I gave the optometrist my glasses and a prescription saying the glasses were perfect and I wasn't sure if the prescription was correct. He chose to fill the prescription. Needless-to say, it was incorrect. He blamed the writer of the prescription saying he was trying to trick me to have anyone else filling the prescription make the wrong glasses so that I would return to him. He then used my glasses to get a new prescription. The glasses he made caused me to see double. He again blamed the old optometrist. He had me come in to see his optometrist for a brand new prescription. I was kept waiting for over 45 minutes, during which time the client scheduled after me already entered. The doctor checked my eyes but "didn't bring his equipment to test for prisms" - the one problem that the glasses he gave me had. But he promised that for the next exam I would be his first patient. The next week I showed up and lo and behold the doctor was with another patient. He told me he didn't realize he promised me the first appointment and said "I guess I need a REAL appointment book". The glasses that were then made were still wrong and made me see double. He refused to refund my money and I am still waiting for a solution. When I originally ordered the glasses I called after over four weeks because I hadn't heard from them. I was told "The glasses are here but I don't know if they came back from the maker or weren't sent out yet. I'll call you tomorrow to let you know. Four days later I called him because I hadn't heard from them and was told - Oh yes, they're ready. I don't know why you weren't called.

Additional reasons why they are awesome include: (1) You don't need an appointment to see the optometrist but you should call ahead because she is not there every day. (2) They accept my insurance (Davis Vision) and a bunch of other ones. (3) They stay open until late (9:30 PM) during the week which allows me swing by after work. (4) They understand that random things happen. For example, I lost my last pair of contacts down the drain a couple hours before I was headed out to see a play in the city. An hour later I got an eye exam, they contacted the insurance and I was walking out with a new pair of contact lens. I have also gotten an old pair of designer sunglasses fixed here when other places couldn't because they weren't be made anymore. I am definitely a loyal customer and will keep coming back!

I called the same day for an appointment and they were able to fit me in. No wait! As I entered both Ladies were welcoming and briefed me with my insurances.(which I loved, I never know which insures covers what) Social distance was a priority. Everything was clean and welcoming. The doctor was able to see me right away, I literally spent no more than 45 min with exam. She was extremely nice, easy to speak to, (some doctors get right to the point and brief) she was very thorough, explained the exams and completed the different eye tests! She took her time where I didn't feel like I was a number or a patient entering a revolving door! I inquired about colored contacts she even provided me with samples of different colored contacts! I ended up buying a pair of sunglasses with a script for distance with polarization as well. I don't get an eye check up here so I cannot comment on that. I have to go to an Ophthalmologist for other reasons. On my recent visit, I wanted the lens changed but keeping frame. I didn't realize that polarization was so expensive and not covered by my union. So every year, I am entitled to get new glasses or replace lenses but will have to pay for polar again. The downfalls are some of the prices for frames can get expensive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will continue to come here.

After waiting for an hour, I was called in and when I mentioned my need for contact lens prescriptions, I was informed that they only do prescriptions for eyeglasses. I had never heard of such a thing and I have been wearing contacts for almost 40 years. I, immediately, left, having wasted an hour, plus travel time. There is a $30 fee for missing an appointment. I wonder if I would qualify for getting $30 from them, since my time was wasted.
