My doctor was great. No complaints there…read more My co-payment was $30. I paid it with a credit card (I tried to give them cash, but they don't accept it). Days later I had remembered I had a Health Savings Account debit card. I decided to call Billing, have them refund the $30 on my credit card and charge the HSA debit instead. The transaction seemed easy. Come to find out, they never refunded the $30 on my credit card, and instead of withdrawing $30 on my debit card, they withdrew $200. I've been calling and using the portal for two weeks - simply requesting Billing to call me. The folks on the portal said Billing would call, but they haven't. Two weeks of silence. My only recourse was to file a report with the Beverly Police Dept. They'll follow up with the NSPG or the Salem Court will. An abysmal experience. If anyone has Scott Sperling (Mass General Brigham, Chair) and/or Anne Klibanski (Mass General Brigham, CEO) contact info....please share it. I want them to know my experience.

I live two hours away and I've chosen here despite the commute because there is no medical center near me that gives the treatment I need so I am, for lack of a better term, downright desperate. After having a prescription given to me almost a year ago, I have been calling for MONTHS to get it authorized by the doctor I saw and nothing productive has happened. Nothing. I've been hung up on twice before, I've been bounced between two offices multiple times to try and reschedule an appointment, I have stated the urgency of how I need what I am there for and still nothing has been done. My experience here has been disgustingly bad and I would urge anyone who is looking for this as a possibility to try other options because it is abhorrent how hard it is to get anything accomplished here. And this isn't even coming from just a solely outside view, I am in the medical field myself. I am extremely disappointed.

If you are struggling with suicidal ideation or mental health concerns- DO NOT GO HERE. I am a…read morehuman trafficking survivor with severe CPTSD. I was treated like a dog, and lesser than the staff- especially by the security guard Lucas (Fabio). They did not even allow me to call my federal agent I spent 5 days being lied to and neglected without sunlight. Mentioned security guard was anything but trauma informed and should not be working in that unit let alone that hospital. I came in for safety and left more suicidal that I came in with. People started calling missing persons reports on me until the Deputy of Beverly PD & Beth Israel's PD came to make sure I was still alive as they wouldn't let me call my agents. How I was treated was inhumane and I left with a boxer fracture. Even the representative from Beth Israel told me "if you ever need to go to the hospital go to Salem". *mic drop*

There were no ED rooms or even hall beds, so my mom got her vitals taken, an IV put in to draw blood, and then sent back to the waiting room for the duration. Same deal with all the other patients. The big TV was on the Discovery Channel equivalent of COPS the entire time so the room was stuck with a 50 inch TV with a bunch of aggressive cops and prison guards yelling at people and chasing down and tackling people on body cam footage - not exactly soothing or good for a room of people who essentially couldn't leave. The ED tech did her absolute best to manage expectations, but we never saw a doctor. We saw a PA 2am who basically agreed that the instructions we got from the on-call neurologist six hours earlier were .... fine. If we wanted to wait and get a CT scan, it would be easily another 4 hours. So we gave up and went home, untreated. Their Press Gainey score in the email request for review the hospital sent was conveniently worded so that there was no way to say "wanted to be seen by a doctor and never saw one."

I've been going to Dr. Ellis at Family medicine for about 6 years now, and this office has very…read morenice doctors, nurses, and administrative staff. I believe they are all affiliated with Beverly Hospital and that network. They always call to remind me of my scheduled appointments the day before they occur, in case you need to reschedule, the staff is very quick at responding when you call with a question or need to get a referral or documents sent to a specialist, and they dont leave you waiting around forever. Scheduling physicals are a little annoying, as you cant get one immediately, the appointments are usually a few weeks to a month from when you call (unless you schedule one for a year from the day you come in for one. Although, if you are sick, they will see you immediately - the same day, unless you call late in the afternoon, then they will have you come in the next morning. My doctor is very good about checking in with me about my health, progress in weight loss, nutrition, or other concerns, and when i had my pap done, letting me know about various womens health solutions available (birth control etc). I recently had a medical emergency and the office consistently called me to make sure i was ok, and to follow up on appointments with specialists to see their diagnosis. It was not cumbersome or confusing since the staff always gave me referrals to doctors who accepted my health insurance and were local. I've seen patients of all ages here. If you need a new primary care physician who looks out for you and is great at giving you important health info (not simplistic, condescending statements), Family Medicine is a great office to go to.
