First off a shout out to Nathan who is an absolute superstar! Stoked is very lucky to have such an amazing and conscientious employee, the best! Ok for the food, go for their signature items that's where they shine. Do not go there for the best salad you've ever had, this is not that place (and yes, I've had those too). Pizza is my normal go to but for this trip we got burgers and fries and it was just what we were looking for. If you are a fan of the coated crispy fries, that's what they serve. You can choose your side with the sandwiches and burgers so we also got cole slaw, it was ok but underwhelming, I'm guessing it's not house made. Often when I've had a less than great experience at a restaurant I'll wait a while and try again, with some different choices. I came back here to try the pig skins and the Parmesan Meatball Sub on a take out basis. The pork skins were nice and crusty, and came with a spicy Texas Pete Ranch sauce. A previous review stated that the pork skins were house made, but I'm not sure that is the case - the appearance is very much that of a commercially secured product. Still, with plenty of the Texas Pete Ranch, these made a decent starter. The sub includes 3 large meatballs, mozzarella , Parmesan and marinara on a sub roll. I originally tried this restaurant because of an event, and I was really impressed! The ambiance is very laid back and family friendly. It would be great to watch a game here (they have TVs) or even just grab a drink at the bar. The chalkboard lists all of their daily specials and they have a lot! It had a pineapple jam (but very little), no actual pineapple, and large chunks of pork rinds that were impossible to eat unless you remove and eat like a chip. Ok I found ANOTHER GREAT pizza place. I was so obsessed with Cugino, but now I have a new obsession. We ordered the biaco pesto pizza and it was just perfect. Upon entering, we were taken to a small two-person table and greeted by a young woman who, unfortunately, spoke very softly. We had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Once we entered our order for cheese curds and a Margherita pizza, we were pleased when each item came out relatively quickly. The cheese curds were pretty standard, but we enjoyed them with some marinara sauce. The pizza tasted good, but it wasn't anything special. Our server was nice, but she seemed pretty new, so given time, she will probably get more skilled. The ambiance is laid-back and feels like a place a lot of locals visit. My wife and I stopped by this spot on a spur of the moment date. It was the signage that grabbed my eye and the "Woodfired" pulled me in! Priding myself on being the ultimate pizza connoisseur, I had to try it. For myself, the test of any pizza spot is how they perform on the most simplistic pizza, the Margarita. We got the 12" pie and she got a salad. The pizza came in about 10-15mins piping hot. On initial inspection the pizza looked great! Had a little charred spot on one side which is not a bad thing, that's "Woodfired"! The pie itself was great! They hit all pizza points. Only complaints were.... 1. The basil was placed right on top so it was dried out and burned. 2. It was 40 degrees outside and they had the ceiling fans on! We almost froze! We had seen other positive reviews and bookmarked Stoked because of the positive feedback received on Yelp. We were in the area last weekend and decided to stop in about 3:30pm. We were seated right away as the restaurant area was not busy even though there were several people seated at the bar. We were provided menus and offered drinks. We asked out server Annabelle about the cheese curds and she highly recommended them so we knew we had to try them! My wife also asked about the gluten free crust and Annabelle said she really enjoyed it so my wife chose the Farmer's Market Pie on the cauliflower crust while I chose the All Meat pie on traditional crust. The cheese curds arrived and we devoured them - so tasty, especially with the marinara. Our pizzas arrived a short while later and also looked delicious. This was our first time here. I expected the inside to be bigger or accommodate more people, but it actually seems like it would be a struggle to have a peak time with such little seating. The menu left us struggling with what to order, as so many things sounded delicious! I ordered the Shrimp Tacos (3), which were really good. For $13.50 though, they should come with a little side of some sort. My husband had the Pub Nachos, which I tried & enjoyed, so did he. The only qualm was that they didn't have enough "toppings" they needed a bit more smother, not a lot, just a little bit more would've been perfect! My younger two had the Kids Cheese. My daughter ate almost the whole thing. Her only "complaint" was there was too much cheese & the bottom was a little too charred for her- but I explained the cooking process & how that's common. My oldest had a 12" Pepperoni Pizza & he said it was "tasty!" They also have cocktails, wine, and beer. Our waitress was nice & the experience was good. Want to get STOKED about a meatball sub again?! Stoked is your place! I am somewhat of a meatball connoisseur and when my server recommended their meatballs as being "uniquely delicious" I said "Wow me" and ordered one for lunch right away. What I got was this lovely hoagie roll stuffed to the gills with huuuuge meatballs, that were juicy, flavorful, and carpeted with delicious warm cheese and sauce. Only my second visit to Stoked and normally I wouldn't update my review so soon, especially to give the same amount of stars but these were two completely unique experiences! I honestly thought our first experience might've just been a super good night because I rarely ever hear much buzz about this place. Our waitress, T, was delightful. The restaurant wasn't super crowded but she was very personable, upbeat and attentive. I have had excellent service at both visits. We started off with the brunch cocktails which were $5! They had bloody Mary's, mimosas and screwdrivers (with added grenadine). I enjoyed the screwdriver and my friend loved the Bloody Mary! Nice presentation. I got the steak and cheese omelette as my entree and wow. I liked that they kind of rolled the filling up into the eggs. It was perfect and smothered with delicious queso! My only complaint was that the menu said it had peppers in it and I was thinking bell peppers like in a philly steak, but it was banana peppers which I'm not a huge fan of. It was still very good, but I wish that would've been more clear on the menu. My friend got the bowl and it was laden with the best brunch potatoes. Seriously so good. Perfect mix of soft and crunchy! He swapped the chorizo for bacon and it was just delicious. Topped with more of that delicious queso and lots of yummy avocado. The margarita pizza received 4 out of 5 stars. I didn't like the overcooked basil. For me the crust was overcooked as well but my husband felt like it was perfect so let's say it depends on your preference. The tomato sauce was fresh and sweet. We could have used more cheese but overall we will return to try another specialty pizza. Hands down wood fired pizza is better than any other method so you can't go wrong. Great signage and location caught our eye and we decided to finally give it a try. Location:It is close to the main entrance of Robinhood Village and pretty visible from Robinhood Road. They had some early 2000s rock playing which of course was good nostalgia for us both. Menus and specials were very visible. Also....YAY FOR CLEAN RESTROOMS!! Food: We got to try the farmers market pizza and the burger...the pizza was awesome! It definitely had that char you would look for on the bottom...not too much and not too little. We are super curious if our next experience will be the same because it was cooked to perfection. They used local produce and a dab of honey (weird sounding I know but it was delicious) The burger was a good portion and came with fries. My only complaint about this place but not enough for a star down Is there was no option to have the burger cooked to a level of rare-well done. They are all the same and I was also expecting a little more flavor wise since it was at a woodfire pub but, without those expectations in mind it was a good basic burger . All of that being said...pizza is what they rock so we are going to stick to only that next time and try a couple of other flavors. Customer service: We were very happy with the swift service and friendly wait staff. I want to point out I really appreciated our waitress grabbing the bartender to explain what was in the specialty menu cocktail choices as she didn't know exactly. Meanwhile I chose the Bourbon chicken pizza. My wife and I both chose 9" pizzas, and I have to say that the pizza was quite filling. I'm a big guy, but the pizza was packed with chicken, bacon, and tomato. Now the Bourbon sauce was sweet and I think really goes well with the proteins provided. I had been wanting to try Stoked for awhile now based off photos I've seen, especially ones of the meatball sub. A few times I tried to place an order they were closed or weren't doing delivery. Finally a day came where I was close by and they were open. I did a take-out order and ate my sub and fries once I got home. I was surprised how small the restaurant was inside, I thought it would be bigger. Felt more like a bar vs. a sit down restaurant. Not a place I'd enjoy sitting down to eat if I did go back. Too cold and loud for me. Anyways my food was disappointing. My meatball sub didn't look anything like the pictures and I couldn't get over the taste of the sauce. I don't know how to describe it because I've never had red sauce that tasted like this before, though it was more of a burgundy color honestly. It's as if it was sweet like BBQ. It was off putting for someone who enjoys a good ole traditional tasting meatball sandwich. I couldn't finish it unfortunately. Fries were ok. Based on other reviews of people who gave them a second chance looks like they still left disappointed. It appears to be most recent they've gone downhill, compared to the older reviews at least. Their pizzas are great, but having tried all of their sandwiches I can't say enough about the grilled Garlic Steak sandwich. If you love grilled buttery garlic bread filled with 5 oz of seasoned flat iron steak, caramelized onions, and arugula greens, it will become one of your favorites. But for me and my wife, and I probably speak for others who have eaten at Stoked, the food there is only surpassed by the quality of the friendly staff that takes care of us from the time we walk through the door.
