My friend made an appointment here on a Sunday evening for us to get pedicures. The only reason we came here was because they stay open until 5:30 on Sunday's. I was a little skeptical because the reviews weren't that great but my experience was okay. Nothing spectacular but they did a fine job. The woman who did my pedicure wasn't overly nice but I didn't find her rude either. I'm not sure why it's so hard to find a CONSISTENT nail salon! I changed salons back in July and each visit to Elle Nails was perfect until December. The gel nails only lasted 10 days my last few visits. She explained that my nails were healthy and grew fast. I noticed my nails weren't much longer but the product was not lasting as long and so I asked for acrylic nails instead and she gave me some spill about my nails growing fast. The guy who usually does my nails this last time seemed ill or something and when I asked what was wrong when he grunted he blamed it on the long day. There was gel on my fingers and one hand had round nails and the other had had square nails. The shine was also missing from my "gel" nails!! I won't be back for a 3rd disappointment! read more

I wanted to like this salon but after the first visit I will not go back. First off the guy that did my nails cut me and my gel messed up on my thumb. Had acrylic that drilled and hung so he had to file it. In an attempt to fix my gel nail it was a fail. I have indebted craters in my gel polish. Pedicure was mediocre and I was cut a little on my toe. So I have a sore finger and sore toe that I am monitoring. I just will not be back. Another bad experience at a nail salon read more

Let me start out by saying I LOVE YOU MICHELLE. However it pains my heart to say , after being a happy & loyal customer for 7yrs. I will NOT be returning to the salon. Since the new addition to the shop (I believe your husband/co-owner).I have tried to remain a loyal customer, even as I've watched the customer base, the quality of service and most of all the salon morale diminish. I have finally decided to throw in the towel and search for a new salon. My recent visit was the worst $70.00 experience at this salon. I won't go in to all the horrible details, but what I will say is....BEWARE....If you visit the salon & you DO NOT see Michelle, turn around and walk out, otherwise you'll regret it. The three gentleman(one being the co-owner) working that day were very RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL & SHODDY work on myself & my granddaughter. My granddaughter fell out of one of the rolling salon chairs while being serviced(due to the gentleman, polishing her toe nails, was more intrigued by looking at his phone than helping her with the chair. My pedicure consisted of soaking my feet in ice cold water & just getting my cuticles cut(no polish, no scrub & no hot towel or water for that matter). I asked the Co-owner if Michelle would be in the next day, he replied "No." I asked when she'd be back & his response was "she wouldn't be back to the shop." (I'm hoping that was just his rudeness & that Michelle will be returning soon), so with that response, I had to make the hard decision.... as long as this gentleman is part of the salon, I will NOT/can NOT patronize the salon. Michelle I will miss you & I will keep positive thoughts for you and your salon. I know how hard, how much, how far, and most of all how you care about your clients, but for your co-owner/partner to disregard you, what you have entrusted to him to be part of & just tear customers down and spit them out, not the vibe I want to spend my ME TIME or my money on. I was really looking forward to having a nail day with my best friend, but automatically we were separated and I was never introduced to the "tech" and I didn't get asked what I wanted. He assumed I wanted gel, which I did not, and didn't ask the shape of my nails. I wanted a checkered flag (race week) but after the strenuous looks he was giving me nails I said don't bother. I wanted a simple manicure, just one color. The guy was itching his head and face and his hands looked like he worked as a mechanic, not a tech. I wanted to ask for his license but just wanted to leave. After I told Elle (I'm assuming it was her), she offered to redo them but I didn't have the time nor wish to be there any longer. They tried to blame it on the glitter polish for getting it all over my cuticles on some fingers and missing the sides of my nails on others. I was still charged $15... really don't understand why. I shouldn't have had to pay for leaving with nothing but poorly shaped naked nails. read more

This used to be my go-to nail place on this side of town. Last 2 trips haven't been good and I won't be back. The icing on the cake was today when the person doing my nails stopped to go start another person's pedicure in the middle of my manicure ??? And the worst part is the owner is the one who gave her the idea to leave me sitting there to go start someone's pedicure. Note: she didn't just run their water or something, she actually sat down and started someone else's service in the middle of doing mine. I was there over an hour for a gel manicure, which looks just ok, some spots the polish already looks thin. Other places around town are faster, more efficient and more friendly. read more

I came in to get my acrylic nails removed and a gel manicure. The salon was not clean, and the doors were open, which let in hot air and flies. Elle removed my nails. She then chopped off my natural nails and made them square without asking me. I typically have oval nails, so I was surprised that she didn't ask what shape I wanted. She was very rough with my hands, and I could tell she was rushing. She didn't even give me a manicure. She just put on gel paint. She had her headphones the entire time while listening to music or talking on the phone. You could tell she did not care about servicing me. I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I paid for a full manicure, and that was not what I got. I typically tip very well to nail salons, but I did not leave a tip tonight at all. I will be going back to the salon on Michigan Rd where I had a much better experience. Please Elle - take a day off if you do not want to be there. It is frustrating to pay $30 for lackluster service. read more

Ok, i am here on vacation and needed my nails filled. I get my nails filled pretty frequently and most places charge $15 and if I wanted gel it will cost a lil more. I came in to this place because the one down the street was busy, one asian tech, looks like the owner and her employees were not all asians, caught me by surprise but i was cool with it. I asked the owner how much is her fill because I see her service sign it say $16 and up so I wanted to make sure. She looks at my nails and tells me all sorts of crap, and said Oh maybe $45. (I had three broken nails) but still that is unheard of. I told her no thanks and took myself some where else. Went to another place, got my fill for $25 that's including gel Polish too, and they fixed all three of my broken nails free. It's no wonder why Elle's place was pretty empty, and got a low rating for other customers. Some ppl just don't know how to run a business, you want to reel in the customer, you gotta be fair with your prices...after all there's a lot of nail salon out there, at every corner. read more

I went to this shop 2 weeks ago and I notice the owner Michelle had an attitude with me but I thought she was just having a bad day so I let it slide. Today I went to this Shop to get a pedicure and I was looking at colors to decide which color I wanted and Michelle the owner grabbed it from my hand. So I asked her was there a problem? I guess I was only suppose to choose from one color sample. SMH! When I was about to get my pedicure she sit me right next to someone else , so I asked Michelle if she could put me in another chair that was not too close to the other client due to COVID. Michelle the owner stated to me, the next time I come she will not be able to do this because they do not practice social distance in their shop, so I left without getting the service done and told her I will never come back again. The husband is very nice but Michelle is so unprofessional and rude. I will never patronize a business who is not willing to accommodate me. I will simply spend my money elsewhere, and I suggest that other customers should do the same . Business owners like her think they are entitled to your money and think you are suppose to accept their unprofessional behavior But I'm not!!! I have been going to Elle Nails for over 10 years. Michelle, who owns and manages this salon, is very professional, personable, & extremely adept in her chosen field. She makes you feel like a friend more than just a client. Prices are comparable to other salons. But Elle Nails stands out for the personal touch you get there. It's also clean and well kept. I have never had an infection or other issues that seem to plague other nail salons. She and her staff are very clean and do wonderful work! Elle nails has been our go to place since it opened about 13 years ago. My best friend and I have tried other places that are closer to our house but no one does a better job on pedicures. This is a necessity for my feet not just a treat-I have terrible callouses & ingrown toenails and no one gets them smooth like this place. Quality does vary by who you get to service you (the owner/family members are best) but even the new people here do at least comparable work to similar places. $25 for a pedicure is pretty reasonable I think & for 2 of us we were out in an hour. read more

Once she began she spent 30 "distracted" minutes performing my service. She left me a few times to deal with shop issues. And stopped a few other times to talk with other personnel in the shop.
