I was at the Salt City Market and wanted to try some of the new vendors. The new taco booth looked interesting and they had some options without getting a full meal or large plate. I tried a Chicken Street Taco. It was a very small grilled flour tortilla filled with shredded chicken, chopped onions and cilantro (if you choose). They serve it with a piece of lime and a Verde sauce. It tasted nice and fresh and I'll definitely be trying more items. The street taco was maybe a 4" tortilla, but it was only $3. read more

Finally got the chance to eat here. It opened back in May and I've been meaning to grab a bite. Service here does take some time, so it wouldn't be my first choice if I was super hurried. They're still relatively new though, and the food was worth the wait. The flavor was great. I had the vegetarian tacos which were loaded with cheese, beans, and veggies. The cheese was melted exactly right and was so rich, stretchy, warm, and tasty. The shells were crisp, and the fillings were juicy and well-seasoned. I also got the hot cheetos elote cup, which was tasty. An ideal serving size I think. If you're in Salt City and in the mood for a taco, check them out! read more

The tacos where so good here I was surprised I had to go all the way to Syracuse to find a really good taco although there are good taco places in Orlando I was surprised by how good the tacos were at this restaurant it's in like a community get together spot there's tons of restaurants in there it's everything you choose from Soul Food to Thai food I decided to try the tacos at first I tried the beef tacos which were really good the meat was flavorful and I also tried the shrimp tacos which were just as good if you're ever in Syracuse stop by the tacos here are worth checking out read more

ElleRae's Taco joined this Salt City Market this year (2024) and this was my first visit! The line waiting to order showed me the popularity of this business. I had two birria tacos (one chicken and one beef). Both were delicious! My colleague got a quesadilla and it was huge - enough for two people. I like everything about Elle Rae's - menu, location, prices, and service! I highly recommend it! This is a wonderful addition to the Salt City Market. The Market has plenty of seating, lots of variety, and a great view of the positive changes happening to downtown Syracuse. If you haven't been, you should go- soon!!! read more

I really like the addition of a taco vendor to the Salt City Market. It really helps round out the diversity. I did try their birria tacos at the pop-up event and thought they were tasty for the price. I went back now that they are a permanent vendor to try their street tacos. I got the meal with two tacos, rice and beans, and a drink. The passionfruit agua fresca is refreshing and not too sweet. I was able to choose one chicken and one beef taco. I found the chicken to be a bit bland and not as juicy as the beef. Unfortunately, the tacos are quite small and the tortillas falling apart. Usually for street tacos I see two tortillas being used which helps cradle the juicy meat nicely. Not a lot of onion and cilantro and I feel the salsa verde lacked flavor. The cashier was perfectly nice but nothing wowed me about the service. read more

Summary= a good place to eat, friendly staff, don't go if you are In a hurry. There was only one person ahead of me ordering when I arrived; only 2 people working. After the other customer ordered, the Person behind the counter went into the kitchen to get it started; about 5 minutes later, She came out to take my order and loaned me a pager. She was exceptionally friendly/pleasent. About 20 minutes later the pager beeped and I got my tacos which were delicious. First off, the staff here are unbelievably kind. This was my first time here and they answered any questions I had about what to order including giving me a small sample of Aquafresca. The sample sold me! I ordered the strawberry Aquafresca and it was just the right amount of sweet and refreshing, almost healthy-tasting juice. I have to say I've eaten a lot of tacos in my life and this is by far my favorite. The tortilla was toasted and layered with cheese and the meat was cooked well and flavorful. New Mexican spot in Salt City. I enjoyed their shrimp birria taco. The consome was a bit a more oiley than I'm used to. The street corn was very mediocre. I feel like places struggle to do this dish well. It was lacking mayo but smothered in topping. They need to tweak their balance a bit and possibly roast the corn first. read more

Excuse me ma'am I'm sorry if I'm bothering you I just want to order some food and pay for it. Do you really need to stare everybody down? Slammed the orders on the counter and look at us sideways when we ask for utensils or napkins.
