First time visiting Village Square Tap House, and I can say that I am happy with this place…read more First of all, they don't serve food. That's usually a problem, especially since it is located in a shopping center where I found no food trucks. But I called and they said that we could bring food. That's a huge bonus, so I swung by a take-out place and got a sandwich. The beer menu is enormous, and it has a lot of interesting variety. They also have a wine and bourbon menu with a lot of the selections one would expect to find there. As far as features, things to do, they have pool tables, darts, and live music. So in terms of a classy, spacious, and well-lit place to go meet people or play a game, they have it all covered. The staff at the bar were friendly and punctual... what more can be said.

Well Village Square tap house, it is a bar but it's a dang good place to hang out with friends. I…read morethink every weekend they have a live band either on Friday or Saturday night but we went to their Halloween party last week. LevelXperience was playing, which is an all-girls band and they were awesome! But they have two bars for service because they had recently bought the area beside them and now it's full of arcade games which are pretty fun as an adult after you've been drinking a bit. On one side they do have adult slushies. They have added more bathrooms and more pool tables, if you enter on the arcade side and they have a band you will need to pay an entrance fee. There's a local Dart group that competes each week and I know they have Super Bowl parties which includes food and prizes. The funny thing is, I asked the bartender on the arcade if they have Red Stripe, she said Yes, of course, it's been awhile since I've heard it called that!." Now she looked to be 24-28ish and bless her heart- she handed me a PBR. I looked at the bottle and was going to say something but hey, of course we all know PBR does have a red stripe in the label. But nonetheless, good prices and fun times. Plenty of people to sing along and dance with or play a round of pool. The Green Tea shots here are the best I've had anywhere. Plenty of parking and you are basically 10 feet away from the late night Taco Bell menu to help absorb the alcohol. If you're looking for a a quiet spot for a few minutes away from the music, they have an outdoor area to the right of the building, it is accessible without going inside first. You will have to show ID or your wristband at every entrance and the place is large enough to host a birthday party, a Friendsgiving get together or GNO, there's a hotel close by in case you go for their New Years Eve PARTY. A few of my friends and I actually had a hilarius Christmas photo shoot at VS Taphouse about 10 years ago. So good try a new cocktail for fall and get your pinball game on-Saturday and Sunday they open at 12 noon if you just want to take the kids to play a few old school arcade games.

I went with the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Solid overall--good flavor and well cooked. I would've liked a little more heat, but it's clearly dialed in to be approachable for most people. Also had the pub chips, and those were excellent. Everyone else at the table was happy with their meals too, no weak spots. The environment hits a nice balance--family-friendly but still has that sports bar energy. Add in efficient service, and it's an easy spot to come back

Another great pet-friendly spot!…read more We had our dogs with us since we had taken them to the dog park that day so we wanted to find a pet-friendly place where we could eat without having to take them home and then leave again. There aren't many pet-friendly places in WS so our options are pretty limited when we have our dogs with us. When we went, there was some kind of event going on so unfortunately, the food truck had already run out of quite a few things. I got the Reuben Sandwich and my husband got the Bratwurst Hoagie (I think that's what it was called?). They were both really good! We also got a side of tater tots and they were fried perfectly. They were very crispy without being greasy at all! Probably the best tater tots I've ever had. They had several hard ciders, which I really appreciate since I'm not a beer drinker. They had Churro Cider that sounded interesting so I decided to try it. It was really good! It had a nice cinnamon flavor and wasn't overly sweet which was something I was a little worried about. It was just perfect. We had a great time and next time, we'd love to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere there!

Wasn't the best and wouldn't get again. The peach lavender cocktail with champagne was too sweet so also wouldn't get again. It also didn't have enough of the bubbly-ness of champagne. The shrimp tacos without aioli were really good. Shrimp cooked perfectly. The lettuce and mango pico were fresh. Would get again. My fiancé had the pork mac and cheese. The portion was filling. The meat was flavorful, and the mac and cheese was pretty good. It was missing one ingredient that we couldn't place, but overall pretty good. We want to come back and try more entrees. Not so sure about the cocktails. Service was good. The waiter let my fiancé sample a cider he was interested in (it was okay, but we didn't order a full glass). He was on top of the order and checking in to make sure we were happy. The playlist was kind of all over the place but played songs we recognized and even liked. It's small inside with lots of outdoor seating, and the chairs inside aren't the most comfortable. But overall on a slow day like we experienced, we had a good enough time.

I ordered the Cajun Cod Wrap from their weekly specials menu after seeing the photo they posted on Facebook. It looked good but what I received was a total disappointment. It looked nothing like the picture. First of all, it was tiny. I honestly thought I'd been given a kid's meal. It was that small. And for $15? It definitely wasn't worth the price. Second, the wrap was only filled halfway, with the rest of it being mostly tortilla. Finally, I took a bite and couldn't taste any Cajun seasoning at all. I let my husband and son each try a bite as well and neither of them could taste any Cajun either. We rarely complain about our food but this time we had to. Our server was incredibly kind and immediately agreed that it looked nothing like it should. She went to get the manager but another staff member came over because the manager was busy. He was also very friendly, understanding and agreed that what I received wasn't right. He offered to either remove it from our bill or let me order something else. I chose the street tacos because I know those are always good. I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally they handled the situation. That said, something similar happened before when I ordered from their weekly specials menu so I've decided I won't be ordering from it again. I'll be sticking to their regular menu from now on.
