There is no greater testimony for the American Dream than this shop . There is also no greater testimony of how a relationship with Jesus changes you as a human being , and you reflect that change even into the labor of changing the oil and breaks on a car. The owner of this shop , has put the two together , and has managed to turn his business into the best car shop Sacramento has. From reading all Yelp and Google reviews , to your own personal experiences in the shop , you won't take your car anywhere else. Sitting in the wait room with a bunch of strangers (that formed a line outside before the shop even opened) yet it seems like they are all repeated customers . They are talking about the owner in the same way , a humbled business owner that you can trust , and no one is taking their car anywhere else . Hoan, Congratulations!, you are reflecting the opportunity this land of the free offers, and reflecting what it means to run a businesses while growing with God. Thank you to you , and all your guys. read more

I have nothing but good things to say to this shop. Scratch that. Perfection is what describes this shop! Why? Let me tell you. My whole family, both immediate and extended, have been going here for many years. Whether it be for smog or major repairs, they do it all with honesty, fairness, and respect. Hoan has always talked to me truthfully, gave me prices that are very (and I mean, VERY) reasonable, and caters to your specific needs! I'm forever indebted and a loyal customer to this shop for the amount of times Hoan and his team has helped my family and I. And I'm sure I am only one of many people that they've helped. One time, I waited in the lounge surrounded by people in different walks of life, we all opened up about how much this place is a diamond in a world full of money-hungry shops. When my mom and I waited a bit longer than usual for an oil change, he offered a HUGE discount for it because of the inconvenience. These stories are only a fraction of how much this shop has helped the community and my family, and I have many more stories that I can share. Whenever someone asks me if I know any reputable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable shops in the Sacramento area, I always tell them to go here and to tell Hoan I said hi. God bless Precision Smog & Tune and thank you as always! -Jericho read more

I brought my old Acura Mdx in to get a diagnostic to see if it's worth fixing. Hoan did a thorough assessment and suggested that there's too many issues (transmission and bearings problems). From this result, I took his advice to retire the vehicle. When I went to pick up the car, he did not charged me for his time and refused to accept payment. It's hard to find an honest and reliable mechanic these days. This is one I will certainly go back to when I need repairs on my other vehicles. Highly recommend! read more

Awesome place to get a Smog. There can be a line, but they are good and honest. Good pricing.

Came here as a walk in as my car needed a smog so I could renew my registration. They were quick and efficient and got me in and out and in about 30 minutes. They dont do appointments but are fast. I came on a Wednesday about noon. It was much easier than I expected. Good price. The next day I was able to renew my registration with DMV on line. Super easy read more

I called 20 places for quotes. This shop gave me a quote over the phone when I called. Most others say they'll get back to you, and I'm still waiting on about 10 quotes. Luckily, I was able to get my car in the same day. They said it would only take a certain amount of time, and it did. There is a window, you can see the service actually being done. Where I've been lied to by several other shops. The pricing was on point. I will be using this shop for my other car now. I appreciate a place with honest work being done. There is no public restroom, just thought I'd mention it. There is a waiting room with a tv that was comfortable. read more

Service is always great! I always come for a smog check and his price rates are good. My 08 Camry makes frequent visits here because I didn't receive her in the best conditions and I have had a couple oopsies with her. Precision Smog on Florin was there for me and Rosetta (my car) EVERY time. I'm super busy and always on the run between class and two jobs, life can't go on with my car spending too much time at a shop or unsafe to drive. Every time I've taken Rosetta to Precision she is completely well taken care of and in the best possible condition as she can be in a timely manner. Super fast, Super reliable, Super Affordable, Super Knowledgeable, Super professional. If you were wondering whether or not you wanted to try this place out, you do. Trust read more

Kinda want to keep Hoan and his shop secret, but also just want his shop to get the recognition it deserves. I was referred to Hoan's shop through a friend 2+ years ago and now, my boyfriend and I go to him now exclusively. It is the small things that they do that shows how much they care for their customers. My passenger seat sun visor has always been missing a screw which was NBD, but magically on my oil change appt, it was fixed. Another time, I lost my gas cap and forgot to buy a new one. On my next appt, a new gas cap appeared. None of these instances did I ask them to fix, but they just do it without even mentioning it :'). It really shows how genuine Hoan and his shop truly is. read more

I highly recommend the fast professional and honest service I received from the owner Mr. Hoan Pham! .. I brought in my 2008 Dodge Ram truck I was experiencing an exhaust leak and a EVAP leak he quickly jumped into action and literally with in minutes he'd found both problems and resolved my issues I was back on the road ! I thanked him! And I waited for the bill... I asked him how much do I owe you?, and Mr. Pham to my surprise quickly replied no charge! I was shocked! .. Especially when other shops were charging a minimum of $175/$205 just to open the hood , you just don't find this kind of honest professional knowledgeable mechanic shops anywhere! I highly recommend you take your vehicles to Mr. Hoan Pham's Precision Smog and Tune! This will be the last Shop you'll ever need to go for honest fast repairs! Thank you again Mr. Pham read more

I'm pretty shocked that Precision Smog & Tune only has 18 reviews on here. Given that they're always so busy, I expected more. It's always best to call before you try come in. If he's too busy, he usually just tells me to come in the next day. My family has been going to Hoan for years and nobody else. I swear he has the best prices in town. Other mechanics have tried to charge me $80 for an oil change which is crazy. I could do it myself for half that price. Hoan always gives me a great price which is why I always come back and recommend him to all my friends. I needed to get my AC fixed and he was actually able to get the parts I needed and fix it all within the same day!! And once again, WAY better price than other places quoted me. Hoan is always super nice and even waited a couple of minutes for me to come pick up my car after closing because there was a bit of traffic. I highly recommend supporting Hoan's business! read more

Trying to find a place with an in-floor or low profile smog can be a pain in the rear of your car is lowered or if you have a factory sports car that is low. I hadn't done a smog in a long time since my cars were newer and didn't require it for a few more years. I ended up picking up a 2000 Toyota that came lowered and ended up searching online for places that could smog it. I found a couple of places and left home. Upon stopping at the light on Florin road, I saw the smog shop that I went to a long time ago for smog. Decided on a whim to check it out, and luckily, the owner hasn't changed! This place has a lot of customers, even on the weekdays but the wait time isn't too bad if you are looking to smog your car. Parking is extremely small, but on the side there is an alleyway you can park at. They also do repairs here too, but I tend to fix my own cars since I dislike others working on my car. They take credit cards and a smog is typically $50 here, I haven't seen a coupon but I didn't mind since I really needed a smog. My smog took about 30 minutes and I was out, there was a lot of customers too. TLDR Service 4/5 Price 3/5 Parking 1/5 read more

My old pick up truck has been having alot of problems lately that I went to some few mechanics that are not being honest especially with women like myself. Then I found Hoan through a family member and brought my truck there to be repaired. My entire family and I takes our car for smog or tune up. We highly recommend a great service, honest shop and very reasonably price.

Went here for oil change in the afternoon. Owner and workers are very nice to talk too. I call over 10 places for oil change, this place have the best price and services. Make sure to call in before heading out, the place is very busy. read more

I lose count of how many times I come here for maintenance for my vehicles. Hoan and his team are honest working guys who take care of his customers. After showing up right after they opened, I was able to get an oil change done but there were many cars that were lined up needing much more serious work. If you drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon, that's usually the best method since you don't have to wait around. If you have to stay on site, it's best to call ahead or show up when they open. read more

This is actually our back up mechanic. He's really good too, but he's a bit more expensive, but worth it. There are things that he can do on my car that the other mechanic can't. So on this day, I had to have my car towed from Fruitridge Rd (regular guy) to here Precision Smog. My car was vibrating for some reason. So off to Precision it goes. Its late in the day so Huang,( the owner) of the shop excepts the tow I sent to bring it, but he can't get to it until the next day. Huang is a really cool guy and we feel that he's a pretty honest guy and he's good at his work. The shop itself is kinda small,, but clean and he has two vending machines and a t.v as well, but it's Always busy. We have been coming here for about a good ten years with different vehicles over the years. He does the smogs on all our cars, and never ever have we ever had a problem with his work. This shop is called Precision Smog, but this guy does way more than the name on the sign. I literally stand by his work. He's good and he never has your car for longer than he has too. The fact that he is always busy is an indication of how good his work is. Just My opinion! My only issue is that, Huang does mostly everything his self, he answers the phone, checked out all the customers and greets all the customers. The other two guys don't speak much english, so it all falls on the owner, Huang. When we first started coming here his wife would work the counter, but she had a baby with her. This place is great and the work is excellent and the owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He located at Florin and Florin Perkins, quiet decent area of town. I personally would advise anyone looking for a great mechanic to check him out. He stands by his work. read more
