Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the little farmers market at the Vale ranch HQ. It was lovely, although pretty small. Basically a series of booths selling olive oil baskets, some fruits and vegetables and not much else. It was a very nice add to the plaza and I'm happy that I had the opportunity to see it because my intention was just having a coffee shop The Press espresso. This plaza is very charming, with a lot of trees, boutiques, coffee, shop, restaurants, and big Central space to enjoy the farmers market itself or other activities, this is a must visit in Temecula. read more

I can't speak about the events at this place, but I appreciate the history and work done to preserve this area. I came here just to try Press Espresso, one of few shops and eateries at this plaza, but didn't realize it was in such a historic place. I initially thought all the shops here were recently build to look like the old west, but in reading about the history on its website, learned that this area has been in existence since 1867. According to the website, it has been the heart of Temecula since then. Originally built by German immigrant, Louis Wolf, it was used as a trading post next to Temecula Creek. After his death in 1905, area was purchased by Arizona cattle baron, Walter Vail, who turned it into a cattle ranch. In 1964, it was sold to developers who turned it into a master-planned community. The area remained vacant for several decades until it was restored fully in 2007. This place now houses several unique shops and eateries, and is also used for events and Farmers Market. This is actually a plaza within a bigger plaza, which has more commercial retailers like Kohl's, Walmart, Marshalls, and several others. Kind of an odd mix, but glad the city decided to keep a portion of its history alive. read more

I went to the vintage clothing pop up today and after the event my group and I wandered into Veil Ranch Headquarters antique shop where miscellaneous items are sold. The prices were extremely reasonably but a lot of the stickers were faded. I found a little green faery doll in a cabinet and after inspecting it could not locate the price.  My group and I brought it to the man named Bill that was guarding the door and greeting guests to ask the price since the actual cashier line was too long. Bill said "Oh the little green Santa that was sitting in the sale section! The price here says 12 dollars (proceeded to point out the label) but you could probably offer something lower!" Thrilled I waited in line and when I got to the counter I asked Cheryl Cady "The price is 12 dollars but since it's on sale would you take 11?" Cheryl then started screeching it's not 12 it's 35! She kept pointing at the price label and apparently the other gibberish that was barely legible said "35". I informed her the man named Bill said it was 12 and that it was on sale. She then moved some of the vases that were covering the sale paper and revealed it was "Sale Roseville Pottery" VERY MISLEADING.  But regardless I informed her I would then just buy it at 12. Again she screeched at me and said "Someone call Darryl." I was forced to wait for Darryl Farmbach to arrive 15 minutes later. He let me know he was the manager and that the price was 35 and that Bill was a volunteer so he doesn't know what he's saying. Now I'm a manager at a retail store myself and even if my untrained interns or heavly trained sales associates misinform a guest, I will honor the price since that's what they told the guest. Bill was all but yelling at me "To get out and that it's 35 take it or leave it!" I said fine forget it but I'd like your names and to take a picture for a some Yelp, Google and Facebook reviews. The best part was while I was being chased out he started pulling out his phone to take a picture of me! Standard retail policy prohibits employees from taking pictures of customers. TLDR Darryl Farmbach and Cheryl Cady are terrible at customer service and handling situations. You should never yell at a guest and honor the price an associate told them. read more

The vibe here was cool however, there was a small cheese and wine place just to the left once you walk in. We ordered the wine and cheese flight and let me tell you, it was a freaking RIP OFF!. She poured about a sip in each glass and 3 very small pieces of cheese. We were so disappointed in the amount we got for what we paid. We frequent wineries and tastings on a regular basis and we chose NEVER AGAIN to this place. Other than that, Vail was great and a cool place for the family. read more

Its really more of a 3 and half stars but I'm being generous by rounding up. I love this whole little area in Temecula and the more events and activities they add to it, I personally think the better. Every Tuesday morning you can check out the Farmers Market. There may be more days but I for sure know Tuesdays before 1pm. Its a very small farmers market. Maybe smaller than the one Wednesdays at the mall but it gets the job done with basics that most Farmers markets offer. There are fruit, jewlery, crafts, and a few different food vendors. I'd like to see more food like desserts and drink vendors. I saw Great Harvest Bread company was there but I can get that anytime in Temecula. I want the unique options for sweets that you only see at Farmers Markets. Like the lady who was selling ceviche there for instance. I came here for my favorite local nursery. Its much easier than driving to their location in De Luz. They also had a little train ride for kids which was a sweet touch you rarely see at Farmer's Markets. This area is so family oriented which is great! read more

The pictures of this place are deceiving. I thought I was going to a big open area filled with shops and eateries and we get there and it's a small area in between a shopping plaza lol Safe to say we were disappointed and underwhelmed. Nothing special but worth a visit if you're at the Kohl's next door. read more

Stopped by the opening day of the farmers market at the new Vail Ranch HQ plaza (Tuesday's 9am-1pm). Seems like the normal crowd of vendors that are at the one in Old Town on Saturdays, but fewer and just one or two food vendors. Hopefully as the place develops, the stores in the plaza open, and the construction finishes, they will get more vendors. Overall the setting is nice, well the buildings are nice and rustic, but I really wish they would have done something besides dirt for the main walkway and seating area. Also, hay bales for seating doesn't seem to be well thought out either, especially during the summer. Hopefully this is just temporary as the construction finishes up, as I don't know anyone that wants to trudge through a dirt lot during a farmers market or while eating/shopping during the rest of the week. read more

Cute little Farmers Market.. Located in south Temecula off Temecula Pkwy. Confusing if you aren't familiar with the area. It's located next door to Kohl's. It's brand new so there isn't many booths just yet. Hours are 9a-1p on Tuesdays only. Not much variety to be honest. I do like the fact that you can bring your dog.. Not many farmers markets allow for that. I'll give it a 3 star for now, but once it gains some business and they are done with construction.. Hopefully there is more variety of produce and I can re-visit my review. read more

What a treat!! Love this new spot ! Shops are popping up in there and a great pizza place too! We went during the holiday time and there was a bunch of pop up tents with local vendors so we did quite a bit of Christmas shopping (well I did anyway!) Be sure to to stop and support the local shops as they one will take a bit to grab traction becuase of its location but its worth your time!! read more

Love this area when I'm in Temecula on Tuesdays. The vendors are sparse compared to other markets I've visited but I love the selection and variety. My son loves the train. Make sure you are not wearing sandals as the ground is a dirt sidewalk : ) Very cool hang out spot for a few hours. read more

This farmers market is a pleasant surprise. Its near my daughers home. I loved it. I saw veggies, plants, honey, flags, essential oils and more. The veggies area was great. The vendors took their time talking to us about their products.The honey lady talked to us about her products and let us taste them. A squash vendor gave us recipes for squash and discussed them with us. I loved it. read more
