Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the little farmers market at the Vale ranch HQ. It was…read morelovely, although pretty small. Basically a series of booths selling olive oil baskets, some fruits and vegetables and not much else. It was a very nice add to the plaza and I'm happy that I had the opportunity to see it because my intention was just having a coffee shop The Press espresso. This plaza is very charming, with a lot of trees, boutiques, coffee, shop, restaurants, and big Central space to enjoy the farmers market itself or other activities, this is a must visit in Temecula.

I came here just to try Press Espresso, one of few shops and eateries at this plaza, but didn't realize it was in such a historic place. I initially thought all the shops here were recently build to look like the old west, but in reading about the history on its website, learned that this area has been in existence since 1867. According to the website, it has been the heart of Temecula since then. Originally built by German immigrant, Louis Wolf, it was used as a trading post next to Temecula Creek. After his death in 1905, area was purchased by Arizona cattle baron, Walter Vail, who turned it into a cattle ranch. In 1964, it was sold to developers who turned it into a master-planned community. The area remained vacant for several decades until it was restored fully in 2007. This place now houses several unique shops and eateries, and is also used for events and Farmers Market. This is actually a plaza within a bigger plaza, which has more commercial retailers like Kohl's, Walmart, Marshalls, and several others. Kind of an odd mix, but glad the city decided to keep a portion of its history alive.

Vista Farmers market you never disappoint!…read more You can support all sorts of family run and privately owned businesses here. The fresh produce is great, food vendors are fantastic, friendly customers and sellers, crafters, live music by local artists, and much more to experience. It's a little bit different each time with some consistency as well. They are there rain or shine for the most part. This particular day they had a new year fire feature where you write down. What you are grateful for, what you want to let go of, and what you're going to bring in -- something that would brings light into your life. Then you toss it in and give it up to the fire. So cool. Love the cathartics of that! You can count on bringing something good home or enjoy while there every time.

The food all looks great, but there is no place to eat it. There is a big area near the booths that could be set up with tables, which I'm sure the vendors would appreciate and enable them to enjoy more sales. 2. It's only open until 12:00 and while I'd like to try the food, I don't eat lunch before 12:30 or later. It should be open until at least 1:00. 3. The website says that dogs are not allowed, but they are everywhere and it's a pain to avoid them and tripping over their leashes. There also health department regulations FOR GOOD REASONS, to not have animals around food.

I love eating, buying groceries, buying skincare, and getting sweet treats! There's always a variety of things to look at. Everyone is always so nice. A little pushy, but nice. It was a beautiful day in Oceanside. I only wanted to take a walk at the beach, but ended up here. I got persimmons at Valley Center Growers INC. They were pretty good. I then got purple & green grapes at Heritage Family Farm. They were good, but I think I waited too long to eat them later. Then I got a ranch dip at Sky's the limit dips. I bought sample serums from Kalen & Rose. I got a delicious Swedish cake from Anna's Swedish treats. I got a Ube cream filled donut from Bomb Bomb Donuts. It was so good! The cream was excellent! The last thing I got was a mango moisturizer cream from Purple Rain Lavender. It smelled yummy! The owner is so nice and I love her brand name! She's a Prince fan just like me!

Fair amount of vendors; produce, flowers, plants, clothing, food and everything in between. During my recent visit, I came home with two beautiful plants for $5 each, easy transaction thru Venmo. I also brought home a jar of Chili Crisp seasoning from Nom-Stop for $8. It's my new favorite thing I'm putting it on everything and service was nice at the booth. Lastly, I needed a refresher so I tried the hibiscus iced tea from New York gyros. Service was the best among all the vendors. Food looked great, I'll try that next time. They have a small seating/eating area near the food vendors which is a plus. Pier/beach is not too far walk from here.

There is plenty of parking. The farmers market itself takes place on the blocked off strip of parking to the east of the main building as you come in. It starts from Canyon Grille northwards and ends at the Theatre. This farmers market is on the smaller side of things. When I went there were only one or two produce vendors. There were all sorts of vendors specializing in specific items - tamales, beef jerky, cannoli, cheese, mead, dips, liver pate, argan oil, baskets to name a few. There was also an author of children's books named Dr. Hope that was selling a bunch of positive message children's books - which was unique for a farmers market. Ended up getting a liver pate from a vendor called Spread Em as well as sausage from Swiss Grill Gourmet Rotisserie. There's lounge type areas to sit down and eat whatever you buy if you climb up the steps and find chairs and tables by The Market Place. Bathrooms, if needed, are in the main building where people check into the resort and there's also a lounge area inside there as well. It's probably a bit of a drive if you don't live in the area or aren't staying at the resort but worth checking out as it's a relaxing resort atmosphere and it wasn't too crowded at all when I went.
