Anyways Laguna Smog gave a price $5 more than the cheapest place so I went Laguna because it's just down the street in addition that I've been there before and it wasn't worth driving further with a truck that only gets 12 mpg. Laguna Smog's office is clean, uncluttered and most of all air conditioned. The guys running the place are men of few words even after I gave a compliment on their boat. It looks like maybe a North River maybe 20 ft or so. I think my boating owning days are over. I can't afford anything anymore in this damn state full of liberals wanting to get rid of gas and diesel vehicles with gas consistently $3 dollars more than the rest of country and now wanting to ban 70% of tires. Liberals always will vote to tax themselves and the poor and barely making it people suffer their dumb ideology Well the moral of the story is use Yelp to get a quote the next time you need a smog check a car

My mother is 87 years old and she had her van ran into in a hit and run in the Raley's parking lot…read more The damage was minimal but the insurance company decided to total the vehicle rather than fix it and pay her off instead of repairing it. Therefore it became a salvaged vehicle. My mother was not ready to part with her most beloved van so she bought it back from the insurance company and went through all of the hassle to be able to re-register it again with DMV, including a brake and light check. That was two years ago. Then came covid. Last year she sent in her check and smog report to get her renewal but it never came in the mail. She does not use computers and for the next year could not seem to get past the recorded phone messages with DMV. Finally the DMVs opened up again so I took her to one of the offices and waited in the line that wrapped around the building with her. I was not able to actually go inside the building with her due to Covid protocols so I waited for her in the car. She notified me once she had returned to my vehicle that they had lost her break and light documents and she had to have the inspection done all over again. She tried to go back to her original brake and light place in West Sacramento. After waiting two weeks for her appointment they told he she had to leave the vehicle all day just to get a 30 minute brake and light check and the lady was very obnoxious to her. I hate people that are not kind and patient to the elderly. She takes care of my father who has dementia so she could not stay and therefore still unable to get a certificate. I looked up places on Yelp and found SMG. They take drop ins so I decided to take my mother there. We arrived there at about a quarter after nine on a Thursday morning and was instructed to turn around and get in line with the other cars waiting on the other side of the street. They were quite busy but they still were very patient and took the extra time to help my mother and they treated her just the way they would want others to treat their own mothers. By ten o'clock everything was taken care of and we were on our merry way. We can only hope DMV does not lose her certificate this time.

I unknowingly got a nail in my tire and they were kind enough to repair it for free as well check out my other tires to ensure they were safe. It was great that they did so since my rear passenger tire had a small screw in it. Parking is easy to find in their large parking lot. There's plentiful seating in their lobby and if you're hungry or thirsty, there's several neighboring places you can quickly grab something from. The lobby and restrooms were clean and well maintained. The employees worked efficiently, hard, and safely. Everyone was polite and professional. I was very happy that both were repairable and it was a pleasant bonus and surprise that they fixed everything in a very timely fashion. I'll definitely consider them when I'm in the market for tires since their prices seem to be pretty competitive. Thank you for your kind and empathetic service with a smile and your knowledge and professionalism. It was greatly appreciated on a long and stressful day.

Free flat repair includes tire patching if it is in a repairable area. Tires eligible for repair must be less than 10 years old, no dry rot/cracks, and meet their minimum tread depth requirement. If the tire is leaking from the valve stem they will also replace it. Free wheel balancing is also included. Tires can be ordered from tirerack.com, shipped to this location, and installed. They do not have a installation deadline which is convenient and relies on the customer to schedule an available time. When I ordered tires it took me a month before I had time to have them installed. There were no issues with them storing them for longer until I had time to come in. There is an area in front of the roll up doors where free pressurized air is provided to ensure tires are the appropriate PSI. I've relied on this location many times for free flat repairs. On a recent visit for a free flat repair for my trailer, the associate was friendly, and fast. She replaced the valve stem in less than 5 minutes!

Initially I dealt with John Thorpe followed by Larry for her purchase and Nai for the financial details. All were friendly, provided excellent customer service and "mom" got her car. The entire deal went smoothly. The only issue we had was at the signing. Again the financial person was friendly, helpful and we got the car. However it is bothersome when the extras are pushed, especially on my bonus mom who is 80. Although we got the used car she wanted, better than one we'd looked at the previous day, the pushing to buy all these add ons is tough to deal with. I know this is common at all dealerships. We finally agreed to one service contract and negotiated the price down significantly. With all that said I still give Toyota a 5 star rating due to John Thorpe and Larry. Thank you. Forgot to get photos of the Amethyst colored Honda CR-V suv which she purchased.

This is in response to Jeannette on the attached review who would rather shift the fault on the…read morecustomer presuming they didn't know what they wanted. Which is false! Jeannette, Please read this CLOSELY There was no uncertainty on my part about the vehicle I wanted: a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE. Comparing available vehicles or shopping at other dealerships did not make that request unclear. My complaint was not that I needed help choosing a model. It was that I did not receive a clear, finalized out-the-door quote accurately reflecting the acknowledged $2,000 discount, an explanation for the pricing discrepancies, or upfront disclosure that the vehicle was still in transit. Your response says breakdowns were provided, but that does not address whether those figures correctly reflected the agreed discount or resolve the inconsistencies I raised. Framing this as customer "confusion" shifts responsibility away from the issues I actually described. Retraining staff to narrow down my vehicle preference misses the point: I had already specified the year, model, and trim. If a dealership cannot use that information to provide accurate pricing and clearly communicate availability, it should not be in the business of selling cars. I would appreciate a response that addresses those specific concerns rather than suggesting I did not know what I wanted.
