Super friendly local fruit stand in Fallbrook, located off of the 15 and 76. They have a variety of seasonal fruit, including avocados, tangerines, persimmon, and strawberries. Avocados are usually $5/bag but they will occasionally run a special for 2 for $8. They also sell honey and other little snacks which I haven't tried yet but seem to be popular as well as some plants in the outdoor area. Always happy to support local businesses! read more

Such a disappointment from my last purchase. We just stopped there on Saturday to get avocados and tomatoes and I just took the tomatoes out of the little red mesh they wrap them in to find 2 tomatoes covered in mold. What really is upsetting is that it appears they purposely packed the tomatoes where the mold was hidden. read more

The odds of me coming back to this fruit stand are good if I'm heading north on I-15. The bummer is that I rarely head that way. Stopped by this place today and didn't regret it. All fresh produce including some nuts, honey, and in season veggies. One of the girls gave me a quick avocado lesson on the various types. (I had no idea there were so many types) She was super friendly and helpful. I grabbed some mangoes, pistachios, avocados, cucumbers, and grapefruit. It was a total score. You are far more likely to score here than at the many small Indian casinos in the area, Pala, Pauma and Valley View, to name a few. (Tee hee, I rhymed!) Heading east on Hwy 76, just after you get off the 15 freeway, is a homely wooden shack surrounded by a big, dusty parking lot. Force yourself to turn your steering wheel in that direction. This is a great stop for local avocados, citrus (oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons), and honey! Well, there are some other local fruits as well, but I can assure you, you will be reaping the benefits of this sun drenched, rocky area. Since it was early August, they had huge bags of Valencia oranges selling for $8 a bag, sacks of Hass avocados (the best tasting!), and several other avocado varieties that were the size of footballs. You can buy by the bag or by the piece. There were sweet honey tangerines and the saddest looking but most succulent, sweet tree-ripened nectarines on the planet. I knew those nectarines were winners by just waving them past my nose. Better than candy. Sure, their offerings are limited, not trying to emulate the typical roadside stands that import some of their stock from other areas. But if you want the hands down best, this spot will fill that need. Then, if you must, you can continue winding down Hwy 76 where you can toss you money into the slots and get mesmerized by the ringing bells. You know I'm a local in Fallbrook & I've been going to this place for years. Would have given it 4+ stars quite often, despite limitations. But lately & especially yesterday, $14 for a medium sized bag of Valencias?!! I can get BETTER, organic, for $3 and closer to home! All the summer nectarines & white peaches & such, tiny bags for $5 apiece! The place was never like this. But really come for the avocados. So I was really irked when she over-charged me for just 2 avocados (since the $5 bags are lately all tiny specimens that are not so reliable) & 2 Valencia oranges. When I pointed out the rack I'd gotten the avocados from, she she made a 50 cent quick adjust, meaning the Valencias were $1 each. So little for so much, at a stand. Outrageous. Pisses me off. And considering not returning, despite the fact that good fruit stands, even in this ranch community, are hard to find. read more

If you ever find yourself on HWY 15 at the Pala/Oceanside/Hwy 76 exit and you've got a hankerin' for some sweet delicious Satsuma Tangerines then get off the freeway and head east to the Hwy 76 Fruitstand. We've been going to this little gem of a place for years and it has sort of become a family tradition. We make sure to stop in and buy at least two bags of tangerines on our way to or from going to see family that live up in Riverside (Rivertucky). The little lady that runs the place is always so sweet and nice and always offers you a sample of whatever she has. Today we tried a sweet lime and it was TOTALLY sweet, not tart at all! We bought a bag of about 12 for 2$. They have recently expanded and now have a lot of produce for sale like Guava's Persimons, Avocados...pretty much whatever is in season. But I suggest you get the bag of tangerines. You won't be disappointed. read more

One of the best sources of locally produced fruits and vegetables available in San Diego county. They often have multiple varieties of avocados not available at other produce sellers. In addition the venders are friendly a very knowledgable about what will be available later in the year. read more

Love this stand. Local, in season produce is always the best. Right now they have the sweetest and juiciest tangerines....skip the grocery store and get the flavor here...avocados are bomb and they carry a huge selection of local honey. I am always happy with what I get here and the price is pretty good too- sure I can get tangerines cheaper at Costco but if they taste like dried out socks I'd rather pay an extra buck here while helping support local agriculture! read more

This small family owned fruit stand is a gem out of the past. We've been fortunate to drive by there every weekend for the last 12 yrs. Not a UPC sticker on a single item all hand picked by local farms the staff is the most knowledgeable you will ever find. In late Feb - March the best Grapefruit, Tangerines and Tangelos, several to many varieties of Avacados, local honey and just a mere hop skip and a jump off I-15 at Hwy 76 and just down the street is the most amazing Mission in CA also. Prices are equal or less than supermarkets but you know it was ripe when harvested. Love this place!! read more

I stop here every time I head up the 15. They have so many varieties of avocados almost all year. The people who work there are so friendly and remember you if you come back semi regularly.
