I was a regular a few years ago when Ellen's was Miracle Nails. I needed a pedi badly so I checked here only to find the ownership change BUT Han, the former owner still worked here. I made an appointment for Han and was so happy to see her. She is great with pedicures and her massages are so relaxing. Han is very meticulous and even changed my polish choice because she felt my choice wouldn't last as long. Han is so sweet and patient. She used to do my mother's mani-pedi. She was and still is so caring. Anyway, everything was great with Han. The only downer, I was going to use my credit card to pay, but their machine was down, connection or something. Wish whoever answered my phone call told me their credit card machine wasn't operable so I would've been prepared or gone somewhere else. It's a good thing the bf put a $50 in my back up. read more

My nails were in desperate need of a fill and I had no time to make an appointment for my regular salon. I was a hour early for work and Ellen Nails is right down the road from by working place so I decided to give it a shot. I walked in at 10 AM and was immediately greeted and serviced. The nail technicians are very friendly and helpful. Its always a little intimidating to me when going into new nail salons, especially since I had total blinged out nails that needed to be removed. I'm so incredibly pregnant right now and a pedicure is my only source of happiness!! I was waiting for an appointment down the street when I remembered seeing this little shop. They were able to accommodate me as a walk in, did a thorough job, were super friendly and the shop including bathrooms were very clean! Jackie was so sweet and did and extra special job cause she knew I wouldn't be able to leave the house for at least a month after I delivered--soooooo sweet! I came in for an eyebrow wax because I was in need of one. I forgot who did my eyebrows but don't ever go to her!! She messed up my eyebrows so bad, like she waxed off my arch and I was looking like a hot mess! So I was like fuck it, it will grow back don't even make a big deal. So I decided to get a pedicure because I thought having cute toes will balance out my fucked up eyebrows.... but nooooo the same lady that fucked up my toes fucked my toes up as well! Like I came out of that shop with a busted right eyebrow and my toes looking like a 5 year old painted it. Overall, I paid $47 to look like a mess :) I even tipped, but idk why??????? I don't know what the heck happened but I got my nails done on Friday the 24th and it isn't even a week yet and my gel nails are already grown out. I kind of noticed it before I left but she left a gap between the cuticle and where she started painting my nails. It looks really bad and the polish looks uneven - which is bad considering it's gel! I understand that nails grow out but needing a fill after a week of getting your nails done is ridiculous. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would have. I took my daughter here for her birthday she's about to turn 8. I asked for a pedicure for her and myself, the spa pedicure ckama and she would get a manicure and I would get a full set. The 1st thing they did was tell me after they sat her in the pedicure chair that they wouldn't give her a pedicure all they would do was paint her nails So no hot water no nothing we'll have the experience is the experience is the spa pedicure and I wanted to do it with her so now she's done before my nails have even been painted so I didn't get to get a pedicure because my daughter didn't get a pedicure It's very hard to have an 8 year old sit there still without touching stuff for the hour and a 1/2 it would've taken them to finish my nails and give me a pedicure pedicure. So I was already very unimpressed like how do you tell someone you were not going to give them a pedicure for what reason?? And then when I went to pay they're lucky I tipped them at all but when I tipped Them only $13 the lady actually said Really that's barely 5 bucks a piece. I said a tip is something you get for good service you refuse to do half of the things we asked for and now you want me to tip you for what? I believe that tipping is a benefit or a bonus for when you go above and beyond when you do an excellent job you give good service we did not get good service it was my daughter's birthday and I couldn't even give her the pedicure that I took her to get she was done in a 1/2 an hour so I'm trying to rush to get my own nails done and we never did get the pedicures so I can tell you without a doubt I will not be back to this place And then to have the audacity to question me and say something about the tip she received it is so grossly rude I was appalled. Loved this place until my recent encounters I come religiously every two weeks. Lately it's been a hit or miss every time. Came in today my gel was cracking I just got it done was willing to pay to have fixed but instead I literally got a glob of gel on top of my nail completely uneven tacky and ugly even as I told her this looks horrible can you fix it. She not only cares about the health of my nails she does an amazing job on my nails, I love coffin shape nails and Angelique shapes them perfectly EVERYTIME. I'm so happy I found this nail salon. The salon is very clean and everyone is super nice and very professional. Lots of parking.....parking before 5pm is free, parking after 5pm is only $1 an hour! Everyone there is always so nice and accommodating (even when my 8 year old and friends want to get mani pedis). All of them do an excellent job and really great nail art, too. This was one of the few places I found that was open early and had appointments available. But it was totally not worth it. They hardly did any exfoliation and the pedicure cut was messy and the nail polish was smeared. It was not worth $30. Honestly I actually want to like this place.. it's close to my work and there nails are good . But seriously I purchased a combo package of a gel mani and pedi . I told the owner I didn't have time to do both services at that time could I come back later in the afternoon (same day) to complete the package I was purchasing. She said yes with a little bit of hesitation but nevertheless she said yes. So we agreed upon a time of 3:45 ,we'll my job got busy and I couldn't make it back at 3:45 . So I show up at 4:30 and they are busy the owner Ellen stares at me with an irritated face! So she proceeds to tell me when no time for you now we to busy! Im like ok let's work something out I could have waited or refund my money but no she says I can come back another day to complete service. So we decide on friday (my day off) I live in ewa and drive all the way to king street. So my pedi is going fine nothing no problems... But when I leave she begins to scold me about not doing service the same day!!!! Seriously..... I came back the same day!!! Don't scold me I'm the customer!! Or just give me my money back.... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE..... no customer comes to a nail shop to get scolded when she had all the control to give me my money back the same day! DO NOT go here!!! They cut my skin and made my finger bleed! After I had pulled my hand away a few times because it was hurting as she cut my cuticle skin. Very unsanitary and once your skin is cut you are prone to many infections!!! I had to have surgery because of an infection I developed after a manicure here! Such a disgrace! read more
