It was large enough to be a small entrée and the fried wontons were perfect. For dinner we split a skirt steak with asparagus. A little concerned it would be tender but melted in the mouth. The croissants were equally unsatisfactory--dense, chewy, and overbaked, with a texture and taste suggesting they had not risen properly. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal was the side salad, which, while fresh, should not have been the most enjoyable component of the dining experience. Overall, I left feeling quite disappointed. Given that both of my visits have resulted in similarly negative experiences, I find it difficult to justify returning.

Virgil and Mitzi built the Railyard to be a place they want to hang out, and there are so many fun little touches that you won't even notice unless you're on the lookout. The beer taps are great, fresh, and changing. No old outdated kegs here. I have had wonderful beer from local breweries, and last night I had Hofbrauhaus, Hacker-Pschorr, and an Old Speckled Hen from England. What a treat! There is a large canned beer list as well. Service is friendly and fast, and then you can choose your seating option. Picnic tables, big plastic comfy chairs, seats by the fire pits, bar stools, high-tops by the food truck, or tables under the shelter. It really has that intimate yet expansive feel that I love. Add lights, live music on weekends, easy parking and what is not to love? Bring your kids and your dogs, they will have a blast too. Additionally: wine is available, mimosas on Sundays, food trucks most weekend evenings (follow them on Instagram to get the latest), and note that each restroom has it's own personality.
