With a decor of cassettes tapes lining the backdrop. Simple but puts you in a familiar place but way back. My favorite booth by Road Trip seemed almost more of an art experience in itself, than a destination, picnic baskets, blankets, and pie. Some other favorites are the custom suits and the earrings made from bathing suits and they are waterproof! The VW Van and cars were fab and fitting for the day, the one side silver, one side gold marijauna earrings were a crack up and we picked up an acid dyed fedora from the 70's for my husband. And he hates vintage shopping. What a fun find. I think we missed the vinyl. They may have been playing it vs selling it. If you wanted you could pay $8 and make a macrame key chain on-site. And for $60 get a VIP ticket for Peltzer wine, a cocktail bar, a lunch ticket and a private lounge area with tents for shelter. All could attend free. This is by far the coolest event in Temecula! I attended both the November and March flea markets…read moreand I was blown away by the quality vendors and the organization of the events. The market offers amazing food trucks, fun photo backdrops, music, and even a VIP area that you can purchase tickets to before the event. Definitely plan to come early, chill, and bring your spending money because there are so many amazing vintage goodies. Although most of it is clothing, there are definitely home goods, kids items, and all kinds of other accessories too. The entire vibe is just so cool and retro. While small, it was great because the shops and restaurants that we visited were all excellent. We even got to see Dean Norris from the TV show Breaking Bad at the restaurant he owns on the main strip. Nice to see him be able to relax and enjoy himself. We will be back as the olive oil and candy stores are on our list of places to see again.

The Old Town Night Market takes place at Bailey's Restaurant on the terrace in Old Town Temecula. It is the second Tuesday of each month. Approximately 30 local makers and curators come out. Bailey's opens a full bar and they have a taco stand on-site. The activities and drawings change, this month a DJ, art and a photo booth and a Halloween theme of course. The market which is dog friendly is something we love. Our husbands went next door to Devilicous to have a beer and took the dogs so we could shop which was a dream. Cara and I strolled the market and got to know the vendors. She picked up an embroidered jacket and I picked up a handwoven bag. Although, we spent the most time with a fun mother and daughter! Check out Sparkle Sloth Studio...I introduced the biz to a few Yelpers already, as they have some fun contests. The make glitter coffee, wine and other tumblers with custom sayings just for you. I like going to drive-in I love the privacy and quietness in my vehicle. I had a mattress in the back of my truck with the tailgate propped open to lay out our goodies, and watched the movie with my girlfriend. Overall experience for her and me was awesome. We got hooked to the dual movie per screen which made the drive-in movie experience more valuable than spending your money at the movie theaters at the mall.

Took the dog for a walk through a "vintage sale" today…read more.. Great walk for the dog. Less thrilling for me. The parking lot was packed, which made me think we were about to stumble into something amazing. Instead it felt like an entire street of yard sales where everyone brought the stuff nobody wanted anymore... and now they all brought it to the same place. As we walked in, there were noticeably more people leaving empty-handed than people carrying bags. And the few who did buy something looked like they'd adopted a small trinket out of pity. "Vintage," apparently, is just a nicer word for old junk that survived the last garage sale. On the bright side... the dog had a fantastic time.

It's put on by Sarah from Cameo Appearance Vintage and she brings together the best vintage suppliers. Everything you see has been curated and is in top condition. It's very cute to stop by when I'm in the area visiting some local place in Encinitas. It's a little hard to find parking off the strip, but honestly, it's normally such a nice walk that it's hardly a bother to walk to. Dog friendly (with well-behaved owners) as are most places along the coast, and the vendors are normally sweet small business owners.
