I have been waiting since December 22 (it is February 26) for a pair of sunglasses. I have been a…read morecustomer for over 20 years but the new ownership leaves much to be desired. I gave the optometrist my glasses and a prescription saying the glasses were perfect and I wasn't sure if the prescription was correct. He chose to fill the prescription. Needless-to say, it was incorrect. He blamed the writer of the prescription saying he was trying to trick me to have anyone else filling the prescription make the wrong glasses so that I would return to him. He then used my glasses to get a new prescription. The glasses he made caused me to see double. He again blamed the old optometrist. He had me come in to see his optometrist for a brand new prescription. I was kept waiting for over 45 minutes, during which time the client scheduled after me already entered. The doctor checked my eyes but "didn't bring his equipment to test for prisms" - the one problem that the glasses he gave me had. But he promised that for the next exam I would be his first patient. The next week I showed up and lo and behold the doctor was with another patient. He told me he didn't realize he promised me the first appointment and said "I guess I need a REAL appointment book". The glasses that were then made were still wrong and made me see double. He refused to refund my money and I am still waiting for a solution. When I originally ordered the glasses I called after over four weeks because I hadn't heard from them. I was told "The glasses are here but I don't know if they came back from the maker or weren't sent out yet. I'll call you tomorrow to let you know. Four days later I called him because I hadn't heard from them and was told - Oh yes, they're ready. I don't know why you weren't called.

Used to be a great practice until it was sold to Luxottica and we had to leave. Optometrist was…read morevery nice. The sale may be good for the optometrists, but it's completely changed the patient experience. You notice it immediately. The staff are highly concerned about insurance before they even say hello, non-covered charges, and now try to push the sale of their own frames and lenses - which was the first time we experienced this. Front desk office staff, and the "manager," seem overwhelmed on the phone, and in-person. They can be heard complaining about patients, speaking about patients while they're on the phone and forget to put you on hold, and/or in-person. There is no upper level management accountability. Luxottica is a large company, but nobody in the office knows how, or where, to get the contact information for Luxottica. This makes it convenient for them, so that a patient may not escalate billing and/or patient questions/concerns. There is no transparency, and absent owner accountability, since it apparently all starts and ends with the front desk staff.
