One of the only bars I enjoy going to. Always such nice company all the bartenders are fantastic! My favorite part is that I can bring my dog in here to watch football on Sunday or really any day of the week as long as it isn't too packed. They always have awesome specials going on like $5 bloody Mary's and $3 mimosas on Sunday. When we go it isn't normally to crowded but if you go on a Friday or Saturday night expect it to be pretty busy especially if they have live music. They always have different events going on like low country boils, dart tournaments and pool tournaments as well as trivia. It's such a friendly local bar located in the town of Lewisville. Usually I always see someone here that I know and you can bring outside food if you get hungry. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

I've lived in Winston Salem for the past 4 years now and have recently found Old Nick's. I wished I would have found it much much sooner. This place seriously rocks. They have great events such as the Luck of the Draw darts, pool league which I really enjoy, and most every night there is something going on like karaoke, trivia, and LIVE MUSIC. Along with a great beer selection, this place is great. But what truly makes Old Nick's stand above the rest is its regulars. On any given night, one feels as if you are hanging out with old friends. The people are really friendly and welcome you with open arms. That's what makes Old Nick's such a wonderful place.

This is very much a neighborhood pub, and if you are not a regular, nobody knows your name or probably cares to. This place opened in 2006 in a down town area that was more than a little rough, but it took off, building a faithful following. COVID hit the spot hard, and the original owner closed the place in 2021. It reopened in 3022 under new management and seemed headed in the right direction. But recently things have turned very messy, with unpaid wages and vendor invoices, The State has several investigations going on at present, and survival seems a long shot. I have eaten here a handful of times and found the food and service to be rather good. The Fish and Chips (comes in small or large), the Celtic Chili, the Corned Beef and Cabbage, the Reuben, and the Bangers and Mash were are worth a shot. I don't sense these spot will be open much longer. A shame really.

Service was really slow, even though our server was really nice. No real atmosphere even though it got busier as the evening went by. Big blow when we were told they didn't have bangers to go with the mash. Disappointing. We went with the fish and chips and got a side of the garlic mashed potatoes. Also tried the scotch eggs. The eggs were actually really good and nice and hot. Served with a Dijon mustard they were probably the best part of the evening. Nice crunchy coating of breadcrumbs and sausage. Good app. The fish and chips were ok. Lots more batter than actual fish inside. Very greasy. Chips were not the steak fries thick cut like they use to do awhile back. We asked for curry sauce several times before we actually got it. As this is a must anytime you have fish and chips. They should just serve it with it. The mashed potatoes were awesome. Very rich and buttery. We ordered another side as it was the best thing on our table. We also had a round of vodka sodas. Standard good bar drink. I really hoped this would be the great pub experience for my friend but it wasn't what I expected. Hopefully next time round will be better. Hope the get some bangers in soon !!

I…read morethink every weekend they have a live band either on Friday or Saturday night but we went to their Halloween party last week. LevelXperience was playing, which is an all-girls band and they were awesome! But they have two bars for service because they had recently bought the area beside them and now it's full of arcade games which are pretty fun as an adult after you've been drinking a bit. On one side they do have adult slushies. They have added more bathrooms and more pool tables, if you enter on the arcade side and they have a band you will need to pay an entrance fee. There's a local Dart group that competes each week and I know they have Super Bowl parties which includes food and prizes. The funny thing is, I asked the bartender on the arcade if they have Red Stripe, she said Yes, of course, it's been awhile since I've heard it called that!." Now she looked to be 24-28ish and bless her heart- she handed me a PBR. I looked at the bottle and was going to say something but hey, of course we all know PBR does have a red stripe in the label. But nonetheless, good prices and fun times. Plenty of people to sing along and dance with or play a round of pool. The Green Tea shots here are the best I've had anywhere. Plenty of parking and you are basically 10 feet away from the late night Taco Bell menu to help absorb the alcohol. If you're looking for a a quiet spot for a few minutes away from the music, they have an outdoor area to the right of the building, it is accessible without going inside first. You will have to show ID or your wristband at every entrance and the place is large enough to host a birthday party, a Friendsgiving get together or GNO, there's a hotel close by in case you go for their New Years Eve PARTY. A few of my friends and I actually had a hilarius Christmas photo shoot at VS Taphouse about 10 years ago. So good try a new cocktail for fall and get your pinball game on-Saturday and Sunday they open at 12 noon if you just want to take the kids to play a few old school arcade games.

Start the meal off right with some Patatas Bravas. Double-fried potatoes with a tasty salsa and garlic aioli. Those went by quick! It's savory with a hint of spice. For the dinner service entrees, the real winner is the Fish and Chips. It's a huge battered haddock fillet over a bed of fries, accompanied by cabbage slaw and tartar sauce. Don't forget the malt vinegar to pair with the fries! The haddock was done perfectly, as it was both crispy and juicy. It was filling, but not over the top. Quality over quantity for sure. The chicken tikka masala is also a nice touch to the menu. A bit different from the rest, but not overly left of field. It was spiced to be flavorful but not overpowering. The chicken was nice and tender. The herb rice was decent, but still paired well as a sidekick to the tikka masala. Feeling desserts? Leave some space for the tuxedo cake. It's very rich and a solid bite to close out the meal. Shoutout to the wonderful waitress who executed everything without an issue. Reservations are recommended. I'll certainly be back.

The food truck/vendor festival downtown was absolutely packed and the lines were so crazy we decided we'd rather sit down in a restaurant instead. When we walked in, they cleaned off a table and had us seated right away. We ordered the crab pretzel for an appetizer because it sounded unique and interesting. It was so rich, almost difficult to eat, so we won't be doing that again. We ordered our food and I ordered a cocktail. We actually watched the drink sit on the bar, all the ice melting... for at least 20 minutes before it was brought to our table. It was a watered down version of what could have been good. Our food took over an hour to arrive. We walked in around 1:30, and didn't leave until 2:50. The food arrived at 2:40. We only left because I had somewhere to be at 3, not because we were finished eating... my husband's burger and fries were lukewarm at best, as were my fries. My sandwich was only hot because they had forgotten to make it along with my husband's food, and someone called out for them to make one real quick. Which explains why my husband's food was no longer warm, because we watched it sit there while they made my food. I had time to take a couple bites of my sandwich before we had to try and flag down our waitress for the check and to-go boxes because I no longer had time to eat before my event. This was so, so disappointing and we were really surprised that nothing was comped from our bill. Even a check in from the manager would have been nice, just to acknowledge that this was not the norm? If it had been my first time in, I would never be back.
