Wow!! Now THIS is a top-notch Farmers Market (and I consider myself to be a Farmers Market…read moreconnoisseur). If you can get over the fact that parking is a nightmare (tip: get there early and use the free parking lot at the DMV) you'll love every second of your time here. We got there around 9:30am and were lucky enough to snag a spot at the aforementioned lot - about a 5 minute walk from the start of the market. From there, we took about 2 hours to fully explore, including a quick stop at a cute and affordably-priced vintage stop right off the vendors' booths. There is a huge variety of goods, mostly consumables with a few jewelry and handmade goods worked in. The vast majority of consumables booths had samples. I tried balsamic vinegars, loads of dips, some fresh fruit and tomatoes, bread, tempeh, you name it. I wasn't even hungry for lunch after going! If you aren't keen on samples, there are lots of prepared food booths for a full meal. Prices are reasonable. I bought a delicious Mediterranean 3 layer dip for $6 and my brother got a massive focaccia loaf for $10. The vendors were very friendly and helpful. Many (most?) also had business cards with shipping info if you're like me and have a full suitcase already. I would consider this market a must-visit if you find yourself in San Diego on a Sunday. Loved it!

[Parking]: Difficult parking situation, but I got really lucky and found a street parking spot near the intersection of Cleveland Ave and Richmond St at 9 AM. Apparently visitors can park for free at the DMV parking lot (3960 Normal St), but the lot fills up quickly so come early. According to the website, visitors can also park at the United States Postal Service parking lot at 3911 Cleveland Ave. [Amenities & vendors]: The farmers market does not accept EBT. The market takes up about three large blocks and visitors can find produce, gifts, arts and crafts, flowers, clothing, etc. Not many fruit stands offer samples, but other non-fruit food vendors do provide free samples. The market also has a solid food court including one vendor selling coconut pancakes (Coconut & Co. Thai Fusion). The coconut pancakes (aka khanom krok - $4 for 8 pieces) reminded me of the sticky rice from mango sticky rice and these pancakes were actually quite good. [Conclusion]: Our party only ended up staying for 30 minutes, but overall this is a great farmers market for anyone who's looking for solid one-stop food options and not necessarily looking for a produce-focused farmers market.

There's something for everybody and something special you can find! I loved the fresh baked goods from 1 stand, the biltong meat sticks, and the Carribbean food. The parking can get crazy so take what you can find. I am annoyed there is no seating at the market so you can enjoy your meal. I couldn't even find a public trashcan. I wish it was a more friendly place for the prepared food where the market is open later and you don't have to stand to eat your food.

The food all looks great, but there is no place to eat it. There is a big area near the booths that could be set up with tables, which I'm sure the vendors would appreciate and enable them to enjoy more sales. 2. It's only open until 12:00 and while I'd like to try the food, I don't eat lunch before 12:30 or later. It should be open until at least 1:00. 3. The website says that dogs are not allowed, but they are everywhere and it's a pain to avoid them and tripping over their leashes. There also health department regulations FOR GOOD REASONS, to not have animals around food.

Basically a series of booths selling olive oil baskets, some fruits and vegetables and not much else. I came here just to try Press Espresso, one of few shops and eateries at this plaza, but didn't realize it was in such a historic place. I initially thought all the shops here were recently build to look like the old west, but in reading about the history on its website, learned that this area has been in existence since 1867. According to the website, it has been the heart of Temecula since then. Originally built by German immigrant, Louis Wolf, it was used as a trading post next to Temecula Creek. After his death in 1905, area was purchased by Arizona cattle baron, Walter Vail, who turned it into a cattle ranch. In 1964, it was sold to developers who turned it into a master-planned community. The area remained vacant for several decades until it was restored fully in 2007. This place now houses several unique shops and eateries, and is also used for events and Farmers Market. This is actually a plaza within a bigger plaza, which has more commercial retailers like Kohl's, Walmart, Marshalls, and several others. Kind of an odd mix, but glad the city decided to keep a portion of its history alive.

I stopped at a fruit stand, truly wish I could remember which one and I grabbed some enormous peaches, they looked too good to pass up. I've never been so serious when I tell you that these peaches, were out of this damn world. I have never in my life had a peach this good. I think I've told at least 10 people since I've been back in New York about these peaches. Unreal. They had flower stands, produce, dips, pizzas, kombucha, fresh pastas, granola, baked goods, breads, gluten free options, I mean something for everyone and more. The place was absolutely hopping, a total mad house in the best way possible. Now let's talk about Grammy's Granola. I meant the nicest woman to ever walk this sweet planet Earth, Janet. She was from Long Island like me and she made my day and more. I bought her unbelievable zucchini bread and it was DELICIOUS. This is a stand you cannot miss, this woman is a gem!!!
