It's an old-style gas station you'd expect to find on Route 66 that has been converted into what I'll call a local pub. It's got some simple comfort foods to go along with a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Barstool table seating inside with picnic tables outside. They've got a cornhole set outside to complete the backyard picnic feel, and I've even seen customers seated with their dogs. Very cool. My wife and I were cheerfully greeted when we walked in. We shared an order of chicken tenders and tater tots. My wife got a bottled water, and I picked a NA beer from their selection. Finally, someplace that carries an assortment of NA beers! The food took a while to come out, but this isn't a fast-food joint and it was nice to slow down and have a conversation. The chicken tenders and tater outs were hot and tasted great. Definitely a generous portion of both and I'm glad we got just one order. In summary, the place is nothing fancy. It's just a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy some comfort foods and frosty beverages. It's definitely on our "will return" list.

We have always wanted to try this place out seeing it many times off of the roadway and it looked interesting because it was a converted gas station. As we parked and approached campus gas we noted that there was plenty of outdoor seating, primarily wooden benches, tables and places to lounge around outside near the fire pit. There were people enjoying a drink and playing a lively game of cornhole. We strolled around then went inside to explore what the business had to offer in the way of drinks and maybe get something to eat. As it turned out, it was around 9 o'clock, and the lady that came out from the kitchen told me that the kitchen was closed for the evening so we weren't able to get any food at that time so we walked around inside and looked at the small things for sale and the decorations saw the nice high top bar and chairs and since things were winding down, we decided to leave instead of having something to drink. We didn't see a bartender or someone to serve us a drink anyway. So as it stands, we'll have to come back by some other time and check it out. I hear the food is interesting, casual and good and there are a lot of beer selections. I look forward to coming back another time and trying the food and drink.

Personally I like the decor. It's kind of got a kitschy almost hipster vibe, but in a good way. Disco balls, plants galore and Bob Ross constantly on TV. I think it's pretty cool and a funny laid back place to hang out. My only mild criticisms would be for the price some of the spritzes and cocktails were not quite as impressive/fancy as I'd expected. But overall they still have a good beer selection and great staff so that makes up for any other shortcomings. Overall would recommend checking out especially if you live nearby.

It seemed like a few friends of the bartender came in and started picking the music, which shifted into a mix of dance tracks and rap. The vibe fizzled out a bit after that, so we decided to head out. Overall, it could be fun little spot, we will check back later. If you're in the area and miss Hoots Brewery, definitely check out Bar Nola. I can only imagine how great their Mardi Gras party must be or Super Bowl day. On the other end of the building, there's a huge open space with beautiful hardwood floors and a another bar. It looks like the kind of venue where you could easily host a party with a live band--maybe they even rent it out for weddings or holiday events, though I'm not sure if it's officially part of the bar. There's also a large outdoor area with a TV and an uncovered bar, but since it was cold last night, everyone stayed inside. It seems like you can take your drinks out into the alleyway between the two buildings. Definitely a beautiful area to be when the weather is nice.

The drinks at the bar are also really good. I will also note the ambiance is amazing, I love the way they decorated everything and I feel like it's really fitting for such a historical place, everything seemed very niche and clean which I admired. I will say the service from Lauren Stone was amazing. She was great, she was very kind and held conversation with myself and my boyfriend and recommended and made some really good drinks. The service is really what tops the overall experience. If someone is very genuine and upfront, there's not much that they can't come back from.
