This is a lovely little herb garden and Diane is a very nice lady. We arrived around 1pm on a hot summer day, and the sign said to call if you needed help because they had closed due to heat. She was so sweet, and said she would be right down. She met me at the gate with a smile and walked with me all over her garden showing me all the herbs I asked about, and even some I hadn't. It was a private lesson on herbs. I felt so special! I have lived here in Fallbrook for about seven years and I always drive by and I never stop in, and I wish I had sooner. This is really a hidden gem here in our little village. I can't wait to plant all the new stuff I bought. Thank You Diane!! read more

Service is great! They have a huge selection of plants and herbs. However, they haven't been open at all this year. I'm not sure if it's a temporary thing or if they are permanently closed. Such a shame, all the plants we got from them grew well and produced so much for us. read more

Diane's herbs is a place to visit many times a year! She rotates between in season crops so I always find something new here. For an herb enthusiast, you'll find herbs here that you've never heard of before. Large selection of herbs and veggies! Her hours change sometimes so I always give her a call before coming. She did note that she will be closed for all of August 2023 because the season slows down because of the heat. So go soon or come back in September for fall crops! read more

THE HONEY!!!! Such a cute little garden with a nice selection of plants , but the honey is by far the best honey I've ever had. I got a little rosemary plant and some honey and am definitely fulfilled by these choices. read more

It's a hidden gem in Fallbrook where you can find varieties of herbs and plants. The worker was so welcoming. My husband and I found this place in the early afternoon. You should take a look at their gift shop. It is so adorable shop where I found several surprising herbs like somac and calendulas. Their handmade potpourri smells amazing. The prices are reasonable. In their gardens, there were some vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers. It was such a cozy place to stop by. read more

This little nursery has the greatest selection of herbs and vegetables, so many varieties of healthy plants, it is awesome! They have over 10 different varieties of basil, they also have exotic plants you won't find other places, like 3 foot long green beans and all different colors of corn. Things you wouldn't even imagine growing, they have. And the people who work here can answer any questions and make recommendations based on your needs. I have been coming here for years to get plants, I've since moved but still make the long drive to get plants from Diane. They also have local honey and a great selection of really delicious tea. We've driven past this place many times and finally got the chance to stop by. I'm a lover of all things lavender and was curious to see what they had to offer. It's true, it's pretty dusty inside the shanty, but I don't think it affects the quality of their products. I love the country / shabby chic feel to the place. Diane was very patient and friendly, allowing me to taste all of the different varieties of honey. Yum! The lotions were fragrant and of good quality, in my opinion. Bath bombs in different scents too! At $3.50 each, I picked up a few to give as gifts. I also left with essential oil, dried lavender and some catnip for our cat. They also have a number of plants for your garden. I'll definitely be back for my lavender fix when I'm in the area. read more

If it's an off day, give her a call! She was able to meet me and sold me two types of sage when I had a culinary emergency. She had several to pick from and encouraged me to taste the leaves to see which would fit the dish I had cooking. Great selection, great service and great prices. read more

I was looking everywhere for catmint and lambsear and one of the local nurseries suggested Diane's. I called and she ordered it for me immediately. Wow. I haven't been treated like that anywhere else. When the plants came in she called and I went to pick them up. They were the healthiest happiest plants I have purchased anywhere. I was at the Del Mar Fairground's garden show and Diane's herbs was one of the vendors. I happened to be fairly close by (stayed overnight @ Pechanga) so I decided to head over there. Diane's has a decent variety of herbs/veggies ... some that are different than the usual you find at the garden centers - aka heirloom varieties. There was a handy-man guy that was REALLY sweet and friendly and we just struck up a conversation about what he was making (wood garden tables w/ mesh) for the plants to sit on. He doesn't work there all the time - just works on projects - but he was so helpful to me and answered questions about the plants. The actual staff - not that impressed with. I went into the small retail area to pay for the herbs. They really don't have a spot for you to set down your heavy tray... so I finally figured out that the staff person/lady wasn't too concerned that I was waiting and she continued her personal conversation (it was about her health issues and nutrition with the customer in front of me)... so I put the tray outside and waited super patiently (I'm talking a long time folks - not just a few minutes... plus of course I had to go to the bathroom by this point - and they don't offer a public restroom). But really, I thought it was just rude (esp. after the clerk got the lady's website info) wrap up the conversation already! But honestly - I'm giving this a 3 star rating not just because of that - but I was thinking this place would have a larger variety. The retail area is very small and some of the mdse. looks like its been sitting there for a long time...(aka lotions/soaps). I would not return based on that. If you were in the Fallbrook area - ok - yes, visit - I would not go out of my way to make a trip for this place. read more

I have been going to Diane's Herbs & Flowers for many years. I get all of my new tomato varieties here and she's always been helpful with advice and recommendations for a vital and tasty crop. Sometimes she will hold a Lavender Festival with workshops and I've brought my grandchildren with me to make Lavender Wands and other wonderful craft items. It's always a pleasant and educational experience spending time at her Shanty, where she also sells lotions and balms. read more

Diane is AMAZING! I drove in from LA to see what she had to offer and I was so happy I made the trip. Her plant selection was just what I was looking for. Plenty of spices, flowers and veggies. She mentioned she would have a bigger selection in 2 weeks. I brought my children with me. She has a sandbox/play area near her plants so parents can explore while kids play. She gave great instruction and truly loves what she does. Make sure you prepare your soil at home before you come and shop. She said she doesn't want to sell plants that will sit in pots and die. A new resident to Fallbrook (only been here a year) so naturally i wanted to stop in and check out this quaint little shop - well i was very much NOT IMPRESSED - the nursery area and the little country store was it - more impressed with the nursery ..Went inside the store and was appalled at how Dirty and Dusty it was - didnt make you want to touch anything at all - Dirt covered most items on the shelves - and obviously no one cared to clean up their store - not appealing at all read more
