The products are fresh, all natural, and of course, locally grown. The staff was helpful, and I learned they don't use harmful chemical pesticides or fertilizers, which is a huge plus. The farm stand is a nice size, shaded from the sun, with beautiful views of the Fallbrook hills. Peaceful too! I purchased a few jars of fresh honey and a sourdough loaf, the honey on toasted sourdough was a delicious treat. I also picked up some crisp green beans. They had a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, all of which looked fresh and beautifully grown. I'll be back when I need more fruits and vegetables. They now offer a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription too. I'm looking forward to trying one, since I already get a CSA box from a nearby farm. They offer both delivery and pick-up options. If you appreciate fresh produce, definitely make a stop!

As a kid I didn't like going here because I didn't think it was as "nice" as Lucky's (aka Albertson's)...how wrong I was!!! Major Market is so much better than Albertsons by a long shot. The produce is better, the hot food is better, and they have a lot of niche/local baked goods that you can't find in most mainstream grocery stores. Not only that but the prices are not too bad, especially for an independent grocery. Unfortunately the last time I visited here, I didn't see that many people. My mom told me that less people have been shopping here and are opting for the Grocery Outlet down the street. As much as I love Grocery Outlet, that makes me sad. Honestly if I lived in Fallbrook, I'd try to come to Major Market more! Love this place!

I couldn't even pick it up without it sliding from my fingers. I removed the plastic bag but it was too gross to eat. I went back into the store to ask for chicken this time that is NOT in a plastic bag. Not to mention hot plastic is full of chemicals! I spoke to the manager and she confirmed they put fried chicken in a plastic bag! Why?? Exactly who does that? I returned to the chicken stand with permission from the manager and asked the gal to give me replacement chicken (per Monica, store manager-I think that was her name) and the employee started rolling her eyes at the other employee. Shame on you, ma'am....do you treat everyone with disrespect? Very reluctant to help me. Absolutely no empathy, kindness or compassion or understanding of what happened. Was more interested in eye rolling with her compadre. While I was waiting, all of a sudden the chicken just dropped out of the bottom of the bag all over the floor! I have been in the service industry my entire life and NEVER have I treated anyone (even a legitimate pain in the a$$) like I was treated today. I even apologized for the chicken falling on the floor. I was mortified. Another manager (older guy) was in the isle pretending not to hear the issue and he didn't make an effort to help. Recently I had to buy something here because I could not find it at a smaller store. And in fact, I had a very hard time locating the product at this store. I asked 3 different people who didn't know, and eventually found it on my own. A few days later, I was at WinCo and found the same product for 1/4 of the price. There is no excuse for marking up a shelf-stable product to 75% more than the standard retail price.

It's confusing and unreliable. If you're going to require paid reservations--especially for school groups--please make sure your system works correctly. On top of that, parking is a nightmare. There aren't enough spots, which makes the whole process even more stressful when you're trying to coordinate with a school group and young kids.

No shade so be sure to bring a hat and water. Small food truck offering drink and snacks. Small sundries shop as well. I didn't see any restroom facilities and it's not a major exit off the freeway so come prepared.

We went across the street for riding lessons for the girls. Door dash and instacart work here which was nice. Overral worth it and we would come back. Great for families and adult get a ways. I could see this being great for a wedding or Bachelorette get a way.

I especially appreciated what seemed like local art being used throughout the entire house to tastefully decorate -- without going overboard with clutter. That was well done. But, netting out at almost $800/night increases expectations and so it probably deserves more like 3 or 3-1/2 stars. It was a 3 bedroom home and was ok -- nothing fancy or high-end. So maybe the cost was based on the size? Importantly, what we really believed we were paying extra for that would have been worth the money was the "farm stay" aspect. It may have been a house on a farm property, but it was not a "farm stay experience." The only thing that came close were the animals, but their enclosures were small, cramped, on the side of the road (which was steep and hard to walk on), and the animals did not look healthy or well taken care of. The alpaca's fur was matted up and many of the chickens had bald spots on their backs, potentially due to overcrowding, rooster overbreeding, or aggressively going after each other in such a small space for so many hens (and hopefully not from parasites). It was a side show vs. a real farm experience. Back to the house, another attraction in the listing was the hot tub -- but it had a really horrible smell. The towels we used to dry off with kept the smell too. We used it on the first day, but not afterward. It's a shame. If the hot tub issue were fixed, the property is nice enough, but I do believe it is mis-marketed. It'd probably be very appealing for a bigger group who is visiting the Temecula wine country scene, but who doesn't want to be in the middle of the fray and, instead, wants a quieter location that feels off the beaten path. It should not be marketed as a "farm stay." And the poor animals should definitely go, especially as they feel like such an after thought on the property anyhow.
