Paellas are a big tradition in my family. Being of Spanish origin, my father lived in Spain in his 20s, and I did as well for 5 years in my early adulthood. We grew up loving and cooking Spanish foods, and I dare say that I am a tough critic when it comes to the beloved paella. I had Ella Paella cater my birthday celebration with my family, and we were all blown away by her cooking. The paella was so savory and authentic...the black rice was our favorite! The tapas, especially the croquetas, were absolutely delicious as well. It was such a treat to enjoy this culinary escape from our home. Moreover, Jessica and her partner were delightful and friendly. They explained what they were cooking, recipes, special ingredients, etc.  I would highly recommend Ella Paella for a unique catering event.

You would have to go to Spain to get it this good!

Matt and Patrick were extremely friendly and the food was to die for! We celebrated our microwedding in Mill Valley and I have always selected new restaurants based on yelps top reviewed restaurants. I figured this would be the best way to go to select a catering option for an area we're not local to or able to try before in person. The reviews did not steer us wrong. We would love to book again after experiencing the food and stellar service. Appetizers: We ordered the heirloom tomato bruschetta which was one of my favorites! The tomatoes were fresh and every bite was memorable! The goat cheese croquettes were to die for and the braised pork shoulder had everyone coming back for more! Dinner: I'm not a huge kale person but we had an amazing kale Caesar salad that had me hoping I could recreate it at home. I honestly don't think there was any left over! It was accompanied by the grilled antipasto platter which complemented the lasagna dinner we had perfectly! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection! We had the classic bolognese lasagna and red wine braised boneless beef short ribs for our dinner option which were gone in the blink of an eye. Dessert: To top it off, we finished with the mini amaretto panna cotta and blackberry coulis. They were as delicious as they were aesthetically appealing!

My husband and I were set on having pupusas for our wedding, and it was a surprisingly difficult thing to accomplish. From all of our efforts and research, pupuserias don't really do wedding catering, and wedding caterers don't really do pupusas, but Chef Matt pulled it off for us on a whole nother level of excellence! When we originally reached out to him, he just said that they could do it, and we were ecstatic. At our first tasting, he had already gone to his local pupusa spot to analyze the timing, and watch the whole process. He hadn't done pupusas before, but had the drive, determination, and confidence to pull it off for us. When our wedding day came, we along with every one of our guests were absolutely blown away by the quality of every bit of food and drinks that they provided us all with. He was able to find the wife of a Salvadoran friend, and her mother, to help him make them all fresh on our wedding day, on a plancha that they were able to bring. The vibe was incredible, the food was impeccable, and even the Salvadorans attending were incredibly impressed. From the yucca fries to the plantain chips, from the guacamole to the curtido, from the coffee to the agua frescas, from the salsas to the amazing service, from the compostable serving ware to the incredible bartender. People still can't stop raving. The pupusas, the dips, the black chili salsa, the coffee, just everything. Kharma worked with us relentlessly over every tiny detail to get all of it right, and everything came together SO beautifully, and went SO smoothly without even the smallest hitch. Chef Matt and the Epicurean Escape Catering team literally made our dreams come true. We cannot recommend them enough!!!

Definitely recommend the Thai quesadillas for appetizer, but every single dish was truly delightful and cooked to perfection, and the presentation was beautiful. If you're looking for a caterer who genuinely listens, offers thoughtful suggestions, and delivers exceptional service, Trends is the one. Susan even ran out mid wedding to get more ice during our extra hot day! Trends helped make our wedding day unforgettable, and we can't recommend them highly enough!

All done with extraordinary kindness, patience, and care. For apps, we chose beef quesadillas, tequila shrimp, and the salmon corn cakes. For entrees, we chose the salmon and the chicken, of which they have plenty of variety. For vegetarians/vegans, there was a stuffed mushroom option. Finally, for sides, we had risotto, polenta, and fresh vegetables. All absolutely delicious. Our first introductory meal was sooooo good, and included a rocky road brownie that blew my mind. I wasn't sure how the food would taste for the main event, adding 75 more family style servings. But it was just as fantastic. The consistency was very impressive. The best thing we can say about Trends Catering is that we wish it was an actual brick and mortar restaurant. Because my wife and I would go there at least once a week... If you're looking for catering for your wedding or any other event, we cannot recommend Trends enough :)

Today I started with ordering a one meat and a two-meat meal . . . then the internal debate started and I questioned if it was enough? So I added a sausage and a jalapeño cornbread. Once we got home the food was ripped open and scarfed down, and within minutes everyone was full -- and we had only eaten about half of what we ordered. Thank goodness no one in my family complains about leftovers, especially when it's BBQ. Quality serving sizes, robust flavor, and incredibly thoughtful service. Perfect ribs, brisket to drool over, and tender pulled pork (as I'm trying to avoid the "m" word... it definitely wasn't dry). Our sides included mac and cheese, candied yams, baked beans, and cornbread -- and the candied yams are not to be missed.

We ended up getting a brisket plate with mac and cheese and yams. We also got the pulled pork sandwhich. The brisket was a 10/10 the brisket literally falls off as you eat it!!! The Mac and cheese was also good! The yams are on the sweeter side! Service was good. You walk up and basically pick your order from their menu. Then pay for it after. Seating is limited outside but they do have a lot of indoor seating. It is a bit on the pricier side, I think we paid over $50 for both of our plates. I do wish the brisket plate came with a bit more! However bbq is in general Pretty expensive. I will say that I will be returning to try the items I was unable to try last time!
