    Pull pork sandwich

So we wanted to try the King area and felt like cold beers so we came here tonight. We pulled into the shopping center and saw this restaurant from the outside and we were really underwhelmed. But then we step inside...and there was a group of talented people playing instruments (fiddles, banjos, etc) and having a jam session, and it sounded wonderful! And I looked at my son and said "I'm home". They had about 10 or more beers on tap and carried some great stuff like Fiddle and Fish and Red Oak. Good menu of your normal Southern stuff like fried pickles and pulled pork sandwich and Carolina burger. Good sandwich and burger assortment. Food came out and we really enjoyed it. Their fries are different but good different..hard to explain, flat yet curly They did put a coldish processed cheese slice on my burger so 4 Stars for that. But overall great place, super casual and music gets your heart. Apparently they play on Wednesdays. I'd make this my new once a month go to.

I've been driving by the place for a while and have been curious about the food here. Even though the name is Foothills Grill and Tap, the sign style on the building and the interior layout almost make it look like a deli. They have an order counter inside like a deli, which makes sense considering the general lack of available wait staff. There is a bar area in the back that did not appear to be open during lunch hour (I didn't ask.) There is also a small coffee shop up front, which is nice to know. I will have to try them another time. I ordered a chicken caesar salad for lunch and my friend ordered a burger and hot chips, which I did not taste (cuz, you know... that's a bit weird for some friends). He said it was pretty good, and it looked good enough that I may try one next time. My salad was decent. I'm a bit of a caesar dressing snob, so I was not surprised at the flavor of what appeared to be run-of-the-mill bulk caesar dressing. No anchovies were killed in the making of the dressing... :( The salad was good otherwise. There was a decent portion of sliced, grilled chicken on top and the shaved parmesan cheese and croutons were nice. To top it off, the staff we dealt with were super friendly. Right around noon the place really got busy, which is nice to see. I will be coming back and look forward to trying a burger.

Carolina burger with toppings on the side cause they thought we ordered a classic..

Overall not a bad lookin place seems like a evening type bar for fried food specialties I got the club it was good the house chips were good not so much the onion rings taste like they fries with fish..My wife ordered the Carolina burger an the sever give us a classic either ketchup an pickle so when we said we ordered a Carolina she said that the buttons are right next each other my mistake would you like me to bring you the chilli an slaw out on a plate like really disappointingly I agreed an what a failure that was didn't even get a spoon full of the chili or slaw which I might had isn't any good had purple cabbage in it not a Carolina burger type slaw at all but it seems to be popular not just at this place ... I will not be back

Wow, we've been missing out! We knew about the Playground but didn't really give it much thought…read morebefore today. We were interested in watching the Oregon Duck football game this afternoon and were looking for a place to watch the second half of the game while grabbing something to eat. My wife did a bit of searching and suggested the Playground. We mentioned this to our friend and neighbor and he had nothing but great things to say about the place. We arrived shortly after 5pm on Saturday evening, and had no trouble finding parking. We were immediately impressed. They have a nice outdoor patio and once we walked inside we could see this was not your typical "sports bar". In addition to the bar/counter area, there are tables throughout the main area near the stage and bar. They also have virtual games that allow people to play everything from Zombie Dodgeball to Baseball. We took a seat at the bar and asked if one of the TV's could be changed to the Oregon game. They were happy to accommodate us but we also appreciated that they checked with another couple they knew were interested in the games playing to ensure we each had at least one TV focused on the game of our choice. The young man who provided us menus was friendly and helpful. We also met the manager, Sam who gave us a bit more history on the place and we discovered we are both Penn State Alum, which was cool. I ordered an IPA on draft and saw for the first time a draft system that fills the cups from the bottom with a magnet filler system. Sam and I talked a bit about it and how it works, which we found really interesting. We looked over the food menu and were happy to see they had both Roman style pizza crust options and cauliflower crust options. My wife ordered the pesto pizza on cauliflower crust with no cheese. I ordered the meat lovers pizza on the roman crust with no ranch dressing. My wife visited the women's restroom and reported they were spotless and well equipped. She even made a comment to Sam that she really appreciated the level of attention that is clearly put into the place to keep it clean and well kept. Our pizzas were ready about the same time as the band arrived to begin setting up for a 7:30pm show. We were told the band was a county music group that was really good. We've since started following the Playground on Facebook to keep up with their music offerings. We opened our pizza boxes and both pies looked delicious! My wife oohed and awed over each bite of her pizza and managed to eat the whole thing. I was equally pleased with my pizza but only managed to eat half since it contains a lot more dough than the cauliflower crust, but that leaves me with leftovers, which I love. Overall, this was a great experience and we will absolutely be back! We are also excited that we've found our new place to watch College Football this year. A big shoutout to Sam and the people at the Playground. You've created something really special in our neighborhood.

They have games, pool tables, darts, basketball, arcade machines, outdoor seating, and a welcoming setup that makes it easy to hang out for a while. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Our total wait time from sitting down to receiving food was about 21 minutes, which felt reasonable considering drinks and appetizers came out first. The deep fried crab balls were delicious, and the fries were cooked perfectly. For the wings, we tried multiple flavors including Atomic Buffalo, Sweet Chili, Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki, and Jerk. The cook on the wings was excellent -- crispy without being dry. Some flavors stood out more than others depending on personal preference, but the Sweet Chili and Teriyaki were favorites for our table. The ranch was also really good, which definitely matters with wings. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food made this a fun experience and we'd return again.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday with my wife. We'd been wanting to try this spot for a while,…read morenice to have something in a spot that sat vacant for so many year. We arrived with only 2 other cars in the parking lot, which made us question if they were even open...as it turn out they were, but my wife, and I were the only patrons. We walked in to an unlit foyer, saw some light on in the bar area, so poked our heads in to ask if they were open. The bartender welcomed us and assured us they were, and invited us to seat ourselves. We grabbed seats at a high top, and she brought over the menus and took our drink orders. First thing I noticed was the table tops were not flat, they were wavy and made it very easy to spill your drink, so beware, and be careful where you put your drink down. The menu was pretty standard bar food, burgers, sandwiches, wings and other fried items. I decided to try their build your own burger, an 8oz patty with choice of cheese and toppings. Only side options were fries or hot chips. Food was quick to come out, but again, we were the only people there. The burger was OK, although just a frozen patty, they grilled up, the fries were good, but the portion felt a little small. Overall it was okay, perhaps they're still trying to get thing figured out. The bartender was friendly though. I didn't see a bar menu, but from what I could see they had a fully stocked bar. As we left, we poked our head around to the other side of the building to find a golf simulator, some billiards tables and a few arcade games. Lots of tvs every where though, probably a good place to catch a game.
