish, but we were not provided a basked for the shells, so we had to use the bread basket to store the shells. The pasta was cooked well, the white wine sauce had some flavor but not enough to be notable. The shellfish was in varying states of doneness, all cooked but the shrimp were a little overcooked. The food was all cooked, but not seasoned well and very expensive for what you get. For me, I am not a fan. There's a fish market not that far away, and I think the food they put out is superior. Unless you want some dated decor, this place is a pass

Food was ok. Not anything to write home about. Asked if we had a reservation. Very pricey for what you get. 36 $$$ for a little fish two scallops two clams two shrimp and potato. Service was ok.

Crab cakes ( front) salmon ( back) and fish and chips on the side right

Delicious and great quality food, the crab cakes taste phenomenal and are very fresh with a nice creamy sauce on top. The Green beans also very great and cooked to perfection! A great portion size and came with a salad beforehand. The ambiance was nice kind of like seafood dock type vibe to it. Service was good but I felt like they took a lot of time for the server to come back with the menu/give the check/ get boxed etc.

Meh. Bread was stale. Entree was lukewarm and twice baked potato was bland. Mozz and tomato entrée didn't have basil on it? Weird.

It's a painting, an arts and craft, a bakery, and a coffee shop. Great place for friends to get together and spend quality time, with great refreshment. They make their own bread, Cheddar scallion scones, chocolate chip cookies, sandwiches, and many other items. My favorites are the different coffees and teas. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, both with the food service and the arts. What a gem to have on Main Street.

This last attempt, there was a bunch of staff around so I got the full experience. The staff were very friendly and informative. They explained the pottery painting side of things to anyone painting a piece. They had a wealth of knowledge in that regard, explaining how to get the best results for each medium. I wasn't here for the pottery, I was here for the food. So they sat at a 4 top and let me go up to the cafe to order. The menu is basic, egg sandwiches, avocado toast, French toast, coffees and lattes. Some fresh baked pastries available but mostly simple dishes. I opted for their French toast latte and an egg sandwiches with bacon. Also got a cinnamon roll that was baked that morning. Food came out after a few minutes. Not speedy but not slow. Took some pics and dug in. There's a fundamental rule that I follow when reviewing. "The flavors on the description need to match the flavors of the dish." There's sandwich did this exemplary. The garlic aoli had a strong but slightly acidic bite to it, which helped the arugula's bitterness. The egg was fluffy, the tomato grilled and salted, and the bacon perfectly crispy. The soft home made bread was almost too soft, compressing down to nothing after each bite. If anything, the bread could've been grilled to give it a bit more structure. But besides that gripe, it's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The latte, that's what took the star off. The coffee is giv beans, so a good quality product. The problem was it was extremely, overbearingly bitter. With a French toast latte, you'd expect the sweet to counteract the bitter. But nope, the sweet came from the cold foam and the concentrated coffee at the base led to straight sips of cringingly bitter coffee. After mixing the cold foam into the coffee, it became more bearable. But the damage was done by that point, and my pallet was shot. Had to dump most of the coffee. Overall, it's a neat place to go to. It's rare to have activities along with good food, and the staff there make the experience great. Not too much a fan of the specialty coffee, but the food is well worth the price. A solid food choice for Main Street.

The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy

This made it pretty easy for us to review the menu and zero in on what we wanted, which was four items. Our server Anca was very pleasant and professional, and enhanced our entire consumer experience. We went with a small container of freshly made egg salad, a small container of grilled shrimp ($5), Meatballs with rice and vegetables ($13), and a frozen eggplant lasagna ($9). The egg salad was very good. Just egg and Light Hellman's Mayo and nothing else. It was a pretty much perfect batch, and a good convenient value at $5. The shelled "tail-on" grilled shrimp were five large nicely seasoned pieces that were delicious. We split the Asian Meatballs dish for dinner tonight. It was a big 19-ounce container with three Asian meatballs, rice, broccoli florets, and julienned carrots, squash, zucchini and scallions. A half portion was plentiful, the meatballs were excellent, and the sweet chili sauce added a zippy finishing touch. If the eggplant lasagna is half as good as the meatball dish, I'd be very happy. Some of the other intriguing listings we saw on their menu were Balsamic Shredded Beef, Turkey Cutlets with Fontina, Garlic Parmesan Flounder, Spanish Rice with Chicken & Shrimp, soups, salads, and desserts. Definitely worth your while to stop in and check out their grab and go goods.

So we came back. Here's why! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right in downtown Manchester, CT is this gem. It's near the "beginning" if you're coming from the highway. There's no private parking, but there's plenty of free parking on the street and huge parking lots around the back. That's one reason I love Manchester. If we're coming out here to spend money, don't charge us to park our car so that we CAN go spend money! Lol. Inside is like a bit of a tavern and nothing out of the ordinary. It's a little on the small side so just make sure you get here! Service: Alexis behind the bar took care of us both times and she was awesome. She no longer works there and has moved on to owning her own business so we wish her the best! Food: Wings, wings, wings. Every flavor. You need to have them all. Jerk, Parmesan Garlic, Buffalo Rub, Candied Bacon Rub and Everything But The... I'm so serious when I say this. These are probably the best wings in Manchester. Aside from the flavors themselves, the CHICKEN ITSELF has a smokey flavor that also delivers a crispy skin and juicy inside. My goodness they were so incredible, but my favorite was Everything But The... it's basically Everything Bagel seasoning, but you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Value: Get here for happy hour! 3:00pm to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. I actually hate those happy hour hours, 'cause like... don't most people get off at like 5:00pm?! Lol. Regardless, 8 BIG JUICY wings will run you $12.00 and that's actually a VERY good deal for what you get. In conclusion, I loved it here and will come back over and over. Not only is this place awesome, but there is a mission statement created by MACC Charities when they launched their social enterprise, Bistro on Main, their predecessor. They set out to support, train, and provide opportunities for individuals with barriers to stable employment. By offering a jobs training program that would help them develop employable skills. What does this mean to them? While they are not the same organization, they have set out to continue the mission of doing good within the community while also offering an enjoyable dining experience. The goal is to continue to collaborate with those organizations who provide support for individuals in our community with the most need, such as MACC Community Kitchen or similar educational programs. Ambiance was nice as well, nice wooden tables, rustic modern vibe, definitely got the upscale bar vibe going. Pricing isn't too bad, drinks are reasonable and food prices reflect an upscale bar atmosphere. A few issues though, minor and major - parking is a pain, good if they're busy but parking lot not big enough and the area isn't conducive to street parking. Never a fan of stressing about parking. Bigger issue is the food quality is very mediocre. Chicken tenders looked worse and cost more than raising canes (and weren't crispy nor full of chicken). Nachos lacked enough topping - it was like 80% chips... you can't skimp on the cheese... or the meat. Fries weren't that crispy... wings were decent but definitely not enough blue cheese for a double order (should have brought 2 or 3, not just 1). Would like to come back here if the food can match the rest of the venue.
